When the food is so good you want to cry… This wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience and one of the best ever at that. We came in to eat our dinner early (well, early on Spain time), so we were the only ones there because it was 6:00pm. Augustino, who is the owner and a third generation chef, came right to our table and talked us through all the wonderful dishes he could custom make for us. Just listening to him lovingly describe the food and I knew it was going to be great. We had a few dietary restrictions which he was more than able to accommodate, he didn’t even bat an eye. The food was…well… beyond delicious. It’s one of my dreams to go to Napoli and eat Italian food there, and I realized I essentially got that tonight. It’s the kind of Italian food you eat that feeds that part of your soul you didn’t even realize was hungry. We spent a happy time chatting with him after we ate, and he even spoke to my son in English. We felt so welcome here and it’s just the sort of place you leave smiling on your face, in your heart, and definitely in your tummy.
