The place is big. It’s more a resort than a hotel. Like any other place it has positives and negatives. There are multiple pools and they are fine, just crowded. And umbrellas and sun-beds are hard to come by. The beach area is also very crowded. Not appealing to me. Again, umbrellas and sunbeds are hard to get. And it was messy. People leave there discarded cups on the little plastic tables when they leave and there’s not a lot of cleaning up by personnel. The litter just blows off onto the sand. Besides the crowded water there are motorized boats nearby which is unappealing to me. The common areas like the lobby, the buffet restaurant, the bars, and outdoor restaurants all look very nice. They have the look you would expect from a Grecotel Hotel. The food at the buffet is hit or miss. Sometimes we were pleasantly surprised and sometimes confused how bad something as easy as scrambled eggs could be so bad. But generally the food is okay. The water park is a lot of fun for the kids. Its a big hit for sure even if it’s not that big. My family enjoyed it. The rooms are not great. Or at least mine wasn’t. I was actually quite surprised at how different they were compared to the look of the hotel. To me though my room was actually a good size with separate bedroom it was just rundown. And throughout the years the attempts to make repairs and paint jobs were done sloppily. Another issue I had with the room was the curtains. They only had a heavy curtain to block out the sun but not the usual second curtain to let sun in but also give privacy. Out room, like many others, was next to the pool and a restaurant and our choice was to leave the curtain open and have no privacy or to close it and have no sunlight. That was just odd. Also the building where my unit is located has a lot of bird nests and birds. I would not have thought that would bother me but there is a lot of droppings on walls and floors that is unappealing. It’s not what I expect from a Grecotel hotel. Kind if makes me wonder if my perception of the brand is realistic. If this hotel/resort was prices right I would say that it is a 3.5 out of 5. But given that it is so expensive, at least my room was, I would say this hotel for me would be a 2.5 out of 5. The bottom line is that although I had a good time at Grecotel Marine Palace I did not feel I got my money’s worth. I feel I could have done better elsewhere. And I would not re-book here in the future.

The rooms are not well isolated. The resort itself is very good, there are multiple pools and sport courts. I wish there were some adult only activities during the evening/night. The a la carte menu at the Marine Bay club was very disappointing and I recommend going to the Blue Tavern. It's quite well located and the village next to it is lovely.

Great food Greek cuisine (obviously), Italian, French and more, even for them vegans. Excellent service, friendly staff and everyone speaks English. Lot of facilities, beach, pools, aquapark. Very kid friendly. Daily activities like disco or aqua aerobics.

It is a fantastic all-inclusive hotel in a great location. The staff were all amazingly helpful, and the food was first class. We would definitely consider returning her if we go to Crete again.

Great staff, excellent facilities for grownups and kids, surrounded by non stop delicious "food events"!! We had a great time in a clean and secure environment as well. All the above, make us dream of our next visit! Thank you for making our vacations unforgettable!

We had an amazing holiday in the Grecotel Marine Palace. The food was beautiful - there was so much choice and it was all fresh. The cocktails and drinks were lovely and all served in glasses which I thought was very civilised. The room was comfortable, clean and very modern. The pools were clean and not too busy and we could easily aquire sunbeds every day. We loved the nearby beach and our children thoroughly enjoyed the water park. The hotel is well situated with lots to do nearby and good options for hiring a car and going on excursions. However, the thing that made this holiday the most enjoyable for me was the friendliness of the staff. They were helpful, courteous and cheerful at all times. Thank you so much for making this one of my favourite holidays ever!

An all inclusive resort that caters for a variety of tastes and flavours. Many pools, water park with slides, the beach and areas with loungers to relax. Water sports on offer as well. Buffet Meals are all of a high standard and a huge variety available. Rooms are fantastic. You cannot fault them

Great hotel with all inclusive. several pools, large area. More intended for families with children. Location quiet village Panormo. The room is clean and nice. everything available for small children. The staff is responsive and kind. A place to relax for the whole family. Entertainment options even for the smallest ones who are still crawling. Sufficient choice of food

Excellent hotel with service among the best we have experienced. Excellent and varied food with a high awareness of gluten-free food with guidance from the chef. A very spacious room facing the sea was excellent for us. An excellent water park suitable for all ages. The girls from the entertainment team are lovely and our kids really enjoyed the activities at the kids club. Highly recommended, we will be back

We are amazed especially with the service (TOP) and the food. Food is amazing, high quality, there is everything you need. There was no dish that we wouldn’t recommend. Hotel is big and spacious- never feeling that there is too many people, aquapark and the yellow slide are so much fun.

Everything was incredible, the food options are endless. You just can't be hungry enough! An all inclusive resort but with the service and vibe of a very exclusive one! The best part though was the staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nice and they genuinely wanted you to feel comfortable. Loved absolutely everything, will be definitely revisiting even though we are locals.

Everything is good in this place : service, teams (love the waiters with the mustachos), lots of families with very good vibes, the place, the food…. We spent 11 purfect days and again thanks to all the Team members (cleaning, dining, bars tenders 🤓, beach tenders….) : smiling, customers oriented, always the extra miles. Great place to have a family vacations all inclusive ! Maybe crowded in July but well organized, clean and safe. The guest service and the food are really excellent!! Fitness and kids activities daily! Kids club with prepared professionals and many languages options this programme being included in the hole package it is really very convenient and a good option to have free time to do some sport. Varied infraestructure Volley, tennis, ping pong, gym and spa facilities. Worthy for spending familly vacations!

We had a wonderful holiday here in early April 2023. The service and friendly staff was really fantastic and all the staff was always happy to help. First impressions were of a very fine hotel with marble and luxury but the rooms are basic but comfy beds and a good strong shower. We also had issues with our door locks but after reporting the issue they quickly fixed it for us. There are three outdoor pools which were not heated so you need a warmer day to go swimming. There are life guards at the water park and the main pool and the beach but not at the other pools. This may change with the session. There is one indoor heated pool which was really good but the floor gets slippy and there was no life guard. The restaurants, 3 of them, all have a buffet style service. The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and although they have the favourites each time they also mix up the dishes to keep it interesting. There is also many kids events, discos and games available for all the family. It also takes about 1.5hrs transfer from Chania Airport. We would return again and would like to do it during the warmer months if we can find a good deal on the price.

We stayed here for the last 7 days and are on our way home now. We loved this hotel. Our 2 young girls throughly enjoyed the water park and different swimming pools in the main hotel grounds. The facilities are great. Clean and well kept condition. Good food with a huge selection. But mainly, it was the staff that made our trip. Friendly, helpful, nothing too much trouble, service with a smile. That’s the reception staff, the waiters/waitresses, bar staff, room cleaners, even the guy making the crepes. Everyone so friendly. Thanks to everyone, will definitely see you again.

Great place for vacation! Comfortable, cosy and clean rooms as well as the whole resort area. Easily accessible and children friendly beach. Waterpark for both small and older children. Delicious food which is hard to resist 😋 And very friendly personnel. It's the second time we came here (after 5 years) and we wouldn't hesitate to come back again! Big thanks to all the warmhearted people who operate the resort 🙏🏻

It's a great place with kids. They have a daycare and entertainment program 6 days a week. Lots of swimming pools for every taste and of course the big attraction is the Aqua Park. We only ate at the buffet in the main restaurant and it was good with a mix of local and international dishes every day. I would recommend renting a car and also going around the island on day trips.

Very efficient all inclusive resort. Good branded drinks available throughout. Clean and well run. Biggest complaint would be that the main restaurant is so good that the other allegedly a la carte bookable restaurants are then shown up.

Super place. So many families. Service is really good, food is delicious. All soft drinks and most of the alcohol drinks are included in all inclusive. We had two rooms. On one room air condition didnt work and another room had small ants wandering on floors. Waterpark was great. There was all kind of slides for everyone.

Nice Hotel, located in the small village of Panormo. Friendly and multilingual people at the front desk for check -in and your individual problems/trouble etc. I'd always prefer the "old part" which is the hotel itself and all the way down to the beach, because the rooms (family double rooms) are bigger and more comfortable than the new areas which uphill on the other side of the street. The pools were very cold for a "child friendly" hotel (~23°C), even the ocean was warmer in September 2022, the aqua park contains some slides for old and young, but at the kids tower the floor in the pool is broken and just covered with a layer, in my eyes a dangerous solution for visitors because sharp concrete floor pieces are all around in that pool. The beach is definitely the best place to stay, there is a beach bar for drinks, toilets, a shower free sun loungers under umbrellas. The beach is covered by a wall made of rocks that keep the oncoming waves low which is quite good for kids. We had no problems with other guests or the staff, all were friendly and relaxed. The old town of Panormo is around 500m by foot and offers you some charming pubs and restaurants and some groceries,a pharmacy and a lovely little harbor.

Fantastic resort. Food was amazing and service exceptional. Great for the kids too, with a dedicated, happy and very welcoming kids club team. The family disco every night they hosted was popular and loads of fun.

Great week at this place. Staff incredibly helpful. A small but nice beach. The loungers get taken early and generally free up in the afternoons. Great waterpark and good food with something for everyone. The complex and rooms are a bit dilapidated in places, but the maintenance people will fix any problems quickly if informed.

Very nice hotel with a lot of activities options for kids, nice beach with fishes, very good location, very good food... 1 star down for smoking allowed on the beach!! and almost everywhere in the hotel outside areas :(( Small advise - go for a sea view room. Overall very good option to go to with your kids.

Great value for money for the all inclusive 7nights, my girlfriend and I had a lovely relaxing time. The staff are wonderfully efficient, think that perhaps they might have been a bit run off their feet with the ratio of guests to staff. All the staff were so wonderful, and welcoming to us though!

We've just returned from a 10-day stay at the resort. We were a party of 9, children age range from 2-14 yrs and none of them was bored throughout the holiday. The resort seems to pride itself on offering the very best service. The staff are fantastic and nothing seems to be too much. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. The children's entertainment is brilliant, the staff are friendly, and the food is fantastic and plentiful. This Hotel/resort has definitely got the right balance to suit everyone's needs. The main bar is open until 1am and offers a range of cocktails as part of the all-inclusive package. The bungalows surround the swimming pools with little winding paths that meander between the reception's main building. It offers everything a family needs in order to enjoy their holiday to the max. The family-size rooms are very roomy and child-friendly, close to all the amenities including a fantastic aqua park. There is a Spa, endless opportunities to dine al fresco, numerous pools and a beautiful little private beach. Thank you so much to all the staff that made our holiday so enjoyable. We will definitely be back next year.

I visited the hotel this August and I would like to say that the hotel is really a nice place to stay. I also liked the food offer with a tasty and great variety of dishes. I can say "Bravo" to the local chef) And the staying there was really cool, nice hotel! I think to come back here again)

Absolutely fantastic. The rooms aren't super super modern but still great. Our family had an amazing time this last week, very friendly and courteous staff, great food options all day long and beautiful surroundings. I can imagine it's quite busy in summer, but at Easter it was very chilled and quiet, best time to go! If you are expecting true 5 star glitz and glamour then this isn't for you, but as a family friendly experience it is brilliant value. Thank you so much for having us. We will be back.
