We got recommended to go here and it did not disappoint. What an awesome little food stand with super friendly people. They also serve the best rum punch we've had on the island!

It is nature and good food at its finest. Anchored across from the beach with great cutters loaded or regular on board. Wash it down with a variety of soft drinks, beers or rum/ rum punch of course. Loaded: egg and a variety if toppings. The Caboose team is always super friendly and helpful. Stop on by for a good cutter and friendly vibes!

On the beach. Great fish cutters and very good rum punches! Passed it several times before we stopped in. Should have been our first stop! Staff is very friendly and appreciative.

This place is great. It's open, Al Fresco, tropical and breezy. LAID BACK and most importantly - BAJAN 🇧🇧 I stopped by for take away recently and the location itself is great. This is Bajan culture at its finest - liking under a mango tree by a beautiful beach surrounded by good people. They serve our national fish and it's delicious. My fish cutter was packed and well presented. They have everything you need. I saw a rigged up hand washing station, napkins (Bajan blue) and Rum Punches. Certainly will be back.

Best fish cutter on the island. Delicious & with a very generous portion of fish - that said I’d recommend to order double fish on a fully loaded cutter.. Mama Mia it’s good. Excellent rum punch too. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely spot. Excellent customer service. Love the idea of the loaded salad so people don’t have to eat the bread. My only suggestion is to consider selling locally made juices, in particular golden apple and mango or anything made from local fruits. On my next visit I will have the rum punch

A victim of its own success. There was live entertainment on the Sunday I went and the place was crowded, no where to sit. I waited in the food queue for 35 minutes before my order was taken, then another 60 minutes before delivery. In that time we managed to secure a table and after a couple of rum punches, time just disappeared. The fish cutters arrived and were well presented, my "Anglo Saxon" companions delighted in the flavours but for me it was just "home food"; my dad makes a variation from his island. If you have an afternoon to kill I'd recommend it, but don't visit when you're hungry as you may faint from starvation before your order arrives 😉

Amazing fish cutters - tender juicy fish, fried egg, soft chewy bread, flavorful sauces. I’m not usually big on sandwiches but we went back three times in a week to have them at the caboose.

Idyllic spot for drinks/food. Caboose is overlooking the sea, such a great little stop off. We personally just had a few Banks beers, but the food smelt good. They sell cutters/fries...typical kind of beach snack. Staff are very friendly, will certainly be back.

Excellent cutter sandwich with a lovely rum punch. Cool spot by the beach and service with a smile. Go early though as the cutters are likely to sell out!

Best fish cutters in Barbados! Sit and relax under the trees, and order yourself a fish cutter. I had the "fully loaded", which included cheese and a fried egg. Utterly delicious! Don't expect things to move quickly, they're not fast food, but good food. Well worth the trip.

It's a shack-boat eatery on the corner of Sand Street and a bit of a Speightstown/Barbados institution but The Caboose is a great place to eat, drink and enjoy a Bajan vibe. The menu is limited (basically fish cutters) but they're excellent fish cutters! The staff are friendly and you'll come away with a smile on your face. It opens Wednesday to Sunday afternoon, with live music, particularly on Sunday lunchtime. Hopefully, the redevelopment of the long-abandoned Almond Beach Resort just across the way into a swish new Sandals resort will not detrimentally affect The Caboose. One tip: seating (particularly in the shade) can be a bit limited so if you have a beach chair it might be wise to bring it with you.

Well, this joint serves up some seriously tasty grub – that fish cutter? Absolute mouthwatering perfection! The fish itself? Moist, flavorful, swimming in just the right amount of sauce to keep things interesting. And hey, calling all tomato enthusiasts! They’re tossing those juicy red orbs into every cutter and sandwich on the menu, a rarity on this island! Plus, to top it all off, they’ve got live tunes adding to the ambiance. It’s like a flavor fiesta with a side of groove – count me in for round two!

Best fish cutter so far. Really moist fish cooked just right. Better than the snapper I had at The Fish Pot which was overcooked ! V friendly place, quick service, decent prices.

This Speightstown gem serves up delectable fish cutters, fully loaded with a fried egg and cheese, and the best (biggest) rum punch on the island. Eat here if you like an eatery with a floor composed entirely of sand and seating arrangements fashioned from discarded lumber.

A MUST! No frills place for fish sandwiches (cutters). The regular with ketchup and mayo is outstanding. It’s a casual place to eat while overlooking the beautiful clear blue water.

Great food and music. Atmosphere overall was exceptional. We got the fish cutter and was excellent except too much mayo for our taste. A DJ came and played music for us from his own voice. Rum Punch was also excellent. Really enjoyed the experience and great service. Our server was very friendly and answered all our questions. Fish was very good and tasteful. All of us enjoyed a lot! Also very short waiting time for wonderful food! 😃

Great to experience a Fish Cutter here in Barbados. The Caboose is a popular spot so expect a 20-30 minute wait for your order during busy periods. Well worth the wait though.

Easily accessible, good spot to spend 1-2 hours with kids and family … good view, shaded seating area with breeze and perfect view of sea.. around 15 mins walking distance from speightstown main shop area.. kids friendly!! Offcourse delicious loaded fish cutter!

Loved the fish cutters from here. Got all sauces mixed, mayo, tomato and pepper sauce. As they recommended that. It was very good. The rum punch is really refreshing. There is a great atmosphere here and they has a guy playing steel drums, which really added to it. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Great spot to go to the beach after and go for a swim.

The Caboose is a great place to have lunch and a drink. Food was excellent. Fish cutter sandwiches. They had live music. The place was packed but the line went fast. Lots of parking up and down the road. After lunch we spend the day accross the road at the beach. A very nice beach also, and we jumped off the old pier. Kids had a great time.

Best Cutter on the island. Went twice during my trip with two different fish of the day menus and both were insanely delicious. It’s a no frills kind of place but great food, great views and very nice staff.

I'd happily visit Caboose every day if I could! Fantastic fish cutter in a lovely location under the trees by the beach. Great music, cold beer and the food was prepared quickly even though they were busy. Put this place on your list when visiting Speightstown.

Great and fun rum shop/sandwich place. We had the Mahi Mahi sandwich and I can say it was the freshest tasting piece of fish we had during our stay on the island. The salt bread for the sandwich tender, good rum punch and surprisingly great service. Great value.

A must have on your list for Barbados. We came here for lunch with our 3 and 6 year old. The place was packed and there was live music. The staff was so attentive and helped us find a spot in the shade. The fish cutters were amazing. We got them with all the sauces and one plain for our kids. Everyone was so impressed. The rum punch was amazing and they have beers as well. Come if you’re looking for a super laid back atmosphere and a delicious fish sandwich. I think we will go again this trip :)

Went today and I must say it’s the best fish cutter on the island, go for the deluxe version with egg and cheese OUTSTANDING! Flavourful the fish was perfect . The young gentleman that were serving were outstanding they were polite and friendly and they managed the tables very well. This will be a must stop for our group when ever we’re in the area on future vacations.

This is a can’t miss! Best cutter sandwich on the island. Very reasonably priced and beyond delicious. We went back 3 times! Kayla, and the whole team that works there is awesome. Only advice is to make sure to go before 3pm because they often run out of fish by then (because the sandwiches and salads are so frigging good). Make sure to get it loaded and don’t skip on the rum punch!

Had the loaded fish cutter with hot sauce and it didn't disappoint, bit of a wait but it was pretty busy and when the sun's out and you've gotta beer in hand it isn't a problem. Will definitely be back 👌

You won’t regret it if you spend half your holiday here. Great bar, great service, great food. The rum punch is very good, but you can also just order a bottle of rum and a coke. The food is also great as well as the live music. If I could change one thing about this place, I wouldn’t.

Really great place to meet with friends or have an outdoor meeting. Great service, lovely local cuisine and for sure, the rum punch goes down nicely at any time of day. Thanks guys, we will be back in a few months. Blessed love, Jules and Jen.

Went twice - great hospitality and quality. First time, Mahi, spot on, loaded with egg. Second time, Amber, looks like fish was lukewarm (precooked?) and was two small nuggets versus a nice filet. Hot sauce is great but they don’t have bottles on the tables (they are a little skimpy on this). Want to give it 5 stars but thinking this is 3.5/4.

Fish Cutters to DIE for!! Best ones we had in Barbados! The rum punch tasted insane as well! Top tip..get there around opening as they tend to sell out pretty quickly!

  • 4/5 Pickles S. 8 months ago on Google • 9 reviews
At first seeing it on Instagram I was not impressed, then I saw the video again two months later and the packaging caught my eye. I drove from silver sands to st.peter ( far as hell) I got there and service was instant and not a long time to wait for my cutter. The bun was just perfect and NOT DRY, and the Amber Fish was cooked nice. Honestly, after eating one it was NOT enough, you really do need two. I also had the rum punch, which is not my thing, but good flavours was in it. For sure the cutters are worth the trip but petrol vs cutter well we can debate on that one. Thanks for the cutter I will come again, BUT when is the answer 🚘 vs 🥪😜

Just fabulous! Tasty, good price, great location and atmosphere. Fish cutters $17bds or a bit more for fully loaded (with egg and cheese). Beers were $6bds. Good music and vibes. There was a live band on one visit. Definitely make this a stop on your trip - not to be missed!

  • 5/5 Amanda D. 11 months ago on Google • 6 reviews
Absolutely fantastic!! Great service, amazing fish cutters - so fresh, so tasty!!! I love the atmosphere and how they have repurposed the boat as a kitchen. The prices are affordable too. 10/10 would recommend! Thanks for the awesome experience. I have also heard rave reviews from other friends.

My husband and I stopped by today. The service was over the top great!!! They were smiling, dancing and chatting with us as they took our order. The fish cutter sandwich was the best we have ever had! The rum punch was yummy!! We will most likely be back…tomorrow! Great job!!

There was a little wait, but it didn’t matter because the food served was so tasty. The fish cooked to perfection, the sauces and salad melding with the cheese and bun to create a tasty bite every time. I’m tempted to buy another to go…

They are cash only! Parking was really easy for us (just parked opposite). Great fish cutters at an amazing price (17 bbd for the regular cutter of the day as of Dec 2024). Amazing service as per usual. Also sell beers. Multiple seating options (with umbrellas) available nearby. Just try and check they are definitely open before you make the journey down.

Cabosse is a great place to just relax, and watch the world go by. The tranquility, loaded fish cutters, beverages, and serenity of the place, is way beyond your imagination. Wayne, the owner/ host and his fantastic staff are the bench mark for excellent service in Barbados.

Having just been to the Caboose for the first time today, we can see why this place is so highly rated! Just a simple converted boat for a kitchen and a few tables and chairs in a patch of ground off the roadside, this place is the Caribbean dream for me more than any of the fancy resteraunts down the road. The best rum punch I've had and absolutely delicious fish cutters (fish in a bun). Right next to a decent swimming beach. Loved it.

  • 5/5 Orietta B. 2 years ago on Google
The fishcutter was amazing. It was my first meal in Barbados and i can never forget it. The spot where this little boat is perfect. Just by the beach. Not to miss if you are in Speightstown or passing by... must try it

Great local food that our entire family enjoyed. Staff are friendly and location is great - right by the beach. We drove past this place most days and it was always busy and attracted lots of repeat business. Rum punch is potent and an absolute necessity if visiting :)

  • 5/5 jon w. 1 year ago on Google
Great experience. Fish Cutters and a beer! Great team and how they work in that kitchen and produce what they do consistently. Didn't think you could beat the Mahi Mahi fish but Tuna . Blows it out of the water. Actually what ever the fish of the day is spectacular. Locals and tourists all love this spot. Final comment, how they know where everything is in teh chest freezer of ice is a trick in itself. Go. you will not regret it!

Very dissapointed in service. I was left fuming and had to resist using some colourful language. They got the order for my son's cutter wrong...we ordered without pepper...they brought it with pepper (nuff)...when I complained ( before even taking a bite) their solution was that I was wrong and would need to buy another one. The manager guy tried to placate me after the fact, having already complained to him and the lady that took my order....with an empty promise to treat me good of I come back. They couldnt even scrape off the pepper and give me a new bun. Wont find me back here again.
