This Branch of The Ivy is over rated in my experience. We placed our orders about 20 minutes after arrival. The starters arrived in reasonable time. Although the hot starters arrived first and we had to wait quite a bit for the two cold starters. After this, we waited another 75 minutes for our main courses. There were 7 in our party. No orders were special orders and 5 orders were for their signature dishes. When they arrived we waited 10 more minutes for the vegetables to arrive for 4 of the orders. Meals were acceptable but not anything special and definitely not worth the price. This restaurant charges separately for vegetables and gives nothing else without an extra charge so don't expect bread on the table or any other niceties like olives or balsamic and olive oil. We did order dessert. All of which were ice creams. 20 minutes later we decided to cancel dessert as we didn't want to waste any more time. Strangely enough the desserts arrived then with the lower ice cream scoops melting. To be accurate and fair, they removed the dessert charges from the Bill but this experience has put us off this Ivy branch. Oh, forgot to say that the vegetables were untrimmed green beans and luke warm broccoli. The whole meal took just under 3 hours. Plenty of waiting staff but the kitchen seemed to mix up or delay orders, even within the same table. Not impressed.

First time at The Ivy and I was not disappointed. All the dishes were delicious and of course well presented. It was great value as well 💷 Definitely worth going and will return. Update September 09 2022: Second time to visit here. Great service. Food was good. *BUT* As it was raining, the table had rainfall on it. Upon looking up, it was clear this was a problem that had occurred before. I had paid so I had not option and was offered to move. Would have liked a e-mail address to offer my opinion. My guests I had not seen for 2 years and 9 months due to COVID. So I will sadly be not returning again

My experience at Restaurant Ivy in Cobham last night was truly enchanting. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance swept us off our feet. The entire establishment is a masterpiece of beauty, adorned with an array of captivating flowers and captivating artwork that graced the walls. The delicate scent of perfume lingering in the air added an extra touch of elegance. We were fortunate to secure a table for two on the terrace, nestled in a serene corner amidst lush greenery and blossoming flowers. The setting was nothing short of picturesque, creating a romantic and idyllic atmosphere that perfectly complemented our evening. The service we received was both impeccably professional and swift. The staff attended to our every need with a warm and welcoming demeanor, enhancing the overall dining experience. When it came to the food, we were in for a delightful treat. The menu offered a range of delectable options, and we decided to indulge in both sushi and steak. Each dish was a burst of flavors, expertly prepared and presented with precision. The only minor hurdle we encountered was parking, but this inconvenience paled in comparison to the wonderful evening we had. We found that a leisurely post-dinner stroll was a charming way to wrap up the experience.

Booked the table for my birthday. Although the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, we were seated quite close to the waiter’s computer and not in the main area. The food is expensive, we really enjoyed the smoked salmon and squid, but shrimp cocktail wasn’t as nice. Fish and chips was nice. We liked that they had some smaller desserts. Quite pricey overall, but the service was great and food was ok. Next time would like to get the table in the garden.

We had very good experience. The timing and the arrival of the food on the table was perfect. The Happy Anniversary profiterole from the house made overall experience very beautiful.

Went there for my birthday lunch. Lovely interior, average food and unenthusiastic service. The white onion and truffle soup and the sea bream were good. Blackened cod and fish cake were a bit disappointing. Regarding their service, I would say the attitude of some staff members was even a bit indifferent and impolite. Lastly, I see that they have free parking on site but the parking instruction in the booking confirmation suggested us park somewhere else with a fee. Not an enjoyable experience and would recommend exploring other restaurants in the town.

Food was excellent. I e joyed the mustard ketchup. A delight to dip the chips in. Duck liver was rich and creamy with an amazing chutney served with the best toasted sour dough I've had! Service was slow in parts but overall very good. Martinis to finish off the night marvelously, be it making my journey home a little wobbly. Would go back again for the chocolate bombe dessert alone. That was my fondest and most memorable dish I had the pleasure to have at my first and not last trip to the ivy!

We had a great anniversary dinner here. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We both had the Crispy Bang Bang Chicken salad to start which was very tasty with a bit of a kick. Then I had the Slow-braised Lamb & Beef Ragu with Pappardelle Pasta and my partner had the Pan-roasted Norwegian Salmon Fillet for mains, both dishes were full of flavour. For desserts, we both had the Zingy Tropical Sorbet which was tasty and refreshing. They even brought us an extra little dessert as we told them it was our anniversary. Would definitely come back again

I visited with my mum for a late lunch on a weekday. We hadn't booked but were made to feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and all the staff work hard to make you feel welcome and valued, in beautiful surroundings. The only issue was around paying - for some reason the card machine wasn't working (not sure what the issue was) so I had to walk down the road to get cash out once we knew how much the bill was.

Lunch here was wonderful. The shepherd's pie, tempura squid, and cider were an excellent choice for me. Service was quick.

Had roasted salmon which came with a tiny spoon of aubergines and a handful of green beans. Not enough for the £19 price tag. It wasn’t really what could be considered a main course. For dessert I chose the coconut panna cotta. It hardly tasted of coconut. There were some marinated pineapple slices and some ‘chillies???’ I mean why the chillies? And toasted almonds but overall no sauce on top to give it a bit of flavour. It was really bland. The service was good but overall not the experience I was expecting at the Ivy. I’ve been to other restaurants from this chain and their food was way way better. So with that small portion of main course and half the dessert left on the plate, I went to a pub close by to fill me up as I was still starving. Not recommended, I’m afraid.

We have been to The Ivy many times and it’s one of our favourite restaurants around Cobham, Esher and Weybridge. Great customer service and the whole team is always very nice. Fantastic food, well presented and great value too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Beautiful restaurant, excellent food and fast and friendly service. We had a lovely meal out on a Saturday evening and they made us a pretty extra dessert for the birthday of one of our party.

Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary was lovely but not the most romantic as it was noisy as usual. The seating was private as they have lots of barriers and corners despite having lots of covers. The food is exceptional. We had the same starter Duck Liver Parfait Caramelised hazelnuts, apricot and apple chutney, toasted brioche which was amazing. Bread can give me indigestion if it is mass produced and this bread was fine so presumably made in house or made the traditional way. Main : The Ivy Shepherd’s Pie with garden peas, broad beans and baby shoots. We had had this before, and it didn’t disappoint. Our favourite pudding, which was the apple tart was not on the menu. My husband had the rum barbar, one of his favourites in France, but he’d never ever in 40 years had one in the UK that was so delicious, and a decent size. The staff are amazing. Attentive at not too much. All in all, we had a very nice time and I hope to be back before next year.

Found this place whilst looking for a last minute office Christmas lunch and they don't disappoint. Great atmosphere and the food wow! I was full on the starter...so that's telling you the sizes are well good. We a total bill of just over £300 for a group of 6, which is reasonable when you think we have two courses and drinks. Staff helpful and professional and always service with a smile. Totally inviting. Great job great 10 stars

The most pristine setting in Cobham Surrey, England. It’s a must go place if you are in the area. I was in town for my son’s graduation at Cobham American school (ACS) and met a friend who took me to this place. Very good menu and very English interior. Food was very good. It’s always packed and make sure you have reservations before you go.

I have been fortunate to have eaten here quite a few times, but I have to say this was my least enjoyable visit. Service was good, but the blackened cod is half the size it used to be and is not wrapped in a banana leaf but simply placed on one. Also, it was hardly blackened . Prices are high for what you get.

Lovely atmosphere on Mothering Sunday morning & they have you flowers too which was a nice touch. The food was standard, no better then I have had at somewhere like Bills but more expensive. I would go again and would like to try their lunch or dinner menu.

We went for the festive menu and had a super time. The dishes were cooked to perfection. The only downside was that I was driving so only one small drink for me.

I absolutely love this Ivy. Such a lovely feel about it. I particularly love the conservatory/courtyard area. Light and airy yet a secluded feel to it. The staff are attentive yet relaxed and friendly. The food is superb with lots of choices. Make sure if you love a dessert you go for the chocolate bomb! It's to die for 😋

I recently dined at The Ivy Cobham with a group of four, and we had the pleasure of being served by Joanna. The entire experience was truly exceptional. The atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly complemented the delicious dishes they offered. Joanna's expertise in explaining the dishes and handling allergen concerns was impressive and greatly appreciated, especially when accommodating our group. It's rare to find such a knowledgeable and attentive server. I highly recommend The Ivy Cobham for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with friends or anyone you love!
