I love this traditional British pub, just visited from the campsite opposite. A very warm welcome from the lady behind the bar. Lovely selection of ciders and beers. I wished I lived opposite

The best real 'spit & sawdust' pub in North Somerset, period! Excellent gravity beers and ciders with clever tasty grub! A charming blast from the past not to be missed if you're in the area!

One of the best pubs. Quiet, great beer garden, great refuelling stop on a bike ride. Fantastic service and tasty scotch eggs!

Lovely pub serving local beers and ciders, all very affordable and great selection. Very different to your overly commercial or chain pubs, got a real authentic feel to it. Great beer garden at the back. Lovely little gem of a pub.

Absolute magical pizza night on a Thursday . Great setting . Tasty pizza cooked in the garden under cover with wonderful lighting.

I pop in occasionally for a pint and possibly the best sausage roll in the world.. The pubs barely changed in all the years I've known it..and that's not a bad thing

Unfortunately there was o food available on the they we visited, but as an alternative they served pies and rolls. The place itself has a really nice atmosphere! The kids loved playing with dominos an watching nearby sheeps :-)

By far, the best pub in the region. Quality of beer, friendliness of owners, quality of food. 🍻🤩

Great rustic pub. Proper bar with real ale, real people & great atmosphere. If you are looking for a plastic gastro pub look elsewhere. This place is a gem.

A very welcoming pub by both other patrons and the lovely lady behind the bar. A good array of drinks and snacks (including gorgeous looking hot snacks). A couple of other families there which was nice. Can't wait to go back in the summer with their large beer garden and pizza oven.

What a cool place. I thought I had arrived at someone's home. Walking inside there are tables in what would be the living room with a small but seemingly well equipped bar with a great selection of ales and ciders. The garden is lovely but alas, no children's playing equipment. It was a tranquil garden with lots of flowers in blossom and an apple tree (June 23) It is a lovely quiet location, a few minutes from Nailsea. You can hear the noise of farm animals and the garden is a bit of a suntrap. I can certainly see myself going to this little gem of a public house again. But perhaps without the children next time. I could see there were what appeared to be home made or authentic style pies, pasties and sausage rolls for sale at the bar. But I didn't inquire about a meal menu. During my visit I didn't see anyone else having a meal, so I can only assume there is no meal option. But what a lovely place

Absolutely brilliant pub. So many country pubs have been stripped of all character by glossy renovations. Not this place! Old school scran, snacks, flat cider & cask ale. Perfect pub!

Best pub in the area by far - proper beer, great food (although could do with a bit more choice for veggies) and fabulous beer garden! Also the friendliest staff! Wish they'd open more often is the only thing :)

A more authentic country pub would be hard to find. Can be summed in in one beautiful west county word: Proper.

I've often said to people this is the best pub in the world and honestly it probably is exactly that. It's well sorted in looking after people safely but without overdoing it in this new world . Good stuff. I know it's odd posting pictures of the new Gents - but they are pretty special ! So glad it's reopened ....

Why have we not gone here sooner? It was our first visit, in the middle of our bike ride. Sun was out, the cider was amazing and the bar snacks were good. This is a really tidy little place. The staff were excellent and were so attentive. We'll definitely be back

👍👍 A great carvery made even better by lovely staff and a warm log fire. The food was lovely with a good section of veg. The beef was a bit chewy but I’m sure the staff would have let me swap it had I asked.
