I can't say enough about Conor O'Neill's artisan bakery. Everyone's lovely. His naturally leavened breads are heaven & his dessert pastries remind me of Old World European treats. Definitely get there early for his signature chocolate chunk salt rye cookies, lavender-lemon cookies & Swedish cardamom buns, so light & flakey & delicious. You can taste the love & time. He also supports other local artisans with an expanding selection of honey, beeswax paper, chocolate & Cairnspring Mills flours. He's a shirt-off-his-back kind of person we all need.

Conor and the team at The Cottage are amazing. We love their baked goods so much that we asked them if they would supply all of the bread, cookies, pretzels etc for our backyard wedding. They did and our guests were over the moon. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful bakery in our neighborhood!

Love all kinds of bread, pretzel knots, bagels, coffee cakes, and yes, hot cross buns that we have ever tried. How amazing! We recently moved to Edmonds, and felt so lucky to have this local bakery nearby. I am so addicted to the warm and natural wheat smell, friendly staff, homy atmosphere, and always consistent quality products!

Best bread I’ve ever had. I would recommend something specific, but everything I’ve had on the menu is incredible. Service is always kind and understanding, good vibes all around.

Seems to be a decent place to buy baked goods until you want to buy their most popular item their pretzel knots, they always seem to run out by 2pm, you would think one would figure out daily qualities by now. I mainly go there to buy pretzel knots, I spend about $45 for 6 cookies, loaf of rye bread, a few pastries and (no pretzelknots)...when im really after those delicious pretzel knots that seem to be SOLD OUT most days. Anyways check this out, I went today, 1st thing I did, was ask for pretzel knots(soccer kid, MHS) responded with a pause looking under the counter kinda oddly..no sorry we are sold out, oh ghees again I said......he says yes sorry. So I bought the usual $45 dollars worth of goods (no pretzel knots)...I was walking out loaded my bag in the truck, I decided to look in the window...guess what he was bagging up pretzle knots..lol. U GOTTA keep an eye out on those kids.

I am so pleased to have this great bakery close to our home. The breads and goodies are terrific! I've been looking for a source for good, crusty loaves since I spent time in Europe and began craving them. The only thing I have to work on is not allowing myself to over-purchase when I am there and to just begin a regular weekly visit to keep my "bread hunger" satisfied with fresh, varied purchases!

Having immigrated from northern Europe, and after 5 years of searching, the Cottage, which actually really gets what making EU-style bread is. In our opinion, while there is other good bread around north of Seattle, no other bakery in the area compares in getting a crisp crust and a flavorful, rustic bake like it's done in the bakeries of France and Switzerland. Delicious; excellently made loaves.
