Nice site, very family orientated. Owners very accommodating and loved the fact we could have a log fire. I would say the toilets & shower blocks could do with some modernisation, still keep it off grid but a few improvements here and there. I.e solid floors maybe, or paint the sheds inside with bright colours spruce it up a bit.

Fab, eco campsite. Relaxed camping in a meadow full of wild flowers. Kate and Stig are lovely and friendly and have developed an amazing eco campsite, which we will definitely be returning to. Composting loos and solar thermal showers are housed in 'beach hut' style huts. The showers are amazing, water pressure is brilliant, water temperature is great, has a seat/shelf, hooks a plenty to keep clothes, etc. dry whilst showering. For those unused to composting loos, don't be afraid. They do not smell as long as you follow the guidelines, i.e., close the lid when done, etc. Fires allowed in the fire pits on each pitch, wood, and kindling available on site, Stig will deliver it to your tent in an evening. Covered outdoors wash up area with hot water. If it's wet, there is a great indoor seating area with a woodburner. This area also has a fridge and freezer and double gas burner, which they request a donation for using. Plugs for charging phones, etc. Lovely outdoors seating area with Art Shack for the children or even young at heart! Tuck shop open in a morning for your campsite essentials, the coffee is delicious. Den building, outdoors play area, pond (pond dipping equipment available), and loads of space for children to explore. Adult only pitches available away from the main area. Tips - Don't forget a torch or headtorch as once the sun goes down, it's dark, dark, no lights on site. Make sure the shower curtain is pulled before turning on the shower. As mentioned, the water pressure is brilliant!

A hugely welcoming campsite. I loved my short stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone for glamping or camping. The owners were friendly and approachable. Tent pitches are generous, and it was lovely to wake to the sound of birdsong in the hedge. The glamping pods look sweet and well set-up. Composting loos are clean and totally fine to use. On-site wheelbarrows are a thoughtful and fun addition. Thanks!
