Cute little spot on South B that we walked past a few times before looking up 'lounge' on Google maps for a good cocktail place. Nicki our server was fantastic. She was helpful not only as a server but with ideas for places for pie for our next stop for our date night. I ordered a southside which wasn't great but next time I'll try something off their cocktail menu. My husband ordered a non-alcoholic drink which he enjoyed. The music was a little loud but it was good music. Service: spot on! Cocktails: ok but we will try again Atmosphere: worth trying again I'm willing to give this spot another try for not just the cocktails but the food as well.

Cute bar in San Mateo downtown. They import their ice from local ice shop! They have a wide variety of cocktails to choose from at a reasonable price (~$15 per cocktail). I got the angry bird the first time and the punch second time. Both were delicious.

Good place to have a couple of cocktails and some bites. Lots of unique cocktails on the menu and will come back here to try more. Loved the ambience too. We ordered the Angry Bird, Swan Song and the Artichoke Spinach dip. The cocktails were amazing and so was the dip.

Been meaning to visit, but always seemed to be too short on time to enjoy it, finally had a chance to drop in yesterday and it was definitely worth it. To start, the renovation from the prior establishment is fantastic. It's so bright and well appointed, if you'd been here before, you'd never believe it's the same place. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly, answered all our questions, and made some great suggestions for those who weren't super familiar with the things on the menu and how they might taste. Thirdly, the drinks themselves were excellent. Even if you get one that isn't quite to your taste, it's easy to appreciate the care that went into crafting it, and the presentation. That being said though, all the drinks we had were excellent, so I look forward to working through the menu over time and enjoying the rest. Well worth dropping by if you have the time to enjoy the drinks (and snacks)!

Excellent cocktails, very friendly service. Creative menu with lots of innovative drinks. The only drawback is I don’t understand why last call is at 8:30 on a Thursday night! By 930 they had turned all the lights on! I think this cocktail bar is operating on Eastern time.

We have searched the peninsula for a speakeasy vibes place that wasn’t pretentious or required reservations. We nailed it finding this place. Great environment, carefully makes speciality cocktails with a nice diversity. This will be our spot!

Visited this cozy cocktail and tapad lounge with a friend who is a regular and it was everything I hoped it would be. Being the first ones to arrive at opening was a good idea because there was a line formed behind us already. They seated us right away and took our order since we had chosen cocktails and tapas ahead of time. Our server was so kind and attentive. We visit San Mateo occasionally and I know we will be back to this spot and it works out great that our friends love it, too!

Really nice bar with a super knowledgeable staff. Cassie took the time to walk us through the choices and helped us find our favorite cocktail.

Update: It's been 4 months. No one has made contact. Still racist. Update on Review: my husband and I have been here before. We've had great service and even did tequila tasting. On Saturday (10/21) my husband called and made a reservation and went alone for a sangria. He came back pretty heart broken because again, we've been here and had great service. They decided to seat him and not serve him. They ignored him completely and served everyone else around him. We're never coming back and never recommending this place ever again. Plenty of people go to bars for a single drink and go on their way. I can't fathom why they didn't serve him other than he's a dark skinned Latino man that came straight from work. When I go with my husband we get great service and I can only assume it is because I am a white looking Latina. It seems they have a specific demographic in mind to be in this establishment. If you're "blue collar" as my husband's cap said, you're not welcomed here. If you're not white, I don't think you're welcomed here either. I called in and spoke to Sammy who had spoken with my husband over the phone to make the reservation. She was extremely shocked and embarrassed by her employees and was trying to make it right. We have yet to be contacted by the owner (which we were told would call my husband to make it right). In 2023, this is just appalling to experience in the Bay Area. Check your employees and correct their behavior. The menu was hard to choose from which will bring us back! Callyn was extremely attentive and helpful when choosing drinks. It's an amazing place to have a good time. My husband and I will be back.

I arranged a happy hour/celebration for my team and worked with David ahead of time to pre-order food. David was amazing to work with and the service when we got there was great. Sammie was knowledgeable of their drinks and made recommendations based on people's preferences. She was so pleasant and attentive too.

Cute, creative cocktail menu with traditional picks and new takes. Got the milk punch that had a good subtle hint of coconut but the drink is somehow clear? 😮 other folks got some good old fashions and Palomas. Friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of tables during HH but no HH specials? C'mon! 😄

Interesting cocktails that were well-crafted and an intriguing environment! If you like specialty cocktails that are complex, but balanced, Fogbird is an excellent choice. They have an impressive menu of a wide variety of cocktails, even including sparkling and wine-based ones. We went on a Friday at 8 PM and could barely find seating. The place was pretty full from the after dinner crowd.

First of all, let me start by saying I think they have the best bar bites. I went there for a company happy hour with my colleagues and we tried every item on their list. The olive is so good that I even considered getting takeouts...For drinks, the cocktails are delicious and they have a wide range of options. Highly recommend for anyone and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

An excellent date spot (though not exclusively, decent group seating and bar seats to check it out solo). Their cocktails were really interesting and showy while being decent/good, food was pretty good, and the atmosphere is amazing.
