So
we
had
a
wedding
here
which
was
beautiful.
Stayed
over
the
night
before
and
made
the
mistake
of
ordering
a
very
expensive
fish
and
chips.
The
fish
was
burnt.
You
can
even
see
this
on
the
image
provided.
That
batter
is
not
golden
brown,
and
you
could
taste
the
carbon,
especially
near
the
tail
end
of
the
fish.
When
this
was
raised,
the
attendant
essentially
told
us
we
were
wrong
and
brought
the
food
back,
stating
that's
how
the
dish
was
made.
Now
I've
had
many
fish
and
chips
and
I
can
guarantee
it
was
burnt.
After
such
disrespect,
it
escalated,
and
we
were
told
that
burnt
fish
was
the
'Hogarths
standard'.
Shocking.
A
takeaway
fish
and
chips
has
better
quality
than
a
so-called
fine
dining
restaurant?
Moving
on,
the
room
I
had
was
pretty
shocking,
room
'April'.
The
windows,
in
particular,
were
falling
apart.
The
overall
room
was
quite
small
considering
how
much
it
cost.
The
TV
wasn't
a
smart
TV
and
was
quite
small.
It's
2023
people.
It's
not
worth
the
price
considering
my
now
wife
has
a
much
better
room
for
the
exact
same
price.
Something
to
consider
when
booking.
Moving
on,
the
wedding
buffet
seemed
to
have
been
packed
away
before
some
guests
had
a
chance
to
grab
some.
The
guests
made
so
to
let
us
know
which
soured
our
evening
a
little
bit.
All
that
food
was
paid
for,
quite
a
lot
of
guests
didn't
show
up,
so
there
should've
been
a
lot
of
leftover
food.
We
weren't
offered
the
remaining
to
take
with
us
(both
the
wedding
breakfast
and
the
buffet).
Seems
a
bit
cheeky.
Overall,
some
staff
members
were
perfect,
helpful,
and
really
made
us
feel
welcomed
and
important.
Whilst
a
few
made
us
feel
stupid
and
unheard
(regarding
the
fish
complaint).
The
room
I
had
seemed
unfair
compared
to
the
same
price
my
then
fiance
had.
I
gave
3
stars
for
the
room
rating
as
the
lux
suite
we
stayed
in
on
the
night
of
the
wedding
was
much
better,
albeit
a
bit
chilly.
We
also
struggled
to
get
our
cake
stand
back
and
nearly
lost
our
deposit
on
it.
That's
a
whole
other
story.
