I've lived here over 8 years n I have an awesome room. It's peaceful. It's secure. It's clean. The maintenance guys r on the ball fixing n maintaining all the needs n the building. The Management r fair n always have a open door to any resident. The majority of the people here r great. If u mind ur own business and don't cause problems u will live here happily ever after. I'm very happy here. I recommend it to any senior, disabled, low income or persons that need a safe, nice place to live. Home is where ur heart is n where u make it. I've made mine here and I'm very content with my choice. The people here r NOT crazy they r unique! No place n no one is perfect. But we r family!! Don't be a judge if it's not ur job. EVERYONE deserves a chance

The Californian hotel is a facility for individuals who basically have no where to turn. All too often, people will be in a set of circumstances that seem insurmountable. They nearly slip through the cracks of society. The facility is for them. In almost every case, these individuals have needs that are above the norm— these people are good people.

This historic hotel located on Van Ness avenue and Kern street in DWTN-Fresno is a high rise building. This structure houses senior citizens or individuals who are disabled. The administration processes applicants utilizing numerous obstacle tactics that may take up to five years or longer to complete. The staff members conduct themselves unprofessionally and are often rude. The hallways are filled with stale cigarette odors and has a substantial death rate among its residents. Although there are ancient rumors still alive about pest infestations, no evidence can support such rumors.

I lived there 4 1/2 years,. One thing I know is it's family. You can't complain. And u have no the office changes rules on those they have conflect with:) rights there.

Its now apartments for elderly and disabled people. There are roaches and bed bug problems. The building itself is beautiful

On 3/13/2023 ..My Brother is a resident and Our families were trying to get intouch with him.. We called you, and I was told it would take a while to go check on him ..and in the same breath I was told you do a well check every day at 11am and that it showed he answered… Come to find out he was in the hospital since 3/09.. .. what kind of facility are you running!! Very disappointed.. and I had heard great things about this place

Drug addicts are all over this place. The elevators are not up to date, the permit expired in September 2019 and they're still in use. I don't know how hud is still paying this place it's gross.

You can feel the history in every step, corner, nook and cranny. A great place to visit and explore

Best part of living here is the late night time the fire alarm go off and i here the people living next to me cussing about it very funny indeed so this spot get 5 star for entertainment thank you been here since Dec 2019 i never go down for the fire alarm I said to myself the captain must go down with his ship

Management is all family. Rats. Brown water. Theft is a constant issue. Assaults on property. NO SECURITY. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Favoritism. Eavesdropping on residents by intercom. I could go on, ie. Illegal handling of property, irresponsible administration (uneducated administrator) makes up "policy" as is convenient. NEPOTISM is a major issue.

This place is infested with rats and roaches. Remember, this is retired and low income, and where you'll end up living if you don't plan for a better future 💯

Always cleaning always friendly always secure
