Attended a wedding here yesterday and it's a super pretty venue if you're lucky enough to have the weather for an outdoor ceremony. The outdoor ceremony area is covered in case of rain, and it is strewn with fairy lights and magical moss on the ground for nice photo ops. The sound system at the back of the ceremony space was a bit rubbish though, and we didn't actually hear any of what the bride and groom were saying. This could be improved upon. Food was ok. The wait staff were young and nervous but polite and professional. All in all, a nice day in a comfortable, picturesque setting.

Normally a very beautiful and top notch place to stay and have a dinner party, however they were recently flooded out so are closed at the moment..... However acts of God do not affect how I review this totally amazing experience, the rooms are about a 12 star if such a rating existed, beautiful decor, sumptuous bedding, spotlessly clean and the service is second to none, I have dined in 3 star Michelin restaurants that Does not have service as good as you get at Hogarth's . When they reopen and if you happen to find yourself in need of a room for the night or longer and are in the Solihull area then I suggest this place, you will be glad you followed my recommendation.

Visited to celebrate my mum's birthday. I thought the food and service was quite good. Nicely dressed plates and staff attentive. My brother complained the sun was glaring into his eyes and after asking twice, they moved our table. The grounds were also nice but the patio looked tired and mortar lines were very broken up, so I'd be careful letting kids run riot here.

What a lovely afternoon we had. The staff were really friendly and got everything we asked for and needed. The food was delicious and there was so much (we had the afternoon tea) I had to take some home for another day. I loved the fact that the tea room is separate from the dinning room so it feels a little extra special. But walking through the dining room was a feast for the eyes and nose, I will be back for Sunday dinner 😋

A lovely venue for a function. I haven't experienced other aspects of the hotel, but the rooms provided for business meetings were to an excellent standard. The décor throughout and quality of furnishings and facilities ensured that everyone is comfortable throughout. The food and drinks are also excellent quality. The staff added the 5th star, presentable and pleasant.

Was here to celebrate johnsons coach Xmas party. Room was Comfortable. Staff was overworked at bar and kept calm under pressure? Hotel ground beautiful. Breakfast was hot and fresh.

I stayed at Hogarths Solihull for one night on 21 June 2023 after speaking at a conference. The hotel was recommended by my friend, who was also the conference organiser. I was very impressed by the professional and friendly welcome by the receptionist, who went out of her way to help me. The room was clean and modern with a lovely view of the garden. Everything worked as it should and I had a comfortable night's sleep. Dinner in the brasserie was excellent, with very tasty food presented well and served with perfect timing.

We only had lunch there, rather than stay at the hotel, but would thoroughly recommend! It was for a special occasion, and the staff there really helped to make it special - with really intuitive service, and drinks on arrival. It was a good balance of being helpful, without hovering constantly. Food was lovely too!

Myself and my Husband come to this hotel a lot. We've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, we even just stop by for drinks, or lunch after shopping. The Hotel rooms are lovely, the staff are attentive an very pleasant. It's perfect for our needs, we stay in Hotels a lot, and it still remains one of our favourite hotels even after coming to this hotel for over 10 years it still is our favourite.

Had afternoon tea for two, both dairy and gluten free. We had been searching for a venue than offered both for a long time and had been let down before. Hogarths did not disappoint. Our afternoon tea was perfect, and the service was impeccable. The grounds are lovely to walk around and the drinks choice is vast. Would recommend.

I feel really bad putting such a horrible review but I can't believe for a family event with a group spending over £3,000 for food and drinks to have such an awful meal and service Don't book for a large group booking. You will be spending £50 per person for the most disgusting food ive ever tasted. I went earlier this evening and cannot express how ill I feel whilst writing this review. The site is very nice and looks great, this is what attracts people to the venue, the food will stop you from returning.

Just attended a wedding here and had the most memorable time. What a perfect venue, grounds are beautiful , the staff could not do enough for us. Only minor thing was the bedroom was so hot (aircon was not working) & the bathroom radiator was blasting out heat (we managed to turn this off) Highly recommend this venue & thank you to Hogarths for our lovely experience.

A beautiful small hotel with easy access from the NEC andM42 but feels a million miles away in the countryside. Beautiful rooms which are clean and well serviced. Good food with attentive staff. All well priced and great value.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hogarths Hotel Solihull, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel’s stunning countryside location provided a serene and picturesque backdrop for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and ensured every aspect of my visit was met with warmth and professionalism. The room was beautifully appointed, offering a perfect blend of modern comfort and classic charm. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the luxurious bedding to the immaculate cleanliness. The amenities provided were top-notch, making my stay truly indulgent. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was an absolute delight. The menu featured a diverse selection of delicious dishes, expertly prepared and presented with finesse. The quality of the food surpassed my expectations, and the attentive service only added to the delightful dining experience. Furthermore, the hotel’s facilities, including the spa and leisure area, were excellent, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation. Overall, Hogarths Hotel Solihull exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable stay in a beautiful setting.

Really nice location in Solihull. Plenty of secure parking was a relief to begin with. I received a lovely warm welcome at reception and my room was fantastic; really pleased with the facilities, cleanliness and decor. Room size was decent and bed comfortable. Quality toiletries definitely lifted the experience as it shows care has been taken. Just an overnight stay whilst at an event so several things I can’t comment on: I didn’t eat here or get anything from the bar however it all looked well presented and properly staffed when I passed by. I would definitely consider staying again if I’m in the area.

Nice hotel but the room I had had a faulty bath plug and towel rail. I paid almost £170 for the room also which was disappointing. The bed was comfortable and the service from the staff was unquestionable. I managed to get myself a free breakfast too which was nice due to the room issues. Food here is great.

So we had a wedding here which was beautiful. Stayed over the night before and made the mistake of ordering a very expensive fish and chips. The fish was burnt. You can even see this on the image provided. That batter is not golden brown, and you could taste the carbon, especially near the tail end of the fish. When this was raised, the attendant essentially told us we were wrong and brought the food back, stating that's how the dish was made. Now I've had many fish and chips and I can guarantee it was burnt. After such disrespect, it escalated, and we were told that burnt fish was the 'Hogarths standard'. Shocking. A takeaway fish and chips has better quality than a so-called fine dining restaurant? Moving on, the room I had was pretty shocking, room 'April'. The windows, in particular, were falling apart. The overall room was quite small considering how much it cost. The TV wasn't a smart TV and was quite small. It's 2023 people. It's not worth the price considering my now wife has a much better room for the exact same price. Something to consider when booking. Moving on, the wedding buffet seemed to have been packed away before some guests had a chance to grab some. The guests made so to let us know which soured our evening a little bit. All that food was paid for, quite a lot of guests didn't show up, so there should've been a lot of leftover food. We weren't offered the remaining to take with us (both the wedding breakfast and the buffet). Seems a bit cheeky. Overall, some staff members were perfect, helpful, and really made us feel welcomed and important. Whilst a few made us feel stupid and unheard (regarding the fish complaint). The room I had seemed unfair compared to the same price my then fiance had. I gave 3 stars for the room rating as the lux suite we stayed in on the night of the wedding was much better, albeit a bit chilly. We also struggled to get our cake stand back and nearly lost our deposit on it. That's a whole other story.

I had to share a review of this hotel as I was so impressed and happy with my stay for so many reasons 1) the hotel was lovely and maintained and a great location 2) the restaurant had a lovely cosy feeling to it and I had the best steak I've had in a long time along with delicious red wine 3) my room was perfect, they didn't blast the heating to where it's unbearable (unlike other hotels), the bathroom was lovely with a powerful shower and underfloor heating. My bed was huge and I slept so well. The best thing for me was how quiet it was 4) the breakfast felt like luxury and they actually served proper coffee (from a coffee machine)!!! Thanks for a lovely unexpected stay.

We booked this venue for our wedding, and cannot recommend Hogarth's Highly enough. In spite of the wedding being postponed twice, the staff were incredibly helpful in making sure our special day went as perfectly as possible. The staff at the venue on the day made us feel at ease by being super well organised and running the day seamlessly behind the scenes.Everyone we dealt with both in the run up to and on the day itself were incredibly kind and helpful. All of our guests noted what a beautiful venue we had chosen and how great the food and amenities were. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making our wedding an absolutely incredible and unforgettable experience.

The room was very good, though originally we were given a room that was not ready, unmade bed, dirty cups, surfaces and towels. This was quickly and apologetically resolved. We had some food in the evening, the food was ok, the bill came as a bit of a shock. The main was very good, the cheese board was disappointing. Not great value for the food unfortunately (£140, 3 course meal with wine and port), I have paid a lot less for far better meals. Service left a bit to be desired, but the staff were quite young and possibly somewhat inexperienced. The breakfast we had was much better (included) and the staff on at this time clearly had more experience with people and service overall, this made up for the somewhat disappointing previous meal. Overall, the bed was comfortable and it was a nice place to stay. The value overall could be better. If you pay a lot more, you expect it to be a lot better, when it is not, it is inevitably disappointing.

Beautiful hotel with outstanding service. The staff were very helpful from start to finish. The room was modern and clean with a comfortable bed and came with all the necessities. The gardens are beautiful and the food was good. The location is great and it was easy to find. I would definitely stay here again!!

It really is a beautiful place, very laid back (a tad too much for my taste) and I am not sure if they are really used to customers from abroad (some accents were really difficult to understand). The rooms are plush but the floor uneven (very British though) and the windows can't open separately. That does not stop you from sleeping well, it is very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is OK, but putting an extra charge for eggs benedict? Sorry, then the overnight price should be reduced. Conference room facilities are OK, even if a bit yesteryear, the service there very good. If that had been matched with equal service at dinner, a bit of knowledge on wine - I'd be happy to award 5 stars. But from a hotel like this I do expect better trained people. Some of the staff were really great, but it does lack consistency.

Hogarths were superb when hosting our wedding on 1/7/22. They couldn't do enough to help with Ellie, Nick, and the team supporting our every step and making sure everything went to plan. All of guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we had the best day of our lives. Can't wait to return soon!

I went to Hogarths last night to go to a charity ball for Signpost Inclusion. I just want to say that the staff working behind the bar were lovely! In particular I would like to mention Bobby and Ben, they were both fantastic and are great at their job. They were so polite and had great customer care. They were both great at remembering my order which made ordering at the bar so much easier, especially when you are buying a lot of drinks for different people. They are an asset to your team! I would really appreciate it if you could let them know how fantastic I thought they were that would be great!

Beautiful.....stunning!!!! Attendance for a wedding. Only criticism would be to make more accessible outside for wheelchair users and also don't forget the steps to enter the dining area will also need a ramp. Oh and also when you do not know where you are going....I find a simple sign post or direction brilliant in finding your way around rather than having to rely on the able bodied guests to take you the wrong way . Everyone seemed to have a lovely time, servers were attentive and smiled constantly 😊 x

Restaurant overlooks well kept grounds. An excellent backdrop to a delicious meal. My wife's fish was well cooked and presented. My duck was likewise well cooked but I found the components a little disparate and there was a lack of texture

Attended a beautiful garden wedding here, The grounds are so pretty the little wedding "island" with the bridges leading to it was super cute and brilliantly shaded considering the heat!! The staff were amazing super attentive and couldn't do enough. The whole 3 courses of the meal was fantastic the rooms were gorgeous and the air con was out of this world 😂

  • 4/5 Cam W. 1 year ago on Google
Personally we had a lovely experience with rooms being clean and well presented. The dining experience was a little less impressive with poor waiting service potentially due to us sitting outside? Which shouldn't make a difference. The food was very well presented but sadly the Lamb burger was served pretty much raw. The positive was this was swiftly rectified and removed from our final bill. The grounds itself presented well but could do with some TLC and vision. Would I stay again ? Yes 👍 .

I captured a corporate event here recently and I was overwhelmed how beautiful this venue is. I heard a lot about this hotel in the past but not had the chance to visit. I will definitely be visiting it more often and tell everyone I know about it. The grounds are kept clean and tidy and it’s easy to find your way round. Plenty of on-site parking and no need to pay or enter your reg number at reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful they were also well presented and looked smart in there uniforms. The event I was at the staff worked effortlessly to make it flow and all food and drink was well presented and on time. The quality of the food was also exceptional. Everything was made in house even the cakes and pastries. I would highly recommend this venue for a corporate event or for a over night stay. They also have a really nice private dining area that can seat 22 people. Big shout out to Ellie Beattie and the rest of the team for really going above and beyond.
