I come in here almost every day since I work in the area. Great vanilla latte. But I’ve always been really disappointed by the majority of the staff here. Look and act like they don’t want to be here and are rude more often than not.

Delicious bagel sandwiches! Loved their jalapeño bagel with egg and cheese. Cute and cozy small coffee shop.

I liked the coffee here. A good place to have a light breakfast. Bagel with egg was nice.

I usually don’t write reviews but…The food and coffee were fine but the service was awful. The baristas were mean and I payed for so much on my sandwich and didn’t even get bacon on my bacon egg and cheese. We were so nice to them and They were mean and unpleasant to us for no reason. :(

A very cozy place right on Boylston street. This store is very close to the Hynes convention center. It’s a nice place to grab a warm latte and get a book or a laptop and be in your own world happily and undisturbed. The prices are worth the dishes served so no complaints. The interiors are very well thought out I must say.

Good coffee and bagle. Staffs were very friendly. The coffee taste soft not strong. I had bagle with everything and found that one is salty.

Bustling neighborhood and this place has all your favorite coffee variations. Decaf fans need to wait for a special batch though.

I am not exaggerating when I say that the iced latte I had here is the best iced latte I have EVER had!

Coffee is awesome but food is terrible.

Meh. Pretty limited, couldn't do nonfat latte. Didn't have any flavor options that were sugar free. No decaf except espresso. Wasn't looking for a Starbucks level menu but had hoped for more than bare bones. People were nice, though.

The cashier was super sweet and accommodating. The service was relatively quick and my frozen vanilla chai was good. I also had a jalapeno bagel with cream cheese and pepper jelly.

Too busy worried about our masks covering every centimeter of our face that they can’t get an order right. Won’t be coming back.

Brew was average, but the vegan banana-raspberry loaf was BOMB. Be prepared to wait on your order.

Music was awful, staff were slow as, then they messed up the order. Na.

Good tasting coffee. It's delicious actually. Cookie was a banger. Super yummy. Only complaint is the bagels are a bit chewy. No real strength when you bite into them. I don't toast bagels so keep that in mind. But overall, nice place. Would def return.

Came here with 5 of us. Food was ok, they messed up a simple order 2 times and forgot an order and then messed that up too. There was maybe 5 people in the whole place so being busy definitely wasn't an excuse. I get rules are rules but telling me to wear a mask at the table in between eating or drinking and that we could only sit for 20 minutes after we paid how much money for breakfast? Now we're just making our own rules up.. just pick any other place in the area and save your time. Yes there are signs that say this in the restaurant but they actively enforce this so i guess if you don't care about this, then try it out. I personally wanted to sit down with my family to enjoy a breakfast without any other interference. Seems like they were more worried about making their customers follow rules then paying attention to the orders they took.. Again, food was good, coffee wasn't great. If you don't mind what i said above, then give it a go. Wouldn't come back here though personally.

Hands down one of the most beautifully-tasting lattes I’ve ever had: the Cinnamon Fig Latte. And the foam! Like drinking a cloud with the most amazing flavors. Great atmosphere with lots of seating and lovely live plants everywhere. Looked like a lot of food options but only got the drink. Dropped a star for service - very impersonal and nearly rude about answering any questions, etc.

They have vegan cream cheese options as well as a unique variety of other flavors (lemon dill, salted honey butter, hababero). Bagels are made in house, filling but not overly dense. Vegan cream cheese was good. Tequila sunrise sandwich was awesome. I got a cortado with cream. They allowed me to customize with no problem. The drip coffee is excellent. Counter culture is fair trade, rich and balanced. The atmosphere here was relaxed and cozy. I saw people dressed up and down so all seem welcomed. Good, solid coffee place with great food options.

Had the cinnamon and fig latte, it was the best latte I've ever had!

Great place for a coffee and a bagel. Maybe a dozen of tables at the back of the shop, 2 hrs free WiFi. Plenty of bagel combinations to choose from and a selection of bagels. Around $8 for a bagel.

I got my food it was mediocre. 10$ breakfast sandwiches in person, but online it says 5.75. Such a price difference & the sandwiches are not even made with real eggs. I asked for multigrain bagel they gave me a multigrain-everything bagel. Those are 2 different bagels and if they are combined into one bagel that should’ve been made clear. I do not like sea-same seeds or whatever extra comes with everything bagels. So that sandwich was a waste and i only realized when i got back to the hospital. The service was pretty quick, and the environment is nice and hip giving it its 2 stars.

The drip coffee is the best I’ve had in the Fenway area! The plain and everything bagels with cream cheese were delicious and the bagel texture was just right.

I would give this place a million stars if I could. I have gone to pavement consistently for 3.5 years and the employees have always been kind, generous, and talented people. This year, I had some rough situations and because I went there so often, many of the employees knew me by name. I had to leave Boston very suddenly but I just wanted to say thank you and I love you all very much. You all helped me so much on sad days and I looked forward to seeing every one of you. I wish I could've dropped $100000 in the tip jar and I wish I could've said goodbye in person, you guys are wonderful people and life will take you guys so far!!! Thank you so much to everyone who worked there in the past and who currently works there, you guys made my days in Boston something to look forward to. Ps: the hot vanilla latte with oat milk and the plain bagel with vegan butter will always be superior. <3 ~Mae.

A staple of the Berklee community! Provides a warm and comfortable space with a range of seating and lighting choices. It's one of the more expensive spots, but great for a bagel sandwich! I spilled an entire coffee all over their floor and one of their managers(?) very graciously mopped it up after giving me a fresh cup of coffee!! I was so embarrassed but she made me feel very welcome!

We rushed to get there at 3:45 PM before they closed at 4. We ordered two chai lattes and two other lattes. The barrista took 15 minutes to make the drinks and served us only one chai latte at 4 rather than the two we ordered. When we told the barrista we ordered two, he told us the ticket only had one Chai latte on it so we promptly told him and the other servers that we ordered two Chai lattes and were willing to pay for the second one. We were rudely told by Will several times that they were now closed and there was nothing they could do. Long story short, we paid for the cashier's error, and got to experience first hand poor customer service and poor problem solving by Will, the server/cashier. The one Chai latte we had was watery too. It is a pretty place marred by the uneducated and unsophisticated employees.

the wait times are long and the staff will ignore you. don’t order gluten free bread if you really have celiac because they won’t toast it. sandwiches and coffee are good though. they also automatically apply a tip even though the service is pretty bad

Cute venue, I will say that, the baristas were lovely — my cappuccino however was gritty and not good, it’s also took me about 10 min to get it when there was no one ahead of me...location and venue are prime coffee not so much :/

Service was okay. Our group of six wasn’t allowed in at the same time, when we were outside there were more than six customers that entered and weren’t told to wait outside. They made a couple mistakes with our order, But they fixed it. Overall a okay experience, food was great coffee was good.

Pavement is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Their bagel sandwiches are top-notch and the coffee is excellent too. Also plenty of seating to hang out, with excellent wifi. All in all, highly recommended.

This is what Starbucks used to be. Couple of quirks in the menu, they need to expand and explain. But not bad.

It was the first time my boyfriend and I came here. We were excited to try this place for the first time, but the person at the register was not friendly and he seemed like he just wanted to get my order over with. Granted it was busy, but I still think customer service matters even when it’s busy. I got my simple order, which was just a tea, and said thank you anyways. My boyfriend then ordered a coffee and bagel, but they forgot one of his orders and the staff hastily put together the order to go. The food was fine, but my boyfriend and I do not plan on returning to this place because it was very unwelcoming. Please encourage staff to use better customer service skills so other people will have a better experience.

Although they're roasting their own beans now (or someone is in their name), the beans aren't particularly interesting nor flavorful, a bit muddy. At least when the shop was busy, they didn't do a particularly good job pulling an espresso. They got grinds into the cup and let the brewed spro sit more than I'd prefer before decanting it into the ceramic cup. At least they were willing and able to serve it in a real cup!

VEGAN OPTIONS - Yes Stopped in super close to closing time. Got an Orange Chiffon Latte with oat milk and no cream. It was delicious! No sugar needed. New location within a corporate building, but with it's own individual entrance. Super friendly staff. I would totally come back again.

When the counter person can't answer simple questions and has food in his mouth while talking and taking orders, you can tell service is not a priority. Service was slow and the bagel was mediocre. But the latte was delish, so they get a 2 star for that.

I usually order on the ritual app but they’re always missing something from the order and then when I get my sandwich fixed, it comes out looking like this and it ends up being cold so then it becomes not quite worth the money 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had to find somewhere to leave this review because my latte was so good. Hub got a bagel and that looked awesome too.
