😠 Absolutely shocking - always waiting 15 mins plus to be served and then even longer for prescription. Many times they ‘couldn’t find the prescription’. Only reason I came here was because it was the late hours pharmacy but they have now gone to the other extreme and are rarely open now. Closed most... People often mention prescription, pharmacy, staff, waiting, wait, closed, told, times, time, mins,

Can never get through on phone, always engaged. Can never get a straight answer and takes ages to do a prescription even if requested urgent. Never call back even though they promise to call. Avoid if possible

No staff, terrible place to go. You queue with about 6 others, hardly the safest thing at present, after 30 minutes of waiting they want you to wait 20 minutes for your prescription to be made up. Where do I wait when I’ve walked and the queue takes up half the shop. Should it really take nearly an hour to collect a prescription from a pharmacy, surely they should be made up just to handover? I don’t blame the staff, I think Lloyds are trying to run it into closing. Now already closed most of the weekend. I will be going elsewhere!

Only reason I came here was because it was the late hours pharmacy but they have now gone to the other extreme and are rarely open now. Closed most of the weekends and I’m sat outside now with a notice in the door saying no pharmacist so closed until Monday. Absolutely pointless them being there.

I was sent here on a Sunday by NHS 111 for an urgent prescription. Allegedly open until 9pm but actually closed all day. Then to add insult to injury, NHS 111 sent me to Cohen's chemist by Basingstoke station and that also turned out to be unexpectedly closed. Grrr.

What a shocking Pharmacy. Had to wait ages for someone to come to the counter, explained that 111 had told me to go there to be seen. I explained a pharmacist had already seen a picture of the issue and advised there was infection. I was told by the woman in the pharmacy that it wasn’t infected and in fact ‘healing’ from a wound. (I have no knowledge of any wound) Despite fluid coming from the infected area in the last 48 hours. The lady then tried to sell me ‘off the shelf’ items so I left. Having spoken to a GP following the visit to Lloyds, they confirmed it was infected and I needed antibiotics.

After years of going to this Pharmacy, previously the Night Owl who were excellent, it beggars belief what Chineham are left with now. I’ve now taken the decision to go elsewhere for my prescriptions. The last straw was being told my doctor hadn’t sent prescription over. Personally visited surgery and receptionist raised her eyebrows when I repeated what I was told, heard it all before no doubt, half hour later pharmacy mysteriously found my prescription. The same day they also said they had requested repeat prescription for medication I was picking up for family member but surgery hadn’t sent through. Phoned that surgery and they said Lloyds definitely hadn’t ordered. Not the first time this has happened and over hearing other members of public in the shop, happens on a frequent basis. Also on a few occasions driven over to Chineham to see notice on door that they are closed, without notice. I won’t be going back.

Had used this Pharmacy since we moved to Chineham more than 35 years ago when it was Night Owl. Over the last 2-3years the service deteriorated to such an appalling level that I transferred to Boots at Chineham, who are excellent. The final straw for me was when my husband went to collect my prescription ,which had taken ONE WEEK for them to fill, and was told to come back in a few minutes for it. When he returned the assistant told him I had just been in to collect it !! It turned out that they had given MY prescription to someone else but they didnt know who !!! I phoned the surgery to warn them that someone had my drugs and could be unaware. This was SO dangerous ! Dreadful place. Use it at your peril !!

Shocking waiting times, rude staff that lie to your face. An absolutely shambolic chemists, can't even have a prescription ready after waiting seven days. My partner just had to wait 45 mins for severely disabled daughters medicine after being told yesterday to come back after 4, none of it ready after a 7 day wait, shocking. My advice if you value your sanity go elsewhere. Needs shutting down.

Once this used to be one of the best & most consistently reliable small chemists in the area (opening late until 9pm 7 days a week) but, with the demise of Lloyd’s pharmacy this chemist is one to avoid as it’s just going through a takeover to another owner, hence, nothing on the shelves etc as at November 2023. Shame

Lloyds Pharmacy used to be very good. Open to 9pm 7 days a week, served very quickly. Now the opening hours have been drastically cut, the waiting times are longer. I have turned up a few times and it has closed early due to not having a pharmacist. I have had to call 111 to get an emergency prescription at another chemist, as my prescriptions are sent there by my gp surgery! Not anymore though, can’t risk them closing unexpectedly!

A man had an accident outside, no one in the pharmacy checked if he was OK nor did they offer any first aid or assistance Lady asked if they could make him a drink for shock and the lady behind counter said no because of covid and to go next door and buy one...disgusting If you need help or first aid don't bother coming here, that goes the same for a prescription.

Shockingly slow and do not tell you if they haven't got something until you go to get it. However if something is urgent so you call to see if they have it / if is ready (try to so that am not waiting around holding up the queue because of only a few people in at a time because of covid) they huff and puff and tell you that you shouldn't be chasing as they are very busy (was done by my gp as an urgent prescription) and some of their staff (not all some are amazing) will tell you how much of a pain you are being, have no consideration for any factors such as anxiety (prescription was even for meds for this) as to why you may wish to confirm is all ok. Are down right rude and obnoxious over the phone even when being spoken to politely and just add to the feeling that if you try to get help because you cannot deal with stress / anxiety / other mental health issues, or physical ones have actually had the same issue, that you should be grateful they are doing your prescription and that you have no right to ask questions or to say it is urgent even if is for acute illness. Having dealt with them today I will not be going back as I have the right to be spoken to civilly and professionally. If you do go there also check your prescription as have had them issue something that wasn't what was prescribed and wasn't what they had printed on the label either. Again I was inconveniencing them when I phoned to get this sorted as my Dr had prescribed capsules, they printed on the label capsules, and prescribed tablets which I cannot take - hence was prescribed capsules in the first place!!! no faith in them at all

Very friendly, helpful, most of the time very reliable. Weekend staff need a little more training, to keep the standards up. But otherwise good.

Waited for 20 mins without being served then waited 15 mins to get my prescription there were 3 staff members working at the time whilst waiting I could hear them arranging days off. There was one person ahead of me and two tills they could have served us both safely. This is not the first time I have waited so long to be served. Really disappointed.

Would love to give 0 but I can't. Extraordinarily long waiting times and even when just paying for over the counter items can take a few minutes to get someone to serve you. Also will just randomly close and change opening hours on a whim. Only 1 member of staff is any good. Stay away if you have any other choice.

Everytime is something wrong - they ‘couldn’t find the prescription’.at least 7-10 times in the past 4 years.I was going back and forwards to find out prescription are there each time. ITS JUST SHOCKING SERVICE from the chemistry that is dealing with life treating medication!

Absolutely terrible service again at this Pharmacy. They had 3 months to obtain important life supporting drugs and instead of bothering to contact me or my GP surgery saying they could not supply they decided to just ignore me and when I finally chased them days before I was about to run out I was told that it’s not their problem! What a bunch of clowns - Good job Boots Chineham had stock

As others have commented, prescriptions are never ready and they can never seem to locate on their system. On average, expect to spend around 30 minutes in here. Really poor service for people who rely on daily medications. They also seem unable to work in collaboration with Lloyd's Direct.

I had a vaccination booked in advance. Upon arrival I was greeted and seen promptly by a lovely young lady, who was friendly and professional. (The vaccination she gave me was even painless!) Credit to the pharmacy.

Wouldn't identify a pill even though the pharmacy lady was blatantly lieing about not knowing about id stamps on pills truly shocking

A lottery on whether they will have your prescription ready, or lately be open. Staff turnover would appear to be a ke factor in level of service

Two years in a row I have booked a flu vaccination and both times they have cancelled and not given a reason why. If you can't fulfil appointments, do not let people book them in the first place.

Went to this pharmacy as it is the Emergency pharmacy for the area on a Sunday at 1800 hrs. It was Closed due to staff issues. Surely, being the EMERGENCY PHARMACY they have to remain open???? Now have to wait

Convenient and well staffed store with long opening hours. However isn’t always well stocked. But if they are missing something or you need advice the staff are very helpful and caring.

So slow. Every time I've been there's a 20 minute wait for the prescription, plus a wait to be served.
