While the location was superb and I highly recommend staying in the valley if you have the opportunity, our room was definitely dated. The caulk in the tub had mold; the paint was chipped all over the walls, and the bed was rough. However, I didn’t really dwell on the lackluster room simply because the location was incredible. You can easily walk to a ton of incredible spots from here without having to get in your car. Yosemite falls is a 5 minute walk. Spectacular views of half dome, again 5 minute walk. There are plenty of amenities here as well (the lodge gift store with snacks, the cafeteria, Starbucks, the mountain dinning room, and a sweet lodge hangout room with a an epic fire place and bar). We got a cheaper room, and I understood why it was “cheap”. It didn’t put a damper our stay though. Highly recommend visiting during the holidays when we did. The decorations and overall vibe were super cute, cozy, and very quiet.

It's a decent enough little room, nothing fancy. The location is very convenient. Everything worked, the water tasted good, and for what it's worth, it was close to the cafeteria (which like everything else at Aramark's Yosemite) is mediocre at best. The mattresses were inexcusably terrible - almost a hammock. I could fit an entire pillow in the hole in the middle of the cheap thing which probably hadn't been replaced in 30 years. I definitely looked forward to getting out of bed. The bed further from the window was slightly better, but still long past its useful life. I'd stay again, but I'd sleep on the floor or a cot. It's not worth a sore back when you're hiking all day. We also went in winter, and the maintenance of the property in regards to snow removal was abysmal. Zero effort. It was dangerous. Full icebergs on the concrete steps for days, and the sidewalks weren't shoveled either.

The location is amazing, and the views are amazing.. rooms are outdated which wasn't a problem but the cleanliness is where Yosemite valley lodge fell short. Mold in bathroom due to no ventilation. Leafs, twigs and rocks on the floor. My socks were black within minutes from the floor.
