The service was amazing throughout the entire experience. Don’t even get me started on the food tho, If they don’t have this stuff in heaven i’m not going. everything about this place is great, the food, the service and the atmosphere! 5 stars, i will be back

New to the area and was recommended to come here. Small shop, but clean and friendly staff. I got the shrimp tacos with Mexican rice. The food is amazing. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because they don't serve alcohol.

Unique place, delicious food and knowledgeable stuff. Our server was super nice and friendly. Recommended what to get. My husband got tacos with dip and really liked them. We were served really fast. A portion of guacamole was huge! The whole atmosphere there is really interesting!

This is a very simple place. It's not going to wow! You like other big joints, but the food is where this place shine. You get a good amount of food for the price. Overall, I love the dish and the server is polite. Recommend this for a 1st date, or just to hangout with the friends. Cheers!

Very delicious. I went here today for the first time and enjoyed my lunch very much. I had 3 Texas tacos with ground beef and rice and beans. I also got the lime and chicken soup which was fantastic. I'm so happy I stopped in today and will surely go back again.

When I asked a local about spots to check out, and mentioned I was looking here.. the gentleman said without hesitation, “lock it in!” I’m glad I listened, and you should too! The food was delicious, and came out quickly with large servings. The guacamole was super fresh, and my tacos were very tasty. I am already looking forward to going back + has an outdoor area to enjoy during nice weather. But the real reason for my review (I don’t write them often), is that I left a couple of belongings behind and the staff could not have been nicer/ helpful in getting it back to me. Some of the items were needed quickly on my side, and they got it sent out (priority express mail) to me asap! I really can’t thank them enough, and as I said, the food and service - both the lady who took my order, and the one who served us - were so nice.. and this was before them going above and beyond to help me out 🙏🏼

Delicious Mexican food and really friendly and nice people. I love their Chicken and Lime soup, crispy chicken wings, tacos and that fluffy Mexican rice. Their homemade Agua Frecas are a must try. Really clean and vibrant decor. Must visit if you like Mexican food in Poughkeepsie!

The food was excellent, the nachos were the best thing we’ve had in a long time. The service was also friendly and fast. Recommend it!

I had the Al Pastor Mexican Taco, Mango Drink, and Churros for dessert. It was all good and at a reasonable price. My wife had the Chicken Mexican Taco which she didn't like as much. Overall, she though the ingredients could have been fresher and more flavorful. However, if you are in a pinch for Mexican food this place should do the trick.

I really love Azteca! Gem in the heart of Poughkeepsie. I’m surprised it isn’t busier because I love the bright decor and the outside patio. It seems busier for takeout but we’ve enjoyed both. The food is delcious, well seasoned and always fresh tasting ingredients. Portion size is just right for entrees. That being said, the guacamole is super superrrr small for $13 so I’d skip that app. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options which I appreciate! Fresh juices and horchata are sooo much yum and a must try. We’ve also gotten to enjoy the churros, plantains and tres leches- all very delicious. It does feel like a family vibe in there, and we always feel well taken care of. The prices are on the higher side in my opinion but we keep going back bevause the quality is there! 100% worth a stop!

Delicious carne asada tacos and shrimp tostadas! Our meals were out within 5 minutes of ordering which was awesome.

Went here for a graduation party, the enchiladas sauce was amazing! This place is deff worth a stop. Guacamole was delicious and so fresh. They had a hibiscus tea that the kids and adults loved. The staff is super friendly with big smiles. Great cantina!

It is often hard to find Birria tacos in Poughkeepsie. My boyfriend loved them from here! Very friendly atmosphere! I love it here. The food was great. Amazing customer service. Would definitely recommend to anyone who truly loves authentic mexican cuisine.

While going for Hudson Walkway found this place for lunch. It has parking facilities. Location: near Hudson Walkway, on the street, at the signal. Easy to find. Food: was hot but not good or tasty. Can see rice was old and not Mexican rice it was different rice. Also, food was not asked per pricing. Service: was quick, but no waitress just one person. Seating: 6-10 tables, indoor and outdoor seating available. A lot of windows and good lighting. A lot of drink options.

Stopped here waiting for a train- lovely and lively little spot offering dine-in amd take-out options! Food was great and not too expensive. Soup was a very generous portion.

The vegetarian options are amazing! Try the spinach & mushroom filling! The steak & milaneza tortas are outstanding too. This establishment has been up and running beautifully for over 10+ years. It keeps my family & friends coming. Chain businesses could never compare to this clean, loving business.

Delicious! Had the tlayuda and mole con pollo - they were great and very generous portions. Lovely outdoor seating in the side garden. They have homemade cakes and drinks, will try that next time!

Welcoming ambiance. Love their simple decor. This taqueria is clean and serves really good food. We had tacos but their menu has a nice variety of Mexican dishes. I had chorizo tacos, a bit greasier than usual but tasty. Carnitas we’re good too. A little more salt to my taste but it was still good. Stop by!!

No flavor in the tacos. The portion is good. The aguas frescas are tasty. They don’t let you choose from different tacos flavors which is odd. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant before where my three tacos have to be of the same kind. $12 for three tacos is how much I pay for in the city so in Poughkeepsie it seems expensive. The outdoor patio is cute. Service was good too.

We're visiting from out of town and decided to try this place based on the reviews. We were underwhelmed to say the least. As others have mentioned the servers and staff were welcoming and overall quite friendly. We tried the Al pastor and chorizo tacos served with lime, green onions, and radish. Adding green picante and lime reminded us of what we expect from quality traditional Mexican tacos. As a foodie I would recommend others like me to try other alternatives first.
