There aren’t too many French wine bars in seattle to compare to, but it doesn’t matter. Because this one would undoubtedly rank #1. Great service, tables inside and outside (although there’s quite a wait on a Friday to get outside tables) and amazing service. The menu is confusing since it’s French but any glass would be $8-12 which is well priced for this area. We also got their regular sized charcuterie board (the smaller size) and it was more than enough for 2 people. Comes with crostini but we had to ask for more bread to finish the board. Great ambience, well priced, and felt authentic.

Love this place. Delicious nibbles and even better wine recommendations/selections. So happy this cozy place made it through the pandemic and is now thriving.

Amazing wine bar, very authentic French wine bar here in Seattle! The owner is fantastic and has a real passion for what is served and can go on for hours about the intricacies of the wine on the menu. I'd come here just to chat about french wines, even better that I get to try them! Thanks for the great journey through France!

Le Caviste is one of the few places in Seattle I love to visit over and over again. Great wine and cheese. Their oven-baked fish is fantastic, and their butter is dangerously good. The menu is written in French, but the staff answer your questions kindly. I always look forward to having a glass of wine and great conversations at Le Caviste.

overall experience was incredible! Everyone was so knowledgeable and didn’t hesitate to lend some advise or details on their selections. Charcuterie was equally incredible as the wine. A new date night spot for my girlfriend and I or a night out with some friends! Highly recommend!!

As always, it is a pleasure going to Le Caviste, always friendly service, amazing wines, and great food. It's a great place to meet friends. It can get crowded 5-8, so plan ahead. Also, if you want to enjoy the fresh air, you can get a sit outside.

Stopped by for a glass of wine with my wife to round out our evening out. I don't know a ton about French wine but the ones I've had I have enjoyed, and so I look forward to any opportunity to learn more. However, my openness about my lack of wine knowledge was met with immediate coldness and condescension from our server. She took our orders and did make suggestions we enjoyed, but after dropping off our glasses, we didn't receive any further service which only added to the off putting and unwelcome energy. I would have more to say if I had interacted with any of the staff for more than 2 minutes. It just felt disappointing seeing other people in the receiving much warmer service leaving me feel like they were upset that we wanted to check out their spot. Overall, great wine, but I left feeling disrespected as if I was intruding on someone in their home versus having just paid a good amount of money for service that was lackluster.

Super cute and romantic. Dimly lit with lots of lights and analog menu system gives this spot an old school charm that I haven't had in awhile. The house bubbly was good and the wild forged mushrooms were lovely. The servers were lovely but can get a bit busy so order when you can. Defs coming back and looking forward to it.

I missed the bistros in Paris and this place reminds me a lot of them. They have a great selection of wine and the staff is really knowledgeable about them. Their mushroom special was great. Also like their cured meats and cheese assortment

Great selection, good seasonal options, great cheeses and meats and some amazing wines as well. Reminded me of my time living in France, felt very authentic. Knowledgeable staff too.

This place is wonderful! My girlfriend and I went again last night for the second time and enjoyed some lovely French Vino. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. They can answer questions and make recommendations. For example, my gf wanted a bumble wine and tried two types. I enjoyed a nice red wine. Lara one of the servers was very kind and fun to talk too. We are already planning our trip back in a few weeks for more great wine! Oh I forgot to mention last Sunday they had a pop-up Oyster Tent, with fresh Oysters from Hood Canal

Excellent service! Good atmosphere! This place has a great variety of French wines! I ordered a dessert wine called Macvin du Jura, and it was absolutely delicious! The planche Fermier was great! I added blue cheese, and it was a great complement. I absolutely love it! The butter and the bread were super tasty. This is a great wine place in downtown Seattle.

A wonderful wine bar that seems to specialize in a French experience. There is a thoughtful selection of wine and several small food options that would pair well. The environment is cozy. While we were there everyone was talking to everyone. There is a table in the corner called "the desk" that is perfect for a more private dinning experience. A bit pricey, but understandable considering it's location and selection.

An excellent spot for some French food and wine! The energy of the wine bar is incredible- people genuinely talking with one another and enjoying the great array of wine paired with some delicious food. Great spot for a 2nd or 3rd date! Try to get a seat away from the far wall though, it’s hard to read the menu as it is up on the wall.

Lara Devon and Patrick made our experience unforgettable! Fantastic wines and the charcuterie boards were second to none! What a gem we hit on! (I was going to add photos of the food but we ate it too quickly!). Definitely recommended this place

I have been here a handful of times over the years when I have been visiting the area and have had a genuinely great experience every time. Incredible atmosphere. Friendly, helpful & welcoming staff. Really interesting & well-priced wines. Delicious small plates that are unique and also very reasonably priced. This is a true owner-operated European style bistro in every way. The place is small and cozy which is an important part of its charm. Somehow, right in the center of a high tech corporate, high end retail, touristy, bustling area, this is an authentic neighborhood place. So, let down your guard and strike up a chat with the folks next to you - you’re sure to make new friends and create some new wine stories along the way.

Excellent selection of wines and snacks for wine. Some tables outdoors on the sidewalk -- very pleasant on a balmy evening. The assiette de Bordeaux was a nice charcuterie board for wine. My only (minor) complaint: the casing should have been removed from the saucisson before it was sliced.

What an amazing hidden gem in downtown Seattle, had a really good gastronomic offer (food and wine) and outstanding service. The "planche du Beaujolais " (a.k.a. picadita) was delicious. Downside was that they don't take Amex and you find it out at bill payment time :( otherwise it is a must if you are in downtown
