The first thing that I noticed about the YMCA gym is how clean and well-maintained it is. The floors are always spotless, the equipment is always in good condition, and the locker rooms are always fresh and tidy. The staff at the YMCA gym is also amazing. They are always friendly and helpful, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to help you find what you need. One of the things that I love most about the YMCA gym is the sense of community. There are people of all ages and fitness levels at the gym, and everyone is always supportive and encouraging. I also love the variety of fitness classes that the YMCA gym offers. Whether you are looking for a high-intensity workout or a more relaxing yoga class, the YMCA gym has something for everyone. Overall, I am so impressed with the YMCA gym. It is a clean, well-maintained gym with a friendly and supportive staff. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to get fit and healthy.

This is the best place to exercise. They have everything you need to work out. They keep the place spotless! And it's decorated beautifully for almost every holiday and/or season. For example, Christmas time, the place looked amazing! I took pictures and shared them on Facebook, and no one could believe those pictures were at a gym! I would recommend this facility to anyone. The staff are very helpful, professional and supportive. I'm so happy to be a member.

Paying members($75.00 a month) will be kicked out and removed from building for wearing CLOSED toe shoes (toes that are visibly housed in a shoe) if they don’t have laces for “saftey” while people squat and deadlift in their socks. Staff and director can’t explain the rules they enforce and get angry and short when you offer reason. They pick and choose what rules to enforce while prowling the weight room creepily staring at you. They don’t enforce wiping down equipment at all, floors and equipment are filthy. At this ymca you will pay $75.00 every 30 days to be treated like a dog by a lemming who doesn’t know anything about healthy lifestyle. Rules without reason breed conformity to oppression!

It's a very nice facility with a great staff. I only have 2 real issues. Their hours are frustrating on Fridays and Sundays. The weekend when. We have the most free ability to go on the weekend Friday after work and Sunday, which is likely the car for any family with a common work schedule. The other issue is this bizarre pool policy for the kids, every 30 minutes to an hour they kick all the kids out of the pool. I've had 3-4 different reasons why, but 2 of them said it was for a pee break for the children. However, all the children just sit at the edge of the pool. Absolutely none go to the bathroom, ever. I've heard more than a few explosion they are peeing at that edge and some in the pool followed by hushing from their parents. Either way it's a useless role that only inconveniences the parents and disrupts the fun the kids are having.

We joined solely for my daughter to take swim lessons, with the entire family joining later. The lessons have been going great, Christian is the best instructor and my daughter has been really enjoying learning with him. The downside is communication from the staff at the desk, we won't be joining as a family just because of how little we feel welcomed and get information as a new member, everytime we go in I learn something new that I wasn't told from the get go and also never received a tour. Another thing we find odd is the strictness of the pool and the 5 minute breaks, also don't understand roping off the toddler slide after like 7pm, never been to a pool with so many rules, it's not fun for my kids at all.

This facility has everything I am looking for—weights, pool, hot tub and cardio equipment. When I was at the pool, there was a lot of staff and they did a great job monitoring this area. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I’ve had a great experience there.

We workout here 3x a week and have tried some fitness classes as well. We've been very happy with our experience and plan to stay members indefinitely. Staff is very friendly and helpful, location is clean and well maintained, and the hours are convenient.

It offers a lot more than treadmills and weights. I love the classes they offer! I am currently attending Step & Strength class every Monday and Zumba every Monday and Wednesday. The building is also huge which is why they offer swimming classes, a sauna, a hot tub, locker rooms, a basketball court, a weight room, and so much more! There is so much activities into one building and I love that about Haselwood Family YMCA! Highly recommend it to everyone :)

I have had the pleasure of being a Y member but this facility is by far the best. I am motivated to go and workout. The steam room/sauna is large. The staff is friendly and the machines have been available.

I’ve been an off and on member of the Y for sometime now. It’s gotten very pricey and if it weren’t for the family plan with my S/O I wouldn’t have rejoined. That said, the equipment is great and I look forward to the new additions but the staff at the front desk leave a lot to be desired. It takes at least three people to accomplish anything other than watching me scan in. I don’t know what the criteria for hiring is nor do I know the training process but the simplest things seem to be quite the struggle. I have used the child watch a few times now and it is the slowest most difficult process ever. The first two times it took 3 employees to execute the process. I was charged 50 dollars one time after explicitly asking for a drop in, not a monthly membership. My money was gone so fast yet a supervisor who wasn’t there had to approve it being given back to me. It was then credited to my account for future use. The next time I went to use the he child watch service, I said I’d like to use my credit. At this point, it took again 3 employees to figure out that it had been taken to pay my monthly bill. YMCA….train your people to use the systems you’ve put in place!!! I cringe every time I want to use the child watch. It shouldn’t be this difficult!!

This Y is very clean and well taken care of. The staff are super helpful and always kind. They offer many classes and workouts from cooking and rock climbing for kids and basketball to yoga for adults. You can always find something active to be doing here. The pool is large and has a lazy river, kiddy slide, and larger slide; as well as a spacious hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Well worth the cost of the membership!

The YMCA is a huge part of our family activities throughout the year. There are lessons for the kids and classes for everyone. We enjoy the Haselwood branch because it is more spacious and feels less crowded than the Tom Taylor/Gig Harbor branch.

I still give this place four stars even though I'm sure i caught COVID here but it isn't their fault. They can't follow everyone around to be sure they are cleaning their machines properly after use. Just be vigilant and clean before and after. Some people seem to not care for others. So be sure and take care of yourself. I can't wait though till i build up my strength and stamina so i can join in on some of the classes. I wanna wait cuz i don't wanna pass out during class lmao. Wouldn't that be funny lol. I still do recommend this place. Can't wait to try ALL amenities. Will be fun

I love this place! Staff is always friendly and helpful, even if I have a complaint/concern. I've been coming here since 2018 and feel like it's money well spent. My kiddos have participated in many classes and one sport and my whole family is pleased with the experiences. I like the selection of equipment and am very thankful for the steam room.

I love the Y! The instructor lead classes are my favorite. The pool, sauna and weights are my husbands fav. We are inspired to return weekly because of the variety in workout options offered. It is always clean and staff friendly and helpful too. Others are also respectful of space and equipment and cleaning in between machine usage. I appretiate the fact the Y doesn't blast music over a PA but rather, if you want tunes, you can use your ear buds. The Y may charge a little more than some gyms but you are getting so much bang for your buck, it is absolutely worth every penny.

Employees are very helpful. The rates are extremely expensive. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income I am unable to afford the membership

This place feels like home to my family! We have been members since before they opened and they have watched my kids grow up from toddlers to now teens. The service they provide and the quality of staff are amazing and unforgettable

Pretty nice facility. My only qualm is the Family Locker room for the pool is way to cold for babies and small children. Kids are water going into a highly AC area is a recipe for disaster. Also, during peak hours there's not enough rooms for families to change. There has been a few times where I have seen couples or individual adults using the family locker rooms instead of using the actual locker rooms causing bottleneck times as well

I would give them a 5 star rating if it weren't for the fact of the numerous times that we have asked to have the music turned on for the area next to the physical therapy office in the weight machine section. I have talked to several different staff at the front desk, and no one seems to care enough to look into it or give an explanation on why they can't do it. Yesterday, I asked again as I walked in the door as it was clear the music simply wasn't on at all, and by the time I left 45 minutes later, nothing had changed. Music really helps to keep me focused, drowns out some of the background noise, and prevents me from becoming bored, which makes me want to leave the facility faster. I have also pleaded with them to put something, anything on the very blank walls that we sit a few feet from and stare at as we work out.
