The room was not fit for occupancy. The room had electrical wires dangling on the wall. This can cause shock and fire. Floors were dirty and liquid soap dispenser falling. Broken toilet paper holder and torn wall paint. Cockroaches everywhere. One fell from the shower head and others on the sink and floor. I was afraid they would crawl on my lips or ears when i slept. I wiped aftershave cologne on my face and around my bed posts. The alcohol content kept them away plus i left the room lights on since cockroaches are afraid of the lights and prefer hiding in the dark. I could have gotten a safer and cleaner room elsewhere for less than a hundred dollars.

The rooms had cockroaches the 3 of them we got!!! Walls are so dirty, it loos like people were walking over them. Floor was disgustingly dirty. Kids walk in from the pool and drip a bit of water, we used a towel to dry it. Towel turned chocolate brown! There was a noodle sup cup in the microwave in one room, and beans spilled inside the microwave in the other room. Condon wrappers and a stack of cards under the bed! 😔 the only thing we enjoyed was the pool. It really was a very hot day. We left the very next day.

Incredible hotel, I regret that I didn't refer to others' reviews! Are cockroaches crawling in the bathtub, there is no refrigerator, microwave, and even the phone is thrown on the floor instead of the table. It is not worth spending 70 dollars here. The official website is also wrong and there is no breakfast, and you need to ask her for towels. Will give you, the room was dirty, so was the toilet, a lot of homeless and black people chatting around, they didn't look friendly, bad hotel, and very chaotic around! It is recommended to choose another hotel! When checking in, her tone was not good, sorry, very slow, and the sound insulation was poor. When someone walked, the whole building shook! If I can choose 0 star I will definitely choose it, I even think it is a negative star hotel. I will definitely not come to this hotel again!

Roaches and bed bugs. Hotel for homeless and hookers. Clerk couldn't speak English well to give me the WiFi password. Towels were dirty. Had 2 guests and was made to walk to the front office for more towels. Police was the only thing at night that made me comfortable. No light in the entrance of the room out of order.

Stay away. A terrible experience. At check in, we were told we would be in a smoking room that was not ready, but they would give us the keys anyway. The exterior is absolute pandemonium. There is an encampment in the side parking lot and general debauchery that goes on into the night. Cleanliness 1/5. Safety 1/5. Awful.

If I would have the option of putting negative stars I would have. You have 20 minutes from check in to decide if you are fine with your room or not, however, there’s cockroaches in every room (I rented 3 for my whole family) there was no light in 2 of them and in one of them there was a leak so we had to change rooms, the other rooms also had cockroaches so I saw 6 in total with those. The doors had pry marks in all rooms. So if you really need to spend $30 per person cause of budget, this is what you get ☹️

Please please please do not stay here! Mostly if you are a family with kids!! The place is super sketchy, we arrived around 10pm, there were addicts all around the building and homeless people were digging trough the trash can right in front of our room the whole night. The room was a mess, floor was sticky and super dirty (my feet got black after a couple minutes walking there), one of the outlets was broken, there was a roaches in the bathroom (which was also really dirty!) and the fire detectors were out of order???? Also absolutely no wifi reception. You can hear people from upstairs moving around; the whole rooms grumbles and you can also hear people walking and talking outside as if they were next to you. Overall bad experience, especially for the price (70$ a night + 50$ deposit) and they got our room wrong and had to change it three times. Not mentioning that the check-in time was wrong and there were two people booked for the same room. I’d say it’s fine if you want to just spend the night and hit the road soon in the morning but I really would recommend to pay extra 15-20$ dollars and stay somewhere else. It’s really not worth the price it has. We did not feel safe at all.

Horrible place. Staff is difficult to work with and always acts like you are bothering them. Was there for several days and never had house keeping come to my room. Getting fresh towels was a challenge since the front desk never wanted to help. The rooms were even worse, nasty rooms, dirty walls, dried blood on the headboard, faucet leaked constantly, tub faucet leaked all the time and the lock on the door didn't work correctly. Save your money and don't waste your time with this place. I will never make this mistake again.

Location is in industrial area. Easy freeway access and lots of parking but noisy and sketchy. The room absolutely stunk! Not from the person I had to see on business but from... who knows what. I couldn't stay in room more than 1 minute. Room was old and nasty with cracked glass in picture frames. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Same bad experience as other guests bad service. We were 4 of us and only gave us 1 towel. And no more shampoo. We.ask for.more they said they can't. Also room smelled very bad, smoke and pets odor. Never again will stay again. Room very narrow. Dirty bathroom and room. We.had a water coming to our room. Which cause all our stuff, cloth to get wet but of course all we got was I am sorry we had pipe broke and wouldn't give us towels or something to dry floor with.

Well where do I start I've been here in the past and now recently wow you guys are doing an amazing job getting it up and good keep up the good work.great staff one housekeeper in particular that by far has the most genuine and sincere hello have a great day and hope to see you again I've heard in a very long long time, she has such a great and friendly personality I've ever encountered and she's such a delight to come across she's the young blonde housekeeper with the cool burgundy converse. All the housekeepers look like they work very hard and I just want to say they are doing there best and I'm sure they will continue to do there best if not getting better. Before months back these rooms were really bad and full of roaches, now its getting way better rooms are getting cleaner and issues with the liveliness at night time getting better keep up the excellent work Vagabond staff you guys are doing great.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. Worst place to ever stay at. Very disappointed and sad we had to cut our trip short because of how disgusting this place was. First the area it’s in is super sketchy and lots of homeless around property. the first room they gave us, the door wouldn’t unlock so they moved us to another room and that door also didn’t unlock, the peephole was punched in and they used a piece of wood to cover it up and the door definitely seemed like someone once tried to break it. The room smelt absolutely disgusting and don’t even get me started with the bathroom. It looked as if the walls were growing mold and pieces of tile looked like they were distorted and just left there. Floors felt disgusting so we made sure to wear looks but even after then our socks looked and felt nasty after we left. We had booked one night but we left within the first 2 hours because we couldn’t take it anymore. Absolutely ruined our trip.

Room was actually really nice, floor a bit dirty but I asked for a broom to dust it out a little and no worries. Beds were new! Comfortable and no bugs anywhere I read other reviews before staying. fridge worked excellently. Rooms by the pool are renovated, quiet stay on a friday night. The hot water went out they were fixing it right away and even comped for the inconvenience. I was overall really impressed with a great experience for an awesome price! Great coffee in the mornings as well. We will be returning.

Towels weren’t replaced for all four nights, we needed to use our own. Front desk is mostly closed so even if you want to ask for service there’s no one to help. No microwave or coffee machine in the room, no toilet paper. I honestly recommend not going to this place

One 🌟 too many!! This place should shut it's doors. One night too many no sheets, dirty pillow covers ( blood stains ) had to cover bed with sleeping bad and a 2nd comfort blanket - TV 📺 DID NOT WORK!! Broken light fixtures walls look like the were cleaned with a muddy sponge. Oh yeah blood on the walls - dirty sink, toilet and shower. Almost forget to mention the graffiti on the furniture not to mention it was sticky I will be calling corporate office and demanding a refund.

I can ignore the musty cigarette smell. The worn out paint and moldy walls. I can even ignore a roach or two. I didn’t expect much but I have to draw the line somewhere. it wasn’t just one or two roaches, we saw at least a dozen. I ended up booking a different hotel even after paying for this one. The previous 3 reviewers say they had roaches, clearly they know this is a problem yet continue to rent rooms out. To top it off, they didn’t just put a $50 hold on my credit card for the deposit. They actually charged it. I don’t recall other hotels doing this? Perhaps they charged it hoping I don’t notice?

My honest opinion is pay the extra 20 bucks for a Motel 6 or anywhere else. Asked for non-smoking room, got a room that smelled like cigarettes and had ashes in the sink. There is no microwave or fridge. There is a grainy tv with like 20 channels. Bathrooms seem very unsanitary, and there are stains on the bedding and dirty floors. If you have to stay here I wouldn't recommend walking barefoot in the room or shower. Worst of all was the roaches. Big flying roaches at night. Don't do it.

I booked for 3 nights, but checked out after first night since no cleanliness no water in bathroom no internet. I work remote, I had to apply for time off due to this. I checked out without taking shower since no water in bathroom room. The room was soo untidy. Staffs were rude. Room full of roaches. Broken refrigerator leaking water. If I could give no stars I would! Do not stay here! It’s dirty and has roaches. My parents were there for a total of 3-4 hours only and decided to check out instead from how bad it was. The first room was not fully cleaned and super small, not what they reserved. They were moved to a second room which was “cleaner” but had roaches. After they let front desk know of this, they acted surprised then gave them an almost empty can of Raid to “fix” the problem. They had enough of their unhelpful behavior and the audacity to treat senior citizens with disrespect. (Yes they were very rude). When they told them to cancel because of all the troubles they were having, they had the nerve to still charge them for 1 night! (They had 2 night reservation) Neither of the rooms were clean, and neither of them were anything like what the pictures showed when they booked. Including they didn’t even have TV in room. Horrible experience and will never stay here and will never recommend

Who wants to pay for a motel room that doesn't have everything it should. First off the site I reserved my room from stated that check out time is 11am when it's actually 10am. The site also said it has continental breakfast which it doesn't have. The room didn't have washcloths, a TV and worst off it didn't even have a phone in it. Most people who stay in hotels/motels like to get a wake up call but without a phone that's impossible. I wouldn't suggest anyone stay at this motel which seems to be close to being run down. The only thing nice about it was the woman working at the check in desk when I arrived.

Luckily me and my boyfriend only stayed one night because this was by far the worst motel I stayed at and I would rather sleep in my car next time and save me the money! The room was dirty and there were stains everywhere: walls, ceiling, curtains etc. some even looked like blood stains. There was also suspicious looking white powder on the table and on the chair and a shoe print on the bed sheet at the head of the bed. The area is also super sketchy and feels very unsafe. Last but not least there were little roaches everywhere! They came down the walls while showering, and we saw some more on the bathroom floor and even on the table. Please don’t make the same mistake as me and stay away from this motel!!!

This place is ridiculous.... I never had such a bad experience at a hotel and I like traveling.. The employees are rude and act like you're wasting their time.. they changed our room three times.. first room TV didn't work cockroaches everywhere.. second room No TV cockroaches everywhere.. third room No TV cockroaches everywhere had to ask for towels it looked like they didn't even clean the spreads.. if I could I would give this place - 12 stars. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place not even drive by the place might catch something.. boooo never stay here ever..

By far the worst motel I’ve ever seen in my life. It was absolutely filthy even after the manager showed us 3 different rooms - graffiti on the walls, empty alcohol bottles in the trash, nearly black toilet seats from the filth, stolen TV, the list goes on. The manager was incredibly unhelpful and very strange as every time we asked to see a different room, he would say they’re not good and would not tell us why. We ended up staying elsewhere because it looked like you could catch a disease here and there was a high amount of illegal activity happening around the building. After speaking with Expedia to get our money back, they called the manager and he said we were lying about everything and tried to charge us more because we “stayed 20 min too long” which is false. I only regret not taking photos for proof but we ran out of here so fast. This place should NOT be in business, and these managers should never run a motel again. Worst experience ever. Stay away.

NIGHTMARE! I would give 0 rating if I could. We booked two rooms and when we came they were not available, and we were told we could pay extra for other rooms. Our room didn't have even one chair. No fridge, no microwave. There was a cable hanging from a wall. The curtains were on the floor (its them who needed to pay us for fixing that). It was noisy there and we felt very insecure. Someone called the police at night and there was loud talking outside. What's worst, there were cockroaches everywhere. We didn't see them at first, but when we turned off the light they started crawling out. Horrible place!

This place was one of the nastiest places I have ever seen. The room we were assigned to had urine on the toilet seat and roaches in the room. We requested a new room, they then gave us another dirty room. There were also sketchy people lurking around the hotel and we even witnessed a drug transaction right in the parking lot. Please, save your money. Don't stay here; you will be disappointed.

Never going back. The place is scary. There was a lot of people shouting and fighting in late night. Couldn't sleep because of that and the trains nearby. Shower was good but overall, it was a nightmare. The worst place I've ever been.

This place is terrible. It's unsafe plywood bathroom door that felt like it was going to fall off the frame. I have never felt so grossed out and scared to be in a hotel room. Bed spread and sheet things looked like they could get up and walk by themselves and don't get me started on the pillows. I was in that room for less than a minute. Whatever you do, don't believe the pictures.

Great improvements since there last year.... All around seemed better. Management: Don't give up! You're doing great, keep up the good work!

In my top 3 worst places I've stayed.. walls were filthy. No towels. No top sheet on the bed. Electrical sockets hanging out of the wall. Floor was filthy. Light fixtures were missing shades. One had no shade or bulb. STAY AWAY!

It looks like after all the reviews and the owner of this building still doesn't do nothing. Recently I visited this hotel to bad app service doesn't say all the bad stuff of the people comments. This hotel is filthy,infested with cockroaches,smell bad,and full of street guest if you know what I mean, but also a hassle to get your money back after knowing the truth of this room service. It looks like this building is going to be reported to the safety code office and health inspection.and open a case towards this building staff and owner.

The room status is a nightmare. The sinker stuck and dirty stuff come out from sinker. Cockroaches ran in the room. The sheets are clearly not cleaned for a while. The beds are broken.

This place is very dirty and nasty. No hot water. They put me into 3 different rooms . One of the rooms had blood on the pillows. The floors had not be moped in the room. I suggest you stay away from the place.

Decent appliances, the rooms looked like they were reasonably maintained, and everybody seemed to be respectful of each other's privacy and property.

They allowed someone who stole my card to stay there. Seems like they didn't do a thorough check on valid payment methods and identity. In my opinion, it's just as bad as the thieves that stole my hard.

Water don't stay hot, in the shower. Actually doesn't even get hot. No, refrigerator, or microwave. T. V. remote doesn't work right. Plugs in the rooms don't work. And they are infested with cockroaches.

Vagabond Inn Fresno is a very bad place. In the rooms they have cockroaches and bedbugs!!! Nothing corresponds to what they write in the accommodation offer on their website. We couldn't spend the night there. It was horrible. We do not recommend!!! Also a dangerous place for your car and personal safety!!! This place doesn't deserve a star!!! The authorities should close it and fine it for lying and endangering customers. But without clicking on the star, I wouldn't have sent this review.

I've been charged two times in my credit card, the first was at the time i was there (and everything was fine), and the second almost one month later, im really worried with this situation, looks like scam, i sent a few emails to this company and im waiting for the reply

Not recommended at all - the only thing that was good about this place was the receptionists. The room was stinky and we got one with smoking even though we booked non smoking. The room was dirty, the shower didn't work and there were hairs in it, there was no wifi reception in the room, no microwave and no fridge. The pool was small, dirty and unfit for use and you hear everything through the walls.

Posted price is wrong, they charged almost twice as much. And tried to charge $15 extra for early check-in. The place is infested with roaches, the lights don’t work. There was only one working lightbulb working in the room. The whole place was extremely FILTHY and the attitude from the manager was so unwelcoming. I am definitely requesting a refund.

Disgusting. There was writing on the bedframe and on the counters, the walls were filthy the floors and even the CEILING was filthy. We checked in and left after about 30 minutes didn't see anything unusual we came back around 10:30pm ish bugs all over the place outside, I went in to take a shower and there were bugs EVERYWHERE beetles cockroaches and they were gigantic. When we checked in the last at the desk was an absolute delight, she was so helpful had an amazing conversation. Theady went we checked out tho, straight b!t¢h

If I could give this place no stars I would. It should be renamed The Roach Hotel. I honestly do not see how this place is still open or not violating some kind of health code. It was completely infested with roaches. Bugs on the walls, floors, counters, ceiling, and they even crawled on the bed. The rooms have no phone to call the office and nobody was in the office. There were a bunch of notices posted on the windows about refunds so clearly this is an ongoing issue. My kids were freaked out and we had to leave early because it was too much to handle but like my 5 year old said, "Maybe the roaches needed somewhere to stay the night."

Worst hotel room I have ever seen in America. Dead and live cockroaches everywhere. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Lamp missing bulbs. When I complain, he says no one has complained before, haha, yet all reviews are 1/5. We had to cancel and get a refund and drive back home 4 hrs at night. Oh ya and the location is sketchy. The wifi is disconnected and the tv service is just as bad. The picture is so fuzzy it gives you a headache. YES THE SAME IN ALL ROOMS. I've stayed here on several occasions and it's always the same only this time there isn't even hot water.

Couldn’t even stay the rest of my booked time. For the price, I expected better, but nope. Previous tenants gunk backing up in my sink, moldy bathroom tiles, missing smoke alarm that was still beeping (why would you hide the smoke alarm??), walls were paper thin (you could hear EVERYTHING). I am not normally one to leave reviews. I do want to say firstly that the staff was very nice, the front desk lady at check in, the maintenance guy we met and the security all very nice. Now let’s move onto the the other stuff. When we walked into the office the first thing I noticed was the dead roach in the lobby, I tried not to think to much of it. We get in our room. We walk in and this strange musty smell hits me immediately, I am pregnant so it’s much stronger to me than my partner but still very hard to tolerate. On the bed there was long black hair, the floor was super dirty. I was on the bed and got up, I looked I seen something crawling on me, I soon realized it was a roach, that was the first of many we seen in a short period of time, the room was like Joes apartment. Due to all the extra guests we decided not to stay the night, took care of the business we had in town and drove back home at 2 Am to avoid taking home some new pets. We did not even leave any of personal items in the room while we were gone because we were afraid something would get in them. It was less than acceptable conditions.
