Huge shop with a massive range of supplies and tools etc for an equally huge range of crafting activities. It was interesting to see the range of digital tools now available for printing and cutting. Easy access on the south side of Basingstoke, not too far from the M3.

Having recently had a series of lessons in cake decorating, making sugar paste flowers etc, I needed to purchase a lot supplies in order to continue at home. I went to Hobbycraft as I assumed this would be the place to go with a very long list and left completely disappointed with a block of modelling paste and a pot of blue colour powder. Unable to find the equipment needed such as roll out boards, large non stick rolling pin, polystyrene cake dummy and 2cm polystyrene balls for making buds. Florist wire were available but only 1 size, plus many other items I needed that were not available . Ended up buying everything online from other retailers. A completely wasted journey

Excellent time at Hobby craft Basingstoke today. Attended a Die-cutting workshop run by a very friendly, helpful and talented lady. Great range of resources available. Also finished birthday cards to take home. Lovely group with tea and coffee available. Great way to spend 2 hours on a Saturday morning at a very reasonable price. Will definitely look out for more workshops. Thank you.

Went here for a lunchtime workshop between work meetings. Workshops are held upstairs at the back in a nice peaceful spot. The lady running the workshop was lovely and made the wreath alongside giving instructions and tips as we progressed. Really pleased with my wreath and I picked up some extra ribbon after the workshop to customise a bit more at home. Staff here are always so helpful and happy to give advice on projects, so many of them are passionate crafters.

Clean Store, Friendly Staff, Good parking. I did notice that some of the prices are insanely inflated, (Example - A sublimation mug readily available from online vendors at £1.20 was being sold for £3.50). My only Negative feedback relates to the spacing between the aisles - some of the more popular aisles (I.E Christmas) could benefit from being made wider to accommodate the increased foot traffic, whereas the less popular aisles (I.E paper) could be made narrower.

Lovely staff. Helped us with obscure questions. Be careful about the clearance section as we found not everything in the section was in clearance.

There is plenty of variety for pretty much any crafting based hobby you can think of. And they are dog friendly as well. I take my dogs in there all the time, and they're always welcomed with a smile.

Brilliant. Bright clean store. Well laid out, excellent polite staff. Helpful when I couldn't find items. The staff had made loads of amazing knitted , craft and crochet items that were around shop in lotss of places and a great inspiration to crofters. Is lovely to see staff hands on and that clearly enjoy their work. Highly recommend this store. Some amazing black Friday deals too,

Hobbycraft was my go-to store for Really Useful Boxes but they have recently replaced them with some much lesser "whitefurze" alternative. No thanks.

Looking for Christmas inspiration. Found this soldier at the door and also a photo of my version.

This place created the unanticipated memory of my smelly camel dying. Why my Dromedary died under the rissotto which I decapitated fully. I prawned enthusiastically over myself. The only moistness came from crusty jugglers. Help me. Please. Quick.

Had a decent choice of the model paints I was after, they didn't have the particular colour the model recommended but I was able to get a near enough alternative without having to go online.

I have 2 members of my family that are bonkers about arts and crafts, talk about kids in a candy shop, heads on swivels and let's go, yes they have so much in the store, so I am having a wander and I got called, there is an aisle that will interest you here, so I go to the aisle and yes, model kits, paints, glue etc, that's my jam. So after a quick scan and mental notes, we decided to look for what we originally came in for and sought advice on where we would find it, we were told they are upstairs, I am using a walking frame as the old pins are not as good as they were, and the person we asked quickly said there is a lift in the far corner you are welcome to use, which I thought was great. After getting what we came for,and extras, I went back to the model aisle and spent more money. The staff were very helpful the amount of stuff in there is immense and I have now some ideas for Christmas. Thanks Hobbycraft, my credit card will be going see through shortly.

Outstanding food at reasonable prices and exceptional service. The waterfront can be seen from indoors but better outside. I would recommend it to anyone.

Shop interior felt a little bit dark to me, but if they're trying to reduce their carbon footprint with dimmer lights then I'm all for it. Well stocked and presented with helpful staff and altogether a clean and safe environment to obtain crafting materials from .

It's a dangerous shop for me as I would spend more then I have. But always find what I am after.

  • 2/5 Tom E. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely staff, however ID’d me to collect some helium which I had not brought out with me today as I was not advised to. Now have to drive 40 min round trip, home and back, to collect again. I understand implications on the team if caught handing over age restricted items to underage people. I am 21 years of age. I am just frustrated I now have to spend a lot on fuel to go home and back. 2* from me
