Megaliths in a pub beer garden. Need I say more? ...but also gorgeous Butcombe beer, friendly staff and characterful locals. Very special pub in a very special village. Loved it.

Cute little English country pub in a magical location by the stone circles. There is a huge grassy back garden there that makes it perfect for your dog to chill while you have your roast dinner or pint overlooking the medieval church and ancient standing stones. The food was very nice accompanied by the spectacular view of a Sunset over the meadows. Ideal pit stop for country hikers as the vibe is welcoming even thou it is clearly a local pub. The entire village is like from Jane Austin' s novel with medieval village hall, Georgian cottages covered eith ivy and lots of flowers. Really amazing experience to be there!

We came on a Wednesday evening after booking earlier in the day. It's a popular little pub. We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our seats. We had steaks and the kids had burgers. The food was really good and very enjoyable. Wish we had room for dessert. Will definitely be back again soon.

Terrible service. On a walk we went into the pub for lunch to be told that they could not offer us lunch as they had two big tables coming in. So all they could offer us was a bowl of chips which we had. While we were sitting in the pub several regulars came in and had food including burgers and full meals !? We felt very unwelcome, no one came to ask if we would like tea/coffee after our chips or said goodbye or thank you to us when we left. Will not be back, lots of other alternative good eating places on our local walk routes. Very disappointing and not at all as described on the website.

Stunning food!! The Hong Kong chicken was one of the nicest starters I think I've ever had. We had burgers on burger night and they didn't disappoint - really yummy and perfectly salted crispy chips. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes. One of our party was ill unfortunately so didn't come out and the kind kitchen staff cooked a burger for us to take with us which went down a treat. All the staff were very friendly. This pub is a gem!!!

We came to see the stone circles and cove at Stanton Drew and saw this quaint pub and decided to pop in. It was steak night and it was delicious tender and flavourful, chips were lovely with mushroom tomatoe and peas, very filling, excellent service and a friendly pub. Really enjoyed it.

Very nice cosy pub with very nice food for the price the quality is very good very tasty food, we hand the belly pork which went down well with everyone the fish and chips was very and so was the steak, the starters were well presented and tasty, the only downfall the only thing that slightly mired a almost flawless meal was the fact that more than one dish was unavailable and lack of service,I think a little more attention paid to the restaurant wouldn't go a miss.

Great little countryside pub. Our 1st visit. Eric at front of the house was very helpful and enthusiastic. Nice to see someone who enjoys their job. Food was fantastic. My wife had the squid rings, which she found tender and flavourful. Mains were sticky bacon steak with egg fried rice and rib eye steak. This was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. I would also suggest booking in advance as it does get busy.

My partner and I went for a Friday night meal and a few drinks and the whole experience was lovely. The server was charming and the proper pub grub was hearty. It was a real country pub with a warm atmosphere.

A wonderful pub! Friendly staff, an incredible food! Genuinely one of the best burgers I have had a long long time at a very reasonable price! Dog friendly, while we didn't bring our lab did get to see some wonderful furry friends. If you are looking for wonderful food and a chilled local British pub I cannot recommend the druid enough!

Superb Sunday Roast! Dropped in on the off chance they could fit us in and they didn’t well. Service and food were ‘on point’ Friendly, unhurried, busy but very civilized. Surrounded by the great outdoors for walking off the wonderful meal. We will be back to this Gem in the country side.

After a long day on the road and stopping at a few places en route only to find them closed or not serving food on Mondays, we made our way to the ever-faithful Druids Arms just a mile or two from where we live. Welcomed by friendly faces we were offered a table inside but plumped for an al fresco meal in the tranquility of the raised garden overlooking meadows towards the setting sun. I had heard much about the pork belly, my lady went for the cider-battered fish and chips and fifteen minutes later both meals duly arrived, served with a smile and a chat. The fish, chips and crushed peas was beautifully done and in her words ‘absolutely amazing’. The pork belly was absolutely out of this world, lived up to every expectation and satisfied completely, the chorizo flavour bouncing marvellously off the broccoli, puréed peas and potato - I would thoroughly recommend trying it to anyone, a truly fabulous meal, well done team Druids.

We were lucky to find this place was not heaving on August BH Saturday. There is free parking and a lovely pub garden backing on to the churchyard. Nice lunch, traditional pub food, freshly cooked, well priced. Stone circle to see in the village and good walks around.

Very nice old school pub, I enjoyed a meal in their garden very much. The food was great and the staff was very, very friendly with great customer service skills. I shall try and return again, I loved the experience. Though, when we approached the pub and left - the locals (I assume they were locals) sitting in front of the pub were looking at us like as we were some aliens who just landed in their space ship. Clearly the regulars know each other there so some random passers by may get a look or two :) But it just added to the charm.
