It's hard planning a 150 person party in a small country town with little options for food. Even harder when there are 8 different dietary restrictions (probably more) within your group of friends and family. Kenji's was over the top accommodating to provide us with all the information to make the best choices for our guests, they even went out of their way to package their food so it would stay fresh for the 2 hour drive to Brigeport from Reno! The food was delicious, the owners were so friendly, helpful and we are 100% happy with our choice.

Cute, clean, friendly. Got BBQ Chicken lunch with Mac salad and order of potstickers. So far, everything is delicious and there is enough for 2 meals. Prices are VERY reasonable. $10.95 for the Chicken plate and $5 for 6 potstickers. Highly recommend!

Overall: B+ Layout & decor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Customer service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Timeliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bathroom: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: had the spam tacos & they were really good! Wish I had also ordered the spam fried rice but that’s for another time. They got my order out pretty decently quick given it was lunch. Wish they had more spam in the tacos but the taste was good!!

Food is great, staff is nice. Long wait for food though. 2 pork tacos and an order of potstickers took 40 minutes. Only customization I asked for was no onions, and they ignored it. Long wait and order not right gives it 3 stars.

Kenji's is an absolute gem that I recently had the pleasure of experiencing, and let me tell you, it was a culinary journey like no other. From start to finish, my dining experience at Kenji's was nothing short of extraordinary. I decided to indulge in the BBQ Hawaiian Beef with rice and salad, and I must say, it was a taste sensation that left me craving more. The succulent beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, complemented by the delightful tang of the barbecue. The flavors melded together in a symphony of deliciousness that I couldn't resist. In fact, the dish was so incredibly appetizing that I devoured every last bite before even thinking of capturing a photo for this review—a true testament to the incredible quality and flavor that Kenji's offers. Beyond the remarkable flavors, Kenji's provides an inviting and comfortable ambiance that adds to the overall dining experience. The attentive and friendly staff ensured that every need was met, delivering exceptional service from the moment I stepped through the door. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to provide recommendations added an extra touch of personalization to the evening. One of the standout aspects of Kenji's is their extensive menu, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Whether you're a fan of Asian-inspired cuisine or seeking a fusion of flavors, Kenji's has something to delight every palate. The variety and quality of their offerings truly set them apart. In conclusion, Kenji's deserves nothing less than a perfect five-star rating for their exceptional culinary creations. The BBQ Hawaiian Beef dish I enjoyed was a true masterpiece, leaving an indelible mark on my taste buds. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the attentive service, elevated the entire experience. If you're seeking a remarkable dining adventure that will tantalize your taste buds and create lasting memories, I wholeheartedly recommend Kenji's as a must-visit destination. Prepare to be captivated by their remarkable flavors and impeccable hospitality.

I don’t often get five stars for a restaurant review, but this particular establishment has been going on for over 11 years in various forms from the original food truck to their location in the airport area. The thing that stands out is their wonderful food quality, the rice, the chicken and the quantity of food they give you is awesome.

Kenjis is a great spot to eat! I've been a loyal follower and the fusion of Mexican and and Asian is a great concept. I've tried all of their items on the menu and the owners hinted at having seasonal specials! I tried the Japanese style curry, new on the menu and possibly a winter special so if you don't see it; you might have missed out! The burst of curry flavor definitely is apparent in a "I need more of this in my life" style. The Korean style taco really shows the best of both worlds and dont even get me started on the quesadilla! They have a sauce drizzled on top of the quesadilla that makes you want to have it on the side so you can control how much to add. I just dunk the whole thing in without shame. The owners really give this place the chill vibe that you can expect from them. I love the design of the interior! They have a mock of a taco truck right inside as soon as you walk in! Awesome place to eat and hang out!

Great time! Very friendly! Really cute decorating! I had the Hawaiian BBQ Beef lunch plate...it was quite a bit of food, and even my co-workers were asking to try it before I even opened it! I tried the coleslaw as my side, if that's your thing, I think you'll like theirs. I did! The beef was tender and flavorful! Again, the staff was very friendly. Thanks everyone! It was delicious, I'll be back to try some other stuff!

Tried three tacos from here today; pork, beef, and mushroom. The pork taco was out of this world, and the other two were good (though I'd order all pork before those two again). Also tried the musubi and it was as delicious as I'd remembered. Super friendly and fast service. I look forward to trying everything else on the menu.

The interior has an interesting and unique vibe that the staff keeps neat and spotless. The menu offers Hawaiian faire with some Japanese flair. I ordered the BBQ Chicken with extra sides of fried spam for that added Hawaiian experience. I plan on coming back, and while I'm at it, I will introduce Kenji's to family, friends, and co-workers as this is an experience they should not miss.

Food is great and priced very well. Have had the plate lunches which are classics. Had the fried noodles and it was amazing and under $10. Highly recommended, especially for lunch.

The food was delicious and the staff and service were so nice. The decor is so cute! The food also tasted like real Hawaiian. I would recommend coming here for a family lunch-dinner, or some friends. Overall, it was very delicious and me and my family had a delightful lunch. 😁🎉

They are super busy so don't expect to get your food fast however, it is well worth the wait! I had a beef taco and a pork taco. They were wonderful. I can not wait to go back.

I really don't understand the high reviews of this Hawaiian restaurant. The food is mediocre at best. Prices are great, but only if you don't mind the inferior cuts of meat. I ordered 3 items to go: the spam fried rice, beef udon noodles, and the BBQ chicken plate. The amount of BBQ chicken was great, but it's not like a tenderloin that's nicely grilled and sliced. The chicken was dry and burnt, and the pieces were chopped and not easily digestible - all uneven, hodgepodge pieces of chicken. The macaroni salad was just okay. The beef udon had a mayonnaise drizzle with ginger over the top of the noodles, which made it taste weird. Lastly, the spam fried rice was just a disappointment. The spam was brown, the rice was brown - the entire dish was brown. There was no color at all with very few bits of scrambled eggs. The rice needs to be fried on high heat with scrambled eggs and spam not swimming in soy sauce. Add some green onions and cilantro on top, while more vegetables need to be added while stir frying - onions, carrots, and peas. Bring some color to this dish, for heaven's sake! This was not a tasty fried rice - plentiful, but just not good, too bad! You honestly get a lot of food for the price, but you don't get the BANG for your buck on quality and taste, sorry! If you want to try quality Hawaiian food, try Loco Ono restaurant.

The beef and pork were very good. The beef was tastier, though. I love their macaroni salad and cole slaw

There really isn't much to say. Just the best. Good value, awesome food and the spirit of aloha hidden right here in Reno. Potstickers are delish and the tacos beat any in Reno, seriously they do.

This will be my last time coming here. Everytime I get burnt overcooked and dry AF chicken. It was so burnt that some of the chicken was inedible due to it being very bitter. Would not recommend.

Hawaii is one of my favorite places. Yes the views are amazing but the food is even better - and it’s hard to come by anywhere else except Hawaii. Kenji’s food is authentic, delicious, and heartwarming. If you’re missing Hawaii or just missing some great food, check out Kenji’s. The decor is so unique & top notch! It’s an awesome gem of a restaurant within Reno.
