State of the art airport with state of the art facilities. The hub of British 🇬🇧 Airways. Spent close to 7 hours and it was the most bearable layover I've ever experienced. Well connected terminals with trains and we'll labelled with information screens almost everywhere to help you find your way. COVID-19 protocols are well observed with mask wearing enforced and sanitation points almost within an arm's reach everywhere. There are numerous customer support booths for those just in case moments and clarifications or to just get general help with your airline. Found it very convenient that there were so many charging stations for your devices and the waiting bay area seats are also equipped with charging ports, though not all were working. One thing to note is that to use them your charger should have the English style plug 🔌. The terminals have lots of shopping areas to buy a wide range of stuff from souvenirs to liquor and perfumes. There are also numerous restaurants to eat from 🍜 🍖🥓. The airport also has quite areas and prayer 🤲 rooms. All in all it is a very equipped airport to sort out almost the needs of anyone transiting through London.

Brilliant airport if you like shopping. Good train links between the different terminals. This is first time I have seen a prayer room in an airport which is good. Also think its good that there are paramedics on bikes

Heathrow was founded as a small airfield in 1929, but was developed into a much larger airport post-World War Two. The airport, which lies 14 miles (23 km) west of Central London on a site that covers 12.27 square kilometres (4.74 sq mi), gradually expanded over the next seventy-five years, and now has two parallel east–west runways along with four operational passenger terminals, and one cargo terminal.[4] The airport is the primary hub for British Airways and the primary operating base for Virgin Atlantic; in 2019, it handled a record 80.8 million passengers, a 0.9% increase from 2018, as well as 475,861 aircraft movements

Very large and busy airport yet it is still very clean and well managed. Free wifi is available throughout the airport and is of good speed. Plenty of dining and shopping options available. It is well connected to the rest of the city via buses and trains. Just remember to arrive well advance in time as the check in counters can be quite crowded and also it takes some time to walk to the boarding gates.

International airport as you would expect very busy at times, security is paramount and very accurate, thank you for that. Shops are not cheap but they never are in any airport I have seen before. Parking could be a bit cheaper, especially for long stays, but connection by shuttle to terminals is frequent every 8- 10 minutes, and only takes about 10 minutes to reach, so pretty good. It depends on where you are travelling from to get to Heathrow, before you travel must consider the times of the day you are leaving and traffic conditions. Take your time and safe journey.

Had to transit via Heathrow Terminal 5 on my way to India from Edinburgh. A interesting 2.5 waiting time filled with coffee and croissants. Clean toilets and bright and cheerful spaces take away the tediousness of the waiting. Liked it!!

Flew with BA from T5. Easy drop off, £5 charge for the person who dropped me off, easy to pay online. Straight into arrivals and to security, well laid out. All staff are polite. A few changes to security policy, liquids in a small clear pouch but in your bag, my watch didn't trigger any security alert, and it was very smooth to get through. Took no more than 10 minutes. Went down the escalator to the gates and shops/restaurants with enough time to grab breakfast and pick up water and some snacks from Boots. Before my gate was announced. Easy to find. Same with the toilets. Lovely and clean, no Que, my flight was full, so needed to put my cabin bag in the hold. BA staff were lovely and polite and as a solo traveller made sure I was OK and knew where I was dropping my bag. Very good experience. Felt confident boarding. Will use BA & T5 again.

London Heathrow Airport is a bustling hub, offering an extensive range of amenities and services. Its vast terminals can be overwhelming, but efficient signage helps navigate. Varied dining, shopping, and lounges cater to diverse preferences. Connectivity via public transport is convenient, though security queues can be lengthy during peak hours. Overall, a well-equipped airport for a comfortable travel experience.

Heathrow! Wow! A very lovely airport. It is very large and diverse. It is a very busy airport with flights going to numerous destinations. As big as Heathrow airport, you can hardly get lost or confused because the information boards are well detailed, and the directions/signs are well arranged and legible. I love this Airport so much.

Super impressed with the cleanliness and staff's professionalism. There are plenty of charging stations to charge your electronic devices. The restrooms are very clean and spacious. The "hygiene technicians" are always at work cleaning the surface areas and carts during this pandemic times. My experience at the Heathrow airport was awesome!

Very efficient handling of passengers - I must confess, when we arrived at the transfer security check, we were the only passengers , so they processed us promptly. The Air Canada lounge is quite cozy but was not very crowded at the time of our visit and the view of tarmac was good from here.

This terminal 5 is the best and top-rated British airport terminal. This is the home of British Airways and also Qatar Airways. The terminal is very clean and covid19 secure. They have introduced self drop in bags. Like if you have checked in online, then you go there and scan your boarding pass to print the label and then drop it there. See pictures about it. The whole experience is contactless, and they train to take passengers between different places. The security is good and pretty quick through. I'm not sure if they allow you to upgrade so that you go through a particular section. They have at Gatwick for £5 per person. There is a lot of space for duty-free and heard business lounge is very premium 😅 if you're travelling business class or just bought a lounge pass.

Not sure I liked T4. It defiantly had its pros. The check in desks were literally opposite the lifts as I arrived so zero walking. Very easy to get though security and very short walk to gate 8. Just seemed to lack the excitement . I found T3 did that more .. biyt definitely 100% for ease and straightforwardness

It is a very extensive airport. It has a very diverse group of shops and it was nicely decorated for the holidays and the people were pretty nice. I wish I would have had time to shop but getting there an hour and a half before departure wasn't long enough. I wish there were more information booths for international travelers along with how to request assistance with wheelchair transportation to the terminals. It was definitely a longer extensive process to get through terminal trains, security, waiting for elevators, bathrooms, etc. There's a lot of walking with a few auto walks, 1 broken. Security: I had to be deeply padded down due to my two knee replacements, wait in line with 4 to 5 people as security went through their bags for liquids (standing about addl 20min). I didn't understand the clear bag policy for liquids. They had me remove all of them from my luggage that were in my thicker Ziploc bags to their thin clear bags which was highly impractical. Much easier in the US. The check bag station wasn't clear how to attach the printed luggage tag & the guy managing it was rather grumpy after telling people to "put the red dots together". We are used to pulling the tag backside off to get the sticky portion to adhere together. Their process was much better than the US once I understood how to do it. Overall it was nice to stay in the hotel at terminal 2-3 onsite & didn't need a taxi. But you will certainly do a lot of walking. I would get there 2-3hrs in advance if you didn't want to rush with your heavy, numerous bags.

This is one of the best Airports I went through with neat and organized staff. The self check-in counters were fantastic as I printed my boarding pass and did the checked luggages by myself in an amusing way. The security officers were polite and even when I mistakenly placed my hair gel and deodorant in the cabin luggage, the committed the search in a polite way and finished it in 10 minutes.

Heathrow Airport in London is definitely one of the best and busiest airports in the world, and my recent experience there only confirmed my opinion. Despite the large number of people passing through the airport, everything runs smoothly and efficiently. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, providing excellent service whenever I needed it. The facilities are top-notch, with a vast selection of shops and restaurants to choose from, making the airport a great place to spend some time for those with layovers or long waits for flights. The airport also offers a range of services, such as lounges and spa treatments, to make the travel experience even more comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend Heathrow Airport for anyone traveling to or from London."

Heathrow Airport is an excellent airport that is very well-organized and spacious. Despite its large size, the airport flows smoothly, as evidenced by the numerous planes taking off and landing seen on the flight radar. The interior design is outstanding, with plenty of space in the center of the passenger terminal, providing a comfortable and stress-free experience for travelers. There are also many duty-free shops along the sides of the terminal that offer a variety of products. Moreover, the presence of numerous escalators helps to expedite travelers' journeys. Overall, my experience at Heathrow was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I'm looking forward to visiting this airport again in the future.

One of the most busiest and large airports in the world!! And you can feel it as soon as you enter the airport. Very long corridors with plenty of self check in kiosks and plenty of self baggage drop counters. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved the duty free area. Lot of options to get yourself pampered with shopping and food and drinks. Of course there are exclusive lounge options which could be accessed either by paying or complementary cards!!

Very good experience. Departing was easy, security was easy and restaurants were very good and optional. Lots of stores and also arriving is not fast at all. No queues or anything, only thing is parking was quite stressful. This isn’t just about the entire airport by the way but about just Terminal 5. Love the airport and would 100% fly from here again and also thank you British Airways for the flight.

It is Doha Airport in Qatar not Heathrow 🙏🏻 Somehow I or Google messed it up. One of the best Airport I have ever seen and I have travelled a lot. Clean and fully staffed. Loads of shops and facilities. Smokers room spread around the building. Staff is courteous and helpful.

Maybe it's just me but for a large airport, this one is very efficient. Only 2 out of 10 security kiosks open leading to artificial line ups. Staff don't seem in a hurry to assist. Really lacks automated self checks like some other modern airports. My experience wasn't great compared to Gatwick.

Great place, there are amazing hotels. They care very much about their visitors, We had to land here because the plane had a little problem. We had to stay in a hotel here although we have a place here in. London , it’s because we didn’t have the house keys. We stayed here for a few days and every few hours I would look out and see the planes flying. This was back in 2013, thank you Heathrow Airport.

(Translated by Google) Britain has nearly 130 licensed airports, but only a few can handle long-haul airlines. The largest airport is Heathrow Airport in London, which is the world's busiest airport, and one of the main airports in Europe for travel across countries. Most of the world's major airlines fly through Heathrow, direct flights from almost all major cities. Other international airports include Gatwick and Stansted in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham and Edinburgh. There are also smaller airports, such as London City, Bristol, Norwich and Cardiff, from which there are daily flights to Europe. And strict anti-terror measures are being taken at all airports. This place is your classic airport ✈️. Take offs 🛫, landings 🛬, shuttles 🚍, baggage claim, 🛄, and more. Remember to check in 24 hours before arriving. Arrive early 🕐 as there might be long lines for security. 🪪 Avoid checking in your luggage 🛅 if you can as they are bad as getting your suitcases 🧳 to their final destination. I wish their baggage care was better and their gate representatives were more friendly!

Not only is this airport clean, orderly and easy to navigate… it’s also visually appealing. There are a plethora of shops in each terminal, where you can buy literally anything your heart desires (from food, to clothing, to souvenirs), food and snacks and gourmet chocolate, or anything you may have forgotten to pack, or left in your hotel room, as you rushed to the airport to catch your flight. The icing on the cake = never, as a gluten and dairy free eater, have I ever been able to eat such a delicious pre flight meal, let alone had so many options of food and drinks to choose from.

I landed at terminal 3. The airport is huge!!! The immigration took quiet fast as there is officer who always tell where is the empty counter to go. Then I went to bus center as I had to take bus to Sheffield. For first timers, the labels and signage are good. It can tell you where to go. And from terminal 3 to bus center was very far. You had to go through tunnel that was beautiful with purple colour. And I was lost in terminal 2 as I wanted to eat halal food. So I had to go back to central bus station that was quiet difficult for me to find the way. Finally I arrived at the central bus station for national express and bought the ticket. The airport is so huge and it connects train and bus as well. Too bad I didn't find halal food here but I bought vegetarian food at the central bus station.

A large airport which is well connected and well maintained. There are a few cafes that stay open till 11 PM so if you have a overnight layover make sure you get something to eat before 11. It is very quiet at night so spending the night at the airport is also possible.

Easy access, plenty of space in security and a generally easy airport to navigate around. Great selection of retail and restaurants to choose from, we flew Virgin Upper Class and had a separate check in, security and lounge but overall the airport was easy. Good motorway links arrived at peak and not too much traffic but then this all depends on other road users not getting it wrong!

My experiences at Heathrow seem to be improving every year. I was lucky enough on this trip to be on an international business class flight, and due to an emergency surgery, I had wheelchair assistance throughout my departure. So, nice lounge, reasonably short lines, helpful porters, it was all good.

This is a very busy airport. I landed with Virgin Atlantic in Terminal 3. The immigration process for me went smoothly, although there were very long lines, as I said, it is a busy airport, so there were several flights that landed at the same time that my flight landed. Despite this, the immigration officers worked fairly quickly and we were able to get to baggage claim in no time. There are also several stores where you can get different services such as snacks or drinks. There’s even a Marks & Spencer express grocery store there where you can even purchase some ready meals. What’s more, if you need a SIM card, there are vendors that will assist you with getting one, as well as there are vending machines where you can just purchase your SIM card on your own. Another good thing about the Heathrow airport is that they have baggage storage! I found this to be extremely convenient as I had two large suitcases, and I needed to walk around to kill some time before my coach bus left the airport so this was very convenient for me and I wish every airport had this. Oh, and there’s also a hotel (Aerotel) in this terminal. I appreciate that option being available to travelers. As I was only in Terminal 3 I can’t speak to what is available in other terminals.

It is very spacious, clean and the multiple signages make it easy for first timers to navigate their way in the airport. The staff members were polite and helpful. However, the air-conditioners at the UK Border weren't that much effective cause we were all feeling (could be that we walked for quite sometime🤷🏾‍♀️). The multiple shops in the airport are also helpful when you need snacks, last minute gifts and books to read while flying.

Heathrow is one of world’s busiest airports. Huge airport with five terminals. Neat and clean and have force of staff who are very helpful. Huge building and they made it easy for everyone with signs for good directions. Big parking for long or short stay. Connected with city centre by train, underground and buses. Love to travel by Heathrow again and again.

Clean and efficient airport. It is one of the best airports that I've used and is the best way of welcoming foreign visitors to the United Kingdom. The Arrivals and Departures both run smoothly. There are always queues but they are managed well. I loved the little touch about Christmas that was in the Arrivals section (see photo) that was in display on Christmas Eve. It brought a smile to the faces around me.

There are strict restrictions implemnted due to the travel restrictions and travel ban. And its mandatory to have a valid covid 19 pcr test results within 72hrs of flight. Need to complete self declaration form and other forms according to the country which we have travel to. And strictly ESSENTIAL TRAVEL only. Came to know that Etihad airlines stop there services to UK from AbuDabhi till 15-April2021.. Need to contact airlines services before you plan the journey or start the journey to ensure a tension free flight experience..

I understand Heathrow is one of the busiest of the airports hence all the expectations of the facilities could not be matched. Few of the departure gates don't have washroom facilities nearby and one has to walk back a considerable distance to attend to the nature's call. Few of the airlines complete the security checks of the passengers way ahead of the departure schedule and such passengers are then inside a closed hall and senior citizens like me face discomfort to go out if a need to go to the washroom is felt. When I say this I fully understand the enormous task that is professionally handled by the airport staff and I am particularly impressed by the courteous response that I always receive be it a casual query or responses of the staff manning the shuttle service for the change of terminals. The lounge facilities are also up to the mark and one gets the required rest while waiting for the connecting flights.

It is a large and modern airport, with meticulous security check points. Plan accordingly because it might take 20 minutes to travel between the gates, not mentioning terminals. Additionally, there is a subway that travels to and from downtown London, which can be a cost-effective option for those traveling without large amounts of luggage.

Went to T5 , loads of parking space and easy to go straight into the terminal for arrivals or departures. You can drop-off however if you are picking someone up then you have to park up and then pick them up. It's the only way. And it can cost quite a bit in terms of parking.

Smooth, efficient terminal and airport, on the whole. However, I did experience a very irritating, frustrating hitch at check in at Virgin- payment acknowledgement and receipt for my Covid test upon return not reflected on the 'Permit to fly' certificate, and airport screening staff proving intransigent and inflexible, thus making nonsense of my early arrival and condemning me to wait over an hour and a half, before finally looking at the receipt I had already presented 5 times and taking the details. I was not remotely amused!

The plane was canceled for some reason, and spent the night in a glass hall, which was locked because there was no visa to England ... Chips and whiskey, then found an apple, and then slept on the playground until opened ... that's such a tolerant Heathrow) (Original)

Nice enough international airport though terminal 4 isn’t exactly luxury. Waiting times aren’t necessarily good, but then that’s the world’s busiest airport. Overall ok airport.

Love it even though I have never flown from LHR I have always love to go there to do abit of plane spotting. The good place I used to sit was in Barclays car park opposite Hatton Cross used to see them land and sometimes take off but then Barclays went and the car park shut and couldn’t sit there anymore

Collecting passengers tonight, not busy at all although some people not wearing masks properly, easily avoided as plenty of space.

Heathrow is a beautiful airport, busy as any other major hub but I always find it convenient and efficient. Getting through security was fairly easy and the automated scanners makes the process simple. Inside the terminal you can find many options. Bathrooms are clean and well taken care off. I definitely enjoyed the experience.

Wonderful! From all airports I’ve been through, this is the one that I liked the most. The staff is incredibly helpful, kind and attentive. I take my hat off for the management of that airport. They really achieved something amazing
