I’m glad I found this gem randomly scrolling through Google maps! I ordered the Catfish platter with fries, a side of Mac and cheese, and collared greens for lunch. My order was out in 10-15 minutes, which was great timing considering there were 3-4 people also with to-gos in front of me! While I waited, the staff were all extremely friendly and kept me updated on the cook times of the food. By the time I got back to my work, everything was still piping hot. The catfish was juicy, the tartar sauce was delicious, and the Mac and cheese was comforting. I’ve never tried collard greens before and after this, I would definitely have them again. The food was plenty for my lunch and reheated well for a late day snack. I’m going to have to come back and check out the rest of the menu!

Delicious food and even better service. The pastor that owns this restaurant is truly an amazing man. This local spot is delicious. The menu changes but you really can't go wrong with anything you get. This time around we got 2 orders of fried chicken, mac n cheese, rice and gravy and their dessert, which was sweet potato dumplings. We started with the dessert. Oh boy was it delicious. Cooked perfectly not too sweet, but so flavorful. I wanted more. The chicken was extra crispy and fresh, as they make it fresh to order. The sides were also delicious. Cannot wait to go back and see what the pastor is cooking up!

We have had fried chicken around the south and I have to say... This place is no joke... Has to be the best fried chicken I've had.... The greens are absolutely delicious as well 😋 can't wait to go back !!!

This place is AMAZING 💕😍😍✨ The good is beyond excellent, the staff are well dressed and clean! The service can't be beat! You can really get a sense of what the food of the South tastes like without even having to leave the state. Best I've ever had, and will definitely be going back for more! Also their website tells you everything you need to know about the food of this week and next, it is kept up to date with always so definitely check it out!

Excellent menu. Some of the best service you'll find in the Seattle area. Fast, high quality food served hot and fresh. Thank you for a great dining experience. Fish and Chips were really good , probably the best I’ve had . Yams are now my favorite side .

Ive seen this spot a few times before ever being able to stop in. The hours they are open are pretty small. But if you can make it.. its so totally worth it. Fresh to order fried chicken. Amazing taste and super juicy! The mac was really good too!!!

Service was friendly - food was a bit slow but was pretty good. Had smoked baby backs with fries. Bbq sauce was ok. Ribs were fall off bone. Which is not much favorite. There was flavor in the ribs but not a lot of smoke. Folks here are nice. Will try their gumbo and chicken next visit. They are only open a couple days a week due to their cook going to college. Right now schedule is Thursdays and Saturdays.

OMG!!! A hidden gem found in Tukwila. I don’t know where to start. First, the customer service is outstanding. You’re greeted wen you first come in by the gentleman who takes your order. The ladies in the back cooking occasionally peek out and greet you with a smile. Second, the food is cooked to order. I’ve been wanting some fried fish since Good Friday. Y’all this place smells just like the southern eateries in the south. Smells like grandma cooking, comfort and love. I ordered the chicken with a side of cabbage. My tastes buds started dancing 💃🏾 the cabbage is cooked without meat, but it was so delicious along with the not so sweet corn muffin. ( down south we usually eat hocake cornbread). Y’all the chicken. Lawd, the chicken is organic and locally grown and you can taste it. The batter on the chicken reminds me of my mom’s fried chicken. When she would coat the chicken with flour in a brown paper bag. And fry it up in that crisco lard. 😂 moving on to the catfish. Can you say y-u-m-m-y!! It’s fried to perfection golden brown, crispy cornmeal and tender flaky fish. The hush puppies we good too. The menu is limited but, if you want some down home cooked food, this is the place. Besides, this gives the cooks to concentrate on their speciality. Giving you the best. 😊The food is definitely cooked with the finest ingredients, integrity, and love. I must apologize for not posting pictures. But I ate all my food before I made this review teehee 🤭 all I have is an empty container. Bottom line the food is good. To the owners and staff at Southern Grill thank you for the best southern culinary food I’ve had in my 7 years living here. You have a repeat customer and I will spread the word. Wasn't the worse but...not the best either..the food was way over cooked...to much sugar in the potatoe salad.....being a cook myself im a lil critical but....still wasn't worth 100$ I really need to open my own building and get some plates our there I'd be rich...

The cabbage is the best I've had. The touch of white candied yams was different but really good.
