Food was good! Service was great! Except the bs. on the service charge part which we knew about it when we made a resevation online. The service charge normally applies on bigger party like 6+ which is continually change over the years. Now the server had a need to tell us to read and try to understand that this 20% service charge is not for the server but the company which in turn spread around and server would get almost like nothing? So you're expecting us to pay tip 20% on top of 20% service charge 🤔. If the company really care for your employees, you should pay them out of your profit not to keep your profit and give your employees raise(extraordinary benefits) by put the burden on your customers. Don't tell me you don't have much of the profit! Your side order of Mac and cheese is $14! Come on! Stop trying to nickel and dime your customers! Increase your food prices probably better than doing this s**t.

Wow... my 1st word. An absolutely 5 star experience when it came to drinks, food and most of all service! The steak was perfect and probably beats that famous steak house in Vegas. Dessert was so good that even though I was full I ate it all. And now that I am writing this I want more. I usually don't give 5 stars lightly as you all know, and if I could complain about one thing would of been the crowded entry way... but once you got in and to your area it was private and soothing with wonderful soft music in the background. I recommend anyone visiting Seattle.. if you want the best steak in town you must go here! Make a reservation ahead of time!

Simply an amazing dining experience! The service was 5 star from the moment we walked in the doors. It's like stepping back in time with green velvet, timber and brass decor. Jazz music playing in the background. I had the Lobster Tail and my partner had the Black Hawk Strip steak. Both were amazing. My Cosmo was made with perfection also. If you want to splash out a bit and have an unforgettable meal then this is the place. Sensational.

While visiting Seattle from several states away, I was told I had to stop by Metropolitan Grill. Certainly not the cheapest meal I have had but I got to enjoy some of the best quality steak I have had. The Japanese A5 hits hard and the bone marrow was seasoned perfectly. Well worth a stop when you are feeling fancy.

Staff was very professional. The food and drinks came to the table very fast. We couldn't reserve a table because of availability for the time we were looking for. Although, we called and informed them that our 3rd person was a 7 yo and that we wanted to know if they could accommodate us. They did. For me it was not about the ribeye we shared but the history. So many old photos of Seattle, sports figures, movie stars, socialites, and famous people it is mind blowing. Check out the aged cuts of beef by the bar.

Treated myself for my birthday. Service was over the top good and the food matched. I had oysters and a porterhouse and couldn't have been happier with it.

Popular old school Seattle chop house that will not disappoint. They bring the big guns in this environment and have for many years. Some of the wait staff have been with them for over 20 years, that says a lot. Consistent and on point with a familiar menu that changes very little or at all over the years. Recommend for that great chophouse experience. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

Everything was great here but… the food. The food wasn’t bad by any means; however, it wasn’t top notch either. We went with their boneless ribeye. It’s supposedly with their proprietary dry-aged beef from eastern Washington. We weren’t impressed with it though. The staff also lowkey struggled with cutting it. The mac and cheese was very basic but that aligns with the Met’s classic upscale image. Definitely an one time thing for us. This was an expensive experience and the value just wasn’t there. I do want to give a shout-out to Lathrop for being a good server. He helped me fish my credit card that had slipped between the seat and wall.

One of the best steak I had and definitely the best I had I. Seattle. This place isn’t cheap, but it definitely is worth its price with superb service, prime quality and enjoyable atmosphere. We went there twice during a week and both times we enjoyed crab cakes, steaks, prawns and clam chowder. Add quality whiskey and wine and you have a receipt for a tasty evening!

Excellent service! Friendly and knowledgeable staff that provided great recommendations. We had a "flight" of wagyu beef which was mind blowing. Cooked to perfection and delectable. Paired with the Caesar salad and mashed potatoes.

We had a company event here, and the service was impeccable. The staff were phenomenal. I had the aged ribeye with shrimp. It was a phenomenal cut of meat, and prepared perfectly. I spoke with other coworkers who had different steaks and seafood options, and everyone raved about how good it was. I would absolutely come back.

Pros: our service was impeccable. The energy our waitress had was great and she definitely informed us of everything we needed. Good tasting fries, large selection of drinks. We came for our anniversary, and she gifted us a crème brulet. Thank you! Cons: I truly wanted this to be what everyone says. We left spending $300+ and it felt underwhelming. The filet we had was dry. $28 for two prawns wasn’t impressive to me. I hear often that this place is better than competitors, and I wanted it to be, but I left wanting more.

Old school steakhouse with world-class service. From the moment you walk in the door, you know you've entered an elevated dining experience, without the pretentious attitude. In true PNW style, all are welcome! Steaks were melt in your mouth perfection, drinks delightfully crafted and service was beyond superb!

This should have been a 5 star review I want to give a 5 star review but I like to be checked on and 15 minutes passed between when we got our food wrapped and asked for a bill and the next time we even saw our server. Another ten minutes to get a bill. Pros- amazing steak. Seriously the best cook on the best piece of red meat I’ve ever had. Great crepe brûlée. Pear martini was a delicious treat. Mid 1920s jazz age ambiance Cons- slow service. Paying tax on a 20% built in surcharge. Slow valet at the end of the night We got the bone in rib-eye dinner for 2. It was so buttery we were in heaven again the pear martini was a just sweet enough treat. J said “The Met” Manhattan was too strong- likely a result of the absinthe rinse

This is our second time here and we will definitely come back. We come here for the stake, it is one of the best I’ve tried in Seattle so far. Great service and atmosphere. FYI: The service fee is included in the bill and the server gets only 10% from it.

Came here for anniversary after found out Morton's was closed. The place has a swanky classic New York steakhouse vibe. Playing Frank Sinatra and similar. Appetizers were delicious: spicy shrimp & lobster bisque. The bisque did not have any lobster in it, which was disappointing. Porterhouse was cooked to Medium and great flavor. The sirloin side had far too many strains too my liking. The filet side was rather tiny, only 3-4 bites. The filet was undercooked and sent back. Once it came back, it was wonderful. Had a creme brulee for desert, classic. Service was excellent. Not sure we'd go back.

Walked into the 1890s classic decoration is perfect after the underground tour. Steak, asparagus and baked potato are perfect, The waiter notified us that the meat will be on the raw side so I know what to expect. Music is jazz, just enough to shield our chat from others but I can talk with my normal soft voice. Ever had their nine layer chocolate cake with dark chocolate? Right, get ready to be quilty, and happy :)

Had an excellent dinner here the other night. The filet was cooked perfectly and sauce was delicious. We also got the potato pancakes and the Mac and cheese. All were amazing and I would highly recommended. To round off the dinner we got the bananas foster. I read tons of reviews about it and it lived up to the hype. Extremely delicious! Would 100% go back to this restaurant next time I’m in Seattle.

Hands down one the best steakhouses I’ve been to. I’m particular about my steakhouses and they exceeded my expectations. I loved the fact that they offer a selection of steaks instead of sticking to one offering. Highly recommended!

Everything about The Metropolitan Grill was fantastic. Each of the employees I interacted with was wonderful and the food was of course incredible. If you're looking for a good steakhouse in Seattle, I can't recommend this one highly enough!

I ordered porterhouse steak, bone marrow, crab cake, and lobster bisque soup. The soup was really good with the bread. The steak was decent but not amazing (Maybe my expectations are kind of high after reading reviews). The service is good, but there is also a 20% mandatory service charge. Overall a good experiences, I take one star off because I think the steak could be better.

One of the Best Steak Houses in Seattle. The Food, Service, and ambiance is perfect for everything from Celebrations to just needing a great meal. Pro Tip: Save room for desert. The Apple Pie is awesome.

We had the Châteaubriand and a bottle of wine. It was fantastic! The cliff sauce that they created using the beef juice is very delicious. Great presentation, atmosphere, food, and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back to try other delicious looking dishes on their menu.

Delicious meal on our last night of vacation. Our server was great and very interactive and definitely made us feel at home. Our meals were delicious. We added the shrimp scami and crab leg to each out our meals...they were good but not worth the price IMO. Dessert(burnt cream) was outstanding. I thought it was weird that they automatically added gratuity for 2 people but whatever, made it so we didn't have to think about it.

My friends and I came here for dinner. We had the clam chowder, Caesar salad, and the Met steak. The service was amazing! The chowder was delicious! I'd definitely come back.

I absolutely LOVE the Met! This is my second time having dinner here. We had dinner for my birthday and the time before this was for our anniversary a few years ago. We had the steak bites, calamari and the longbone steak. It comes as a meal for two. We chose asparagus and mac & cheese as the sides. I had the "usual" drink which was very smooth. Make sure to do the valet which I think is $17 or $18. We had reservations and no wait time. They also do a birthday dessert as well, free of charge but I was so full I could only take a bite. I enjoyed every moment and dinner was well worth the hour long drive.
