Not the best laid out Macy's I've been to. Unfortunately, if you're at the Stanford shopping center and you need shoes or some other specific items you do have to come to Macy's. But they didn't have anything I was looking for. And things seemed a little bit harder to find than necessary.

Good and spacious. Many options to choose and many sales.

I’ve been shopping at Macy’s for over 60 years. Sad to see this iconic store has become a shell of its former self. The staff shortage and supply chain issues make for service and availability issues. Went to pick up some Mac and Dior make up - out of stock once I tracked down a salesperson to help me. Dressing rooms closed and checkers scarce. I was able to buy a shirt on sale once I found an open room. Of course there is no one to help you. I still like their merchandise. I did cancel my Macys credit card due to exorbitant and tricky fees. The lovely Macys shopping experience is long-gone. A by-gone era. Sad.

Nice place for overall shopping experience. It's one of the store of Macy's with local as well as international brands. The Store has two showrooms, common and exclusively for men at Stanford Shopping Center

Macy's is always a fantastic place for shopping. We are visiting here from Chicago and found this Macy's to be very clean, and beautifully decorated for the holidays.

My sons bought a mother's day present for their mom. It was a beautiful necklace. It was a memorable occasion, made possible choosing from a broad range of products available. The lady salesperson was cordial, polite and helpful in selecting the appropriate gift.

Honestly a terrible shopping experience. No one was keeping any displays nice, there were clothes and hangers everywhere (on the floor---why would I want to try on anything that's been laying, crumpled up on the floor!?), and no one offered to help or ask if we needed anything. So if there's no one cleaning up, then why isn't there any customer service? When I asked an employee where something was, they replied "over there' and pointed...this store is in need of some new management or standards or something. Hugely disappointing.

Dennis at the women’s shoes is super helpful, patient and always has a smile on his face. We are living in times that is so hard to come across people like Dennis with great customer service, charming and professional. He’s a gem to Macy’s Palo Alto.

An iconic store at a prime location. Brightly lit and beautifully decorated for the holidays. It evokes feelings of good-old-days, celebration and joy. Walking through the isles, checking clothes, household items, jewelry and whatever else, perhaps buying a few items can be therapeutic in the midst of restrictions and feeling of isolation brought on by COVID.

We walked in and went to the jewelry department to have a new watch fitted. Cindy knew immediately we were the couple who had called earlier.Not only did she have it adjusted on the spot but knew the item was on sale now! Cindy got me the new price and. refunded the rest. Talk about above and beyond service. I will be back for my next jewelry need.

This Macy’s is great. Found a couple cute dresses on sale, one of them was 84% off! The sale section is a bit messy & could be organized a little better. Other than that, I highly recommend this Macy’s if you’re looking for high quality clothes at lower prices & great sales.

There was a kind young Manager that greeted us. She asked what she could help me with. Had a associate in every department to help me get what I needed for a wedding. Shoe associate gentleman didn't seem to want to help whatsoever, wouldn't offer any choices, any ideas, anything won't buy shoes there. Other departments. JEWELRY, PURSE DEPT, MAKEUP DEPT..were kind helpfully and we spent more then expected however with that kind of manager, the associates who cared enough to listen and help , BRAVO. I cant Thank you enough.

The clearing section in this store is a little bit hidden but it had a treasure trove of items. Definitely one of the better clearance sections I had seen in the Macy's

The store is in a great location, there's plenty of free parking right across in the parking structure. The selection is very limited. I went in to buy a shoe, they only had two shoes size 13. I ended up buying one of the shoes only to realize later that didn't fit like other size 13 shoes. As you would expect, the prices are higher in the shopping malls.

Can you have few of the associates walking around in the store to help reduce the long line at the check out register ? After being in the line for 6 minutes, I was ready to walk out without buying the stuff they I bought, but decided to wait, instead of going home and ordering the same things of Amazon.

Macy's is the only store in this area open until 9:00 so I was grateful that I could do some shopping here. Lots of great prices in the clearance section. Restroom was very clean.

This has got to be one of the shoddiest Macy's stores out there! Where to start... The floor layout makes no sense, clothes piled everywhere, price signage in the wrong places, most of the tills and fitting rooms are not in use. Then the fitting rooms that are open are in a shocking state - dodgy door locks, hooks falling off the wall, dirty. The whole place needs a refurbishment. They had also run out of shopping bags when I visited. I'd rather shop in target.

Avoid the shoe dept if you want some level of service. Treatment here is a joke. The people here all know that they will get paid without needing to work. There were 3 people (a younger lady, an older lady and a male) who will regularly come within 1 foot of you but will avoid eye contact with you in case God forbid you had a question or wanted a size. The young lady was paid for being on her phone the whole time 6-7 of us needed help, being exceptionally impatient with an old lady who had difficulty hearing. I hope when this sales rep gets to that age that other people will show her more empathy than she has. Come to think of it, EVERYONE reading this should apply here to work here, and get others to apply here: it’s free money.

Typical Macy's inside was nice. But the mens room needs an upgrade. No ventilation fan, and the area was very yucky.

Online order pickup was simple and easy.

The clothing sections are pretty messy and it’s difficult to find anything if you’re looking for something specific. Not many sizes available. For the shoe section, there was only one employee working on a Sunday afternoon/evening. The one employee had to cover everything, including checkout and getting people shoes to actually try on in their size, and so service was very slow. It took over 20 minutes just to get a shoe to try on.

It's a good Macy's that has a great selection of clothes. Especially dresses. Definitely heading here again for dress shopping.
