We
have
just
come
back
from
a
Birthday
spa
day
at
Beechdown
and
overall
had
a
lovely
day,
but
we
did
have
a
few
small
gripes.
Let’s
start
with
the
positives!
*
Lovely
staff
who
treated
us
warmly
from
start
to
finish
and
made
us
feel
very
welcome,
particularly
in
reception
and
the
Brasserie!
*
Lots
of
great
spa
facilities
to
pick
from
including
2
saunas,
2
steam
rooms,
igloo
and
large
pool.
Very
clean
and
well
maintained
facilities
-
we
really
enjoyed
them
all!
I
think
the
hot
tub
was
my
favourite!
We
loved
the
heated
sun
beds
and
wished
there
were
more
though.
*
Delicious
food
in
the
Brasserie
that
we
could
pre-order
and
lots
of
options
to
choose
from!
They
also
reserved
us
a
table,
at
a
time
of
our
choice,
so
we
could
sit
down
straight
away
despite
it
being
really
busy.
Now
a
few
small
gripes….
*
The
Brasserie
is
more
like
a
sports
bar
and
definitely
doesn’t
feel
“zen”!
We
knew
the
facilities
would
be
used
by
gym
members,
but
we
were
sat
beside
a
girl
who
was
having
a
Zoom
meeting,
which
was
very
loud
and
distracting.
Definitely
not
a
typical
spa
lunch
and
we
got
changed
back
out
of
our
robes
because
it
was
very
intimidating
to
walk
into
a
room
packed
with
remote
workers
and
gym
members
when
wearing
a
dressing
gown!
Perhaps
a
spa
only
section
in
the
Brasserie
would
help
this.
*
We
planned
to
spend
the
afternoon
by
the
pool
and
it
started
off
a
bit
chaotic.
A
man
had
brought
in
a
baby
(Outside
of
family
hour)
and
after
some
time,
the
receptionist
came
in
to
tell
him
he
needed
leave.
This
did
not
go
down
well
and
caused
quite
the
argument,
and
he
ended
up
being
quite
verbally
abusive
to
another
spa-goer!
Not
the
spas
fault
at
all,
but
pretty
disruptive.
*
The
main
downfall
of
our
visit
was
the
loud
aqua
aerobics
class
that
took
place
in
the
pool
that
no
one
had
made
us
aware
of.
We
were
very
surprised
we
weren’t
told
about
this,
given
it
had
loud
music
and
took
up
the
whole
of
the
pool,
and
we
ended
up
going
home,
after
not
having
a
chance
to
swim.
Overall
we
had
a
good
day
and
enjoyed
the
facilities
on
offer
and
were
made
to
feel
very
welcome;
but
would
probably
go
to
another
spa
if
we
wanted
a
full,
relaxing
spa
day,
rather
than
a
gym
with
spa
facilities
attached.
