Very poor food, taste is very plain, but that's not why they are getting such a low review. A 45 minute wait for food and all we ordered was a Cesar's salad and a wrap! The restaurant only had 2 other customers too. Poor customer service. Server didn't even apologize for the long wait and acted as if it's normal, and never checked on us. To even get the bill waited 15 minutes. Essentially an hr plus experience for below average light food. In fact, this is probably the worst dinning experience.

Great food and service! I enjoyed the “Lulu”, similar to a kebab with rice and grilled vegetables. Recommend going here!

My family and I loved eating here. The staff are so friendly and the food is fantastic!! You can’t go wrong with anything that is ordered here. The shish kebab is their main specialty. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We got the sampler with hummus, feta cheese, and turshy. Also the lulu dinner and chicken dinner with pilaf. It was all very good and the waitress was great.

Great food! Servers seemed a bit distracted and took a good 30 minutes to take the check, but the food was fantastic. I had the lamb shish and will rave about it if prompted.

OMG try the Baba Ghanoush. So smoky yum!! Kabobs were tender and perfectly trimmed. Sampler was great too. Staff was pleasant and responsive. We'll definitely go here again!

This restaurant used to be excellent, but not any more. Our reservation was for 7 pm. We didn’t get food until 8 pm. One plate had burnt lulu kebab. They ran out of pilaf. When we were leaving, a waitress or manager just swooshed around one of us and didn’t think anything of it. Food used to be so good and staff used to be polite. Such a loss.

I ordered lamb shank,my friend ordered shrimp.....Oh my ! The sauces on both , although very different, were incredible! The portions are beyond generous, and my friend's fatoush salad was fresh and full of herby flavor....Will definitely go back because there are so many wonderful items we would like to try.....

Bulgur rice was a pleasant surprise. hadn't seen it on a menu in years. It's older folks on a Saturday night. Mostly regulars apparently. Next time I'll get it to go cause it's not my cup of tea but the food was exquisite, the chicken and bulgur in particular. Coconut shrimp wasn't impressive. Armenian coffee was great.

The best lamb chops I've ever had the pleasure of dining on. Grilled to a perfect medium-rare. Loved the string cheese as well. Good Atmosphere. Attractive and Polite Hostess too. Nice seeing My Dad's cousins at the table behind Jack and Beth as Dr. Ted and Special Agent Coughlin and Rapucci as well. Good Baklava also.

This is a great place! I used to eat here often but moved to Bay Area 3yrs ago. Today, my father in law, on his way home from the VA Hospital had to use the bathroom. We stopped at AJ's and no questions asked, they let us in. We thank you so much. You guys still provide the great service we remember. I'll be seeing you soon for some delicious food to take home!

We showed up on a Friday night without a reservation. They were booked solid, but asked if we would mind sitting on the patio. It was chilly, but they had the most glorious heaters! Top-notch service, wonderful food. I can't wait to go back. Parking is pretty dicey, so get there early- and make a reservation!

First time here today and will be my last... worst experience ever! Got here at 11:38 am, placed my order at 11:45 am, 12:30 pm pass by and my lunch hasn't been made. Asked both lady waitresses if lunch has been made, says will check on it but as I watched, waitress in jean walked around wine area to register & stood there instead of checking like she said she was. Lady waitress in black pants comes by and advised her to box my lunch because lunch break was over for me. It was just a simple chicken lunch order with pilaf & roasted veggies. Other customers who came in 10 minutes after me had already finished eating their food.

This IS great Armenian food. It's a simple unsophisticated dining experience that never disappoints!! The chicken is amazing, tender and juicy! Also to note there pricing is very reasonable!!

Vegetable soup was good. No lavash available; too bad. Beef and lamb was tender, but not seasoned or barely seasoned. Salad and bread were okay. Babaganoush was okay. Service is slow. Overall okay. Won’t be returning.

My husband and I visit frequently. My husband is very friendly with the owners and family. The food is ALWAYS fantastic. I have NEVER been disappointed with their menu. They even have a salad dressing that can cause you to bite the heck out of a fork!

Amazing food! Dinner was so good - got the sampler plate with stuffed grape leaves, olives, feta, and babaganoush - all delicious. Shared the Lulu plate for dinner - same. Service was attentive even though our waiter was also hosting, taking orders, making salads, serving, and busing tables.

I went there for the first time to have dinner with my sister and brother-in law who go on a semi regular basis and I didn't know what to expect. Between my sister and the waitress, I had the lamb chops with half and half ( half pilaf and half bulgur). My sister ordered a couple of appetizers of cauliflower and riblettes and they were real good. The whole meal was delicious and I plan on going back again. Highly recommend it.

I never post reviews but I am so disappointed. This place used to be good, was a good amount of food and was fairly priced. After Covid it seems it has gotten terrible. The picture I posted as the amount of food I was given for a pick up order that cost me $40 for 2 of these. The rice pilaf was basically rice with vermicelli noodles with zero flavor. The very small amount of veggies were on the side and also were bland. I was so upset at this rip off that I had to post. By the way they quoted me 35-40 mins which took every longer. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because I used to like them but They lost me as a customer.

Though the food had good flavor it is highly overpriced for the portions you get. My extremely small take out plate with only 4 small cubes of Lamb and a very small amount of veggies was just over $19. The meat is also a bit overdone which I had been warned so I ordered it medium rare in hopes to get medium but it was much closer to well done.
