I do not recommend Acropolis Diner. At least not anymore. I have attended occasionally since approximately 2015 8 years. There is a reason why I do not recommend Acropolis Diner. On Tuesday October 24th, 2023, at approximately 18:30 Hours or 6:30 PM I entered the Acropolis Diner. I needed to finish some paper work, and at the same time order some food. I did not want to order a large mean like I usually do, because I had a schedule to maintain. The waitress gave me the menu, while I was doing my paper work. I finished my paper and began to look at the menu. Then I began to attempt to order. I asked the waitress questions, but she was doing other tasks. She was also far way. Finally after approximately 20 minutes not being attended by the waitress. I decided to leave. Then this man came out to to kitchen, and went behind the counter where the Cash Out Register and Cash Machine is located. The man asked me, "why are you leaving". We began to communicate in English then in Spanish, because I' am fluent in Spanish, and I drew the preconceived conclusion based on his racial characteristics and foreign accent that he is fluent in Spanish. I told him in Spanish, "I received no service from the waitress, and I had to leave. I can come tomorrow." He said, "you come here to consume for free." I told him, "the only thing I consumed was the water. I like to think that is for free LMAO!" I told him, I have been coming here for approximately since 2015 8 years. I know the owner Zahariadis Hristos, and spoke to him a few times." Then he claimed, "I' am the new owner." I looked with surprised. I told him, "I did not know that." He said, why are you surprised. I I said, "I not surprised but I thought he was the owner. Then he requested to communicate in English and we began to converse in English. He got offended that I did not know he was the owner, and that he felt I was surprised. Then asked me to leave. Then we got into a brief argument. I admit I cursed at both the owner and waitress. I was very upset, by the way I was treated. In conclusion I speculate he asked me to leave because of a ulterior motive. That motive was racial. I' am Caucasian of Spanish descent from Spain in Europe. He realized that immediately. In addition I spoke Spanish to him. He got offended because I thought he did not speak English. Also he got offended because I did not know he is the new owner, and he thought I was surprised to know that. People's behavior is sometimes influenced by subconscious motives. I' am very proud of my race and ethnicity. That does not mean I' am prejudiced toward any race or ethnicity. I respect all races and ethnicities. That was not my motive. That was his motive. It was actually his motive. He is racially prejudice. His actions and statements revealed his motives. His actions and statements was a reflection of his racial prejudice. His attitude was presumptuous and unprofessional. I attended the Diner occasionally since 2015 8 years. He lost a good customer. My conclusion is not directed toward the other hard working employees at the Acropolis Diner. I speculate he is racially prejudice toward Caucasians. Especially those who are Spanish from Spain, or descendant of Spain like myself. I' am a United States military veteran. I never was treated the way I was treated that night in the Diner. I do not recommend Acropolis Diner.

Been going here for over 10 years now. This place has unfortunately gone way down hill. I paid $37 for chicken fingers and a salad that looked like a frozen microwaved meal prepared by a 9 year old. Never going here again

We want to love this place, its so close but the restaurant looks old add dirty. We started only take out. The food is the cheapest quality possible. The turkey has air bubbles in it now so that not fresh made anymore - everything this place was is no longer. Strawberry cheesecake so old the strawberries were dried like a leathery fruit roll up. Avoid let it fail and maybe something good and clean will come in.

I’m very disappointed I came here a couple times and the food was great. I went Friday 13,2023 at 11:00am. I took my wife out for lunch and we order mozzarella sticks and it was cold the cheese was cold. We got them again and it was warm. I was very upset. Then they brought our other food which was a burger and a wrap and it wasn’t good it tasted funny and it was cold. I would’ve thought when I told them about the mozzarella sticks they would’ve not charged me but they did. I will not be coming back. If this is how you serve your customers I don’t want part of it. Not spending a dime here ever again. 0-10 rate for me.

Wow! This is what a classic diner is all about! Great food, great ambience and even better service. This place offers super affordable breakfast and dinner options and has early morning hours for early birds like myself. You can rely on classics and also get some Greek, Italian and Mexican options as well. What makes it even better is that the diner is family run - love supporting local businesses! This is definitely becoming a staple in my weekly routine. Also! I love the mini jukeboxes on the tables - such a cool vibe!

Very nice Diner 24 hours. Wide variety of items on the menu they have a very nice dessert bar with lots of cakes. Breakfast was amazing was the only meal we had here wife and I both enjoyed it if you're in the area be sure to check them out they're always open. Keep up the great work excellent service four thumbs up five stars

Excellent food very fresh! I have been very disappointed with all our other local dinners lately and nearly forgot about acropolis (moved away for a few years) they are by far the best diner in town great food great people I go nearly every morning. I would have given 5 stars for atmosphere but one of their longest working servers tends to walk around causing problems with the other servers and complaining about the owners right in front of customers and it makes me uncomfortable. Everyone else is happy and great at their jobs and love the owners. I can't hate this place for one person everything else about the restaurant is amazing I hope they do something about this server soon

Food was good, and the staff were all very nice. The diner was clean with the exception of the women's restroom. Looks like they had a leak that has not been repaired. As for the food, it was good. I had the montecristo which I enjoyed, good when you can't decide if you want breakfast or lunch.

Great place to have a bite to eat early in the morning while most places that serve breakfast are closed. The food is made fresh to order, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and the layout was noticeably clean, which is always a plus...

Food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Only 2 tables occupied which I thought was unusual. Specials looked interesting and different. Being so empty made it echo and you could hear the other conversations. No music or TV. Good food but pricey.

Was getting my car work done down the road so I figured I'd go for a walk and I stumbled upon the diner that I have driven by several times. The server Monica was amazing and the food came out so fast and everything was hot and fresh and delicious and well plated.

I ordered challah french toast, and although it was tasty, it was under cooked a bit and mushy in the middle. The server was attentive, and the establishment was clean. My boyfriend ordered an omelet and it was cooked just right.

It was kinda empty at 8 pm, not much customers. I was worry about the food when I step in. The waitress was very nice. And the food is not bad.

Went for a Saturday mid-travel day lunch. It was delicious! Had gyro and FF with Greek salad. Enough food for 2, maybe 3 meals. The meat was delicious!!! Best I’ve had in YEARs!!!!! Some come just for the fries! The staff was really sweet and engaging all around the tables. Don’t miss this one folks. I hear the milkshakes are Devine tooo!!! 2023 you have to be discerning whatever you look for!!

I just went out for coffee, so cannot really comment on the food. The waitress was extremely attentive and tried her best to give good customer service. Everyone that was eating seemed to enjoy their meal.

We showed up with 9 people and they accommodated us right away. The waitress Corrine was very good. My pastrami was no good. It tasted old. The fries were mushy and cold. My company all enjoyed their meals.

Everything was nice food was good came out at a reasonable time service was great waitress paid the right amount of attention to us when we asked for something she brought it right away. Food was good it was a nice amount with the money. Will definitely go there again

I love their buffalo chicken tenders especially. Nachos are go to As well. Very nice customer service.

The food is great here. Cleanliness not so much. There was a lipstick stain on my coffee mug. It was easily removed when I wiped it with my finger. Makes me wonder how they clean their dishes.

This is a classic joint with excellent food and cooks. The food I ordered was done perfectly and the quantity was plenty. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to eat a great meal at a classy location. Thank you guys for the hospitality and the cooks in the back for making a excellent meal. I am definitely a customer and I will be back. Mucha gracias amigos!

The food was way overpriced and mediocre at best. I got the matzoh ball soup, which was somehow both too hot and too cold at the same time. Tasted like broth from a can. $6.99 for a bowl that may as well have been a plate ??? They didn’t even bother opening the caesar salad dressing packet in the kitchen and mixing it in to make it look like it could be homemade (honesty I guess?). Omelette was also super overcooked. I didn’t want to complain because our waitress was sweet, and she was the only waitress at the time we were there, but I was also served my drink in a broken glass with a crack down the side. Yikes.

Excellent service, plate great and you can select a lot of plate price cheap.

Food is consistently good, solid diner food! All staff are very courteous and helpful. They are always nice when I bring my toddler in for a quick bite. Place is clean and comfortable. Ample parking, wheelchair accessible.

At lesst they try. My associate and I visit 2 eat-in places each week. The diners don't do well because they process people instead of food. We haven't found even one that is excellent. It's difficult to come up with a poorly served bagel and coffee. The Acropolis manages to do this. It's the bagel, the coffee is not bad,

Massive.menu. Really good Greek food. Shockingly great salads and really friendly people.

Cheeseburger Deluxe was on point. Very juicy and tasty. French onion soup was really good. Excellent service with a family atmosphere. 💯 Recommend it

I imagine a place that is open 24 hours is going to be very difficult to maintain! I hope one day they can give it the love it deserves as this place has a lot of interesting history. The staff is wonderful and the food good. I can't wholly recommend it because it is in such disrepair that even if it is clean, it doesn't feel clean. For example booth seats are ripped up, carpet is grubby looking and bathrooms are falling apart.

Terrible customer service. I've been coming to this Diner since I was kid. I've seen it turn hands to many different owners. The current owner simply does not care about providing good customer service. Everytime I order something I always have to double check because it's always wrong. Some times I order Buffalo chicken wraps and they forget the blue cheese, or I get broiled scrod and they forget the home fries. It's always something. Today I went here and ordered the jumbo shrimp salad, French onion soup and dinner rolls. Instead of dinner rolls, they gave me big bagel rolls which shouldn't be an issue to swap. When I bring it to the Manger/Owner's attention he tells me I "I always have complaints?" That would be funny had it been true. Typically if you pay for certain items, you usually want what you pay for. It's alright after this, me, my family and immediate circle will avoid this establishment. The owner doesn't care and you see it in the lack of patrons at the diner. Is the food good, sure? But to deal with this, you have far more better options without the hassle.

Diner fanatic here- it’s what you want. 100% on all counts, from the vibe to the fluffiness of the pancakes. Highly recommend and will return
