This is the very first gym I genuinely fell in love with. Most importantly I found a coach, mentor and a real master in his craft. I’ve found good and true teammates with whom I’ve trained with. In a very warm and competitive and safe environment. We all have different stories and lives, personal goals. And with that in mind all grew together towards them. I’ve been in 🌊 since its opening and I’ve trained in many professional clubs and been around the best in combat sports. Coach Micah B is THAT Coach you would want to be trained under and mentored by and Wave Combat Sports is THAT Gym. Whether you’re a professional, aspiring to become one or just someone who wants to learn something new and impactful. Welcome to Wave Combat Sports.

Wave combat sports IS the spot to go if you want to get better as a striker! Coach Micah Browns' program cuts out all of the unnecessary elements of training, and focuses on fundamentals/technique and builds your skill base up from there. Every class I’ve been to feels like a paid seminar worth of knowledge, and you can tell everything being taught has been methodically thought out and thoroughly structured. It has also been a blessing to be able to pick Micah’s brain during class, he’s obsessed with the sport and his understanding of striking dynamics is world class. The gym facility is huge and has all the equipment you need to train as well as a boxing ring in a central location. It is also split with a weight lifting gym called The Training Pit (if you ever want to add muscle growth or extra conditioning to your program). The gym community has been awesome; everyone is very chill, down to earth, and welcoming. While I have not tried the BJJ program, the instructor Rudy is a great guy, with a wealth of knowledge and it seems like they are all having a blast over on the Jiu Jitsu side. If you’re ever in the Tacoma area and curious about the gym, come swing by and trial a class 🌊👍

It's hard to describe how grateful I am for my experience at Wave Combats Sports. I started training here when the gym opened last January and I've gained so much confidence as a fighter and I'm really grateful to have been able to train and experience my first fight out of Wave! I'm sadly moving away, but It's been an honor to watch the gym grow over the last year and a half and I can't wait to see the continued evolution of Wave!

I’ve been taking online lessons from Coach Micah for over 2 years, and actually made a trip out to Wave when it finally opened! I was a nervous as it was my first experience ever in a group/gym environment, and I was flying across the country to immerse myself in the experience for a week. It was phenomenal. The community, the culture, the environment, the coaching, it is all S Tier. I spent that week learning alongside new friends from one of the best coaches I’ve ever met. Whether you are a novice or seasoned veteran; this is the place to challenge yourself and learn how to be a better fighter.

Wave Combat Sports is a solid 5/5 experience. As soon as I arrived from out of town, I was welcomed and treated immediately as an insider. Coach Micah B is a world class coach that works with all levels of strikers from beginners to professional fighters. This gym is very clean and has several amenities like several heavy bags, a ring, on-site Physical Therapy, Strength and conditioning equipment, showers, and much more. I really appreciated how much control and mutual respect was shown by Coach Micah and all his students. This gym is world class.

The environment this gym and its people provides is nothing short of what all MMA gyms should be. Friendly towards hobbyists, and challenging for those wishing to compete. Maintaining a safe/non-ego gym is what these people have DOWN which makes it all the more best to learn from these guys. If you're looking for an amazing striking coach, Micha B is your guy. Looking for a killer grappling coach? Rudy Gonzales has got you. My best decision to join these guys a year ago.

I had 0 experience walking into Wave Combat, so I was a little nervous, but I quickly felt welcomed by both the coaches and teammates. It’s a fun atmosphere and everyone is just trying to get better. There’s also some competitive fighters on the team and going to watch their fights is a lot of fun. Highly recommend for beginners and experienced fighters alike!

This is by far the best gym in Tacoma. The instructors are very knowledgeable as well as welcoming and non judgmental, there to help you every step of the way. I was amazed at the the atmosphere of the gym, in my previous experiences at combat gyms and other martial arts gyms it’s either sink or swim but not here we all grow together and it’s more like a family. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for self defense or wanting to just improve there overall physical health 👍🏼

Top notch facilities combined with top notch instruction = one of the best gyms in the Greater Seattle / Tacoma area. Micah Brown is super knowledgeable, and is passionate about sharing his knowledge with people across all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner, or seasoned fighter Micah has something for you. The culture there is great as well, everyone from instructors, to students are friendly and welcoming. You truly feel like part of the family the moment you step on the mat.

Iron sharpens iron and these guys are best people in Tacoma to learn and grow with! Rudy Gonzales is the most passionate and dedicated BJJ coach I have ever met and is invested in your progress no matter your level of experience if you want to learn BJJ what are you waiting for?! this is the place to be! Micah Brown is the Muay Thai striking coach at WCS and even though I’m on the BJJ side of the gym I can see he is the best at what he does and loves to teach, I hope to be able to train with him asap! If you are new.. start now and start here, it’s a welcoming environment and rich with spirit! If you are experienced, join us and enjoy an excellent gym to excel and continue your education in MMA. It’s always and inspiration being around everyone here they help push me to be the strongest version of myself. I am grateful to be apart of Wave Combat Sports!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING TO THIS GYM! Very thorough! Coach Micah B and the team of fighters there are all very respectful and welcoming! Did two sessions and took a class (all of whom were very helpful and respectful as well), and definitely can see the high level experience in the instruction and application! Very clean gym! There are also showers! If you choose Muay Thai or MMA to stay fit, 100% you’ve found the right place and you’ll learn proper technique in the process. This isn’t a tae Bo class lol it’s a very thorough and well structured school! 10/10 I fully recommend!

Ive been to a few gyms, but this is by far the best gym I have trained at. Ive been taking striking classes since January and have already grown and learned so much. Coach Micah is super smart, patient, and a fun instructor and brings a good chill vibe to the gym. Whether youre just passionate about martial arts, looking to compete or just a fun way to get in shape this is the spot to go to!

One of the best gyms I’ve had the pleasure of training out of. Coaches Micah and Rudy have a wealth of knowledge and the ability to teach audiences of all levels. The facility itself is brand new and has everything you need, from heavy bags, to free weights and cardio machines.

This is such an awesome environment I joined the day it opened with zero experience in combat sports and have felt a ton of improvement. Micah is such an awesome coach and great person. On if the first things I noticed and respect the most about this gym is that you can tell they don’t just do it for the money. They really care about every person and about helping everyone learn in a welcoming environment. As long as I’m around here in tacoma I’ll never go to another gym!

Outstanding facility ran by a team of professionals. Everyone is kind, respectful and understands the importance of what everyone is doing there - improving ourselves one day at a time. Everyone from beginners to long time practitioners are welcome! Highly professional classes taught by Professors Micah and Rudy and elite services by Seth and Vanessa.
