Very cosy place. It gives you a very warm and relaxing feel when dining in there. I like their concept - sustainable farm to fork! They have some interesting dishes. Food are very delicious. The portion is not big, more like tapas so you could try more dishes and order for sharing. I would like to come back again for dinner.

Of my time in London, The Shed offered the most inspired lunch. The quirkiness of the restaurant combined with the utmost freshest ingredients fondly reminds me of the wonderful restaurants throughout my home turf of Northern California' wine country. I wish I had time to experience a lively evening there...perhaps another time. Great wine list.

Ah, thank you for the clarification! The Shed is a farm-to-table restaurant located in Notting Hill, London. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients to create unique and flavorful dishes. One of the standout features of The Shed is its cozy and rustic atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated with wood accents and hanging plants, giving it a warm and inviting feel. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The Shed is known for their innovative and creative approach to food, and their tasting menu is a great way to experience the full range of flavors and textures that they have to offer. The wine pairing was also well-matched and enhanced the flavors of the dishes. The menu changes frequently to reflect the seasons and availability of ingredients. There was one dish that was not to my liking, but this was purely a personal preference. Overall, The Shed is a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. If you are in the area and looking for a farm-to-table dining experience, I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Nestled in a lovely setting, its ambiance exudes charm and relaxation. The menu boasts an impressive variety, offering fantastic steak and delectable fish dishes that truly tantalize the taste buds. What sets The Shed apart is its unique charm and the ability to deliver exceptional cuisine in an environment that's both inviting and memorable. We tried their steak and fish, it was great! A must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful culinary adventure.

Lovely place with lovely people. I have been coming for few times and always excellent. The service is absolutely really good (the manager Mickey always has a smile for everything and the rest of the team kind as always) and the food is nice. At least they try different plates and recipes which make them different than the rest, we will keep coming for sure!

Fabulous 8 course tasting menu of delicious bits and pieces, with accompanying wines. Their own wines were a revelation. The staff are fantastic too. Great value for such a special meal.

I have heard some recommendations about The Shed for a while and finally got to have a try. The overall atmosphere is pretty classic and chic. The wild menu is pretty big but a bit heavy (too much fried plates I would say). Two waiters know a lot about their food and wine and gave us very detailed intros of the dishes, while the other one waitress messed up the order of food (switched the second and third), didn’t give us any intro when she served the food and it was quite slow compared to other tables. We didn’t touch the Lamb Chips and the Pork as they are a bit too fried and oily. I wouldn’t recommend to try this set of menu if you’re not very hungry.

An absolute great find just round the corner from Notting Hill Gate! Fantastic food and cocktails, everything we had was top quality. The staff were super friendly too and offered a lot of suggestions on different courses and drinks. It's quite a small restaurant so a little cozy/compact but that adds to the charm. There's extra space outside too if the weather is good out.

Relaxed dining near nottinghill gate. Had an early dinner here where we turned up on a Saturday around 6:30pm without a reservation. Food was nice and service was both attentive and friendly. Had the steak and duck. Both nice. Funny space but comfortable. I thought they could have made a bigger deal of the farm to gate produce. About £120 with a drink, entree and mains.

Great, truly original plates packed with great flavours and a good buzzy atmosphere. It's best to know tables are pretty close to each other, so while it's great for couples or small groups it's probably not one for a quiet and intimate night out.

A cozy and well decorated place. Different food, with fair amounts whether you want to try several dishes or just want one. Good value for money. Excellent treatment by Mikey. We will return without a doubt.

We had the BEST come back dinner since the end of Lockdown. Thank you The Shed brothers, manager, team and chefs. I loved my lobster so much that I forgot to take a photo of it ! And I am Gluten Free and there are so many options for me, or they adapt and will swap some ingredients to fit my needs. Thank you. SO DELICIOUS ! We recommend the scallops, the incredible homemade bread, their lamb, and of course their honeycomb/mascarpone INCREDIBLE dessert. YUM.

Lovely unplanned dinner with toddler. Very welcoming and accommodated us at the last minute. Was made to feel comfortable even with a grumpy toddler who made a mess. Food was lovely, served very quickly. Had a great cocktail and nice wine. Would definitely recommend as a nice atmosphere.

Don’t come here too hungry because even the mains felt like tapas dishes. Long wait between dishes too. Very pricey considering the portion sizes. Love the sustainability concept of the menu but the food didn’t quite deliver. Sadly the restaurant just seemed more run-down than cozy.

High quality food executed to perfection. We had the plant-based set and the celeriac schnitzel was amazing. I would have never ordered celeriac, and was so glad it was on the set.

A cozy modest restaurant with very good dishes to offer. I tried their holiday menus which included an awesome mix of meat, seafood and veggie dishes. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It was a shame we could not try the owner's local wine from their vineyards as they were out.

Everything from the food and wine to the decor and the staff was fantastic. The food was exceptional, very fresh, well cooked and beautifully presented (the short rib was a particular highlight). The wine list was excellent, we tried a couple of English wines (a white and a rosé), both of which surprised to the upside. The staff were incredibly courteous and knowledgeable - they had no trouble talking in detail about the wine or suggesting pairings with the food. Overall, excellent experience, will certainly be back again very soon.

What a great first night in London. We were craving a tasty modern version of British food and we got it here. The a service was fast, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the food we ordered was 10/10. In particular the waiter’s recommendation to get the venison, not something I would have gravitated toward, was spot on. Cooked perfectly and tasty. The starters were particularly well cratfed and the wine list was robust. Will definitely come back.

This was our 4th visit to this restaurant. The food is delicious the ambience is great. This time, the service was excellent. Chris did a great job. We felt at home, welcomed and appreciated. One thing about this restaurant it is not pretentious. All the staff just want you to have a great experience.

We has such an amazing time at the Shed! The venue is so cosy and so beautifully decorated! We will definitely be back! All the staff were super hospitable! Shout out to Chris who was exceptional and ensured we had a lovely meal! It was also my boyfriends birthday and Chris brought us a complimentary desert with a candle as well as singing happy birthday! It brought a smile to both mine and my boyfriends face! Definitely would recommend the shed. Super yummy food with exceptional staff!

Food is organic and grown in the UK so a great concept. Tapas style i.e small plates however dishes were served individually and not together therefore food got cold while we were waiting. They seem confused that we wanted to eat them together....because you eat plates of cauliflower and potatoes by themselves? Found food to be bland and lacklustre unfortunately.

Huge disappointment. This place used to be cute and cosy, but no more. Menu very average. Food even worse and the staff were rude and beyond obnoxious. Left hungry, and will never be back. Zero stars.

Nice find right next to Hyde park. Perfect for a weekend brunch. Servers were knowledgeable and attentive and the food nice. Tapas style twists on English flavours. Highly recommend. Prices were good for the quality ~£35 pp, with a drink.

Excellent service and delicious farm-to-table food. We really enjoyed the mushroom butter & bread, pork sausages, and mozzarella plates. And the Shed wine is a favourite. I'd recommend The Shed for dinner with friends, romantic dates, anniversaries, and business meals.

I was very excited to go to this place to check it out. At the end, I found the place very cosy but it really made me and my friends uncomfortable that nobody from the staff was wearing masks or implementing any kind of rules around social distancing (it’s a small place but they could still put more effort, like other bars and restaurants in the area do, and make people feel more comfortable). In addition to that, the menu was very limited and very particular, so go there open minded to try something new/different to not be disappointed. The waitress who served us couldn’t give us helpful info around the food and overall the quality of the food was ok, certainly not worth £40 per person for sharing plates and a small glass of wine. Happy I checked it out but I won’t go back.

We had a gorgeous dinner with delicious food and the best mulled wine I’ve had anywhere. Chris was delightful as our server and made us feel so welcome and looked after us all night . We were also served a few times by Mo who was just as lovely . The food is wonderful and the value for money is excellent. It’s clear that they pay attention to detail. My boyfriend particularly enjoyed the beef fillet. The white crab meat on bread with caviar was also delectable. Thank you to the whole team who were so kind and especially to Chris ! We’ll be back x

Great place. Cozy atmosphere, nice staff. The tasting menu was excellent, especially considering the price and location: 6 course tasting menu in Notting Hill for 45 pounds... The only thing I would improve was the dessert: we were served a Paris-Brest, and it didn't compare well with traditional french Paris-Brest like you can find in Paris, although it was still really good by any UK standard.

Came here for an early dinner before a cinema trip. It was my first visit and we had a great evening! Lucy was our waitress, she was warm and welcoming and took time to explain the menu and offer suggestions on the wine and dishes to try. Each dish was wonderful with lots of flavour and care taken on presentation. I mentioned it was a belated birthday dinner and they gave us a free dessert. What a lovely gesture! Will definitely return.

Great place to meet friends and enjoy good food. Staff were friendly and accommodating. You felt like nothing was too much trouble. If you want a flavour of everything then try the tasting menu. We also went for the accompanying wine taster which complemented each course.

All product being sourced in their farm freshness is secured. But more dishes are well executed; a really good place. We were so teased y the description of the amuse-bouches on the menu... we couldn’t decide and had them all...twice!

I have been twice before to The Shed and often to its sister restaurants. This was my first visit post lockdown. On the positive side, they handled social distancing very well - everyone was well distanced and all the staff were wearing masks properly. Less good was the food. There seem to have been changes to the menu with less inventive and subtle food combinations but what really grated was that each of the five savoury dishes we shared was heavily sweetened - we left with a rather sickly taste in the mouth. Whether it’s a policy change or just a chef change I don’t know. I will try one of the other branches as I do like the chain, but I won’t return here for quite some time.

  • 5/5 Simon G. 3 years ago on Google
The staff were very friendly & helpful, all staff were wearing clear visors, which were protective and easy for communication, helped us through the menu with some good suggestions. The food and wine was excellent and a lovely evening was had!

  • 3/5 Pam V. 3 years ago on Google
Bit disappointing for what has been one of my favourites for years. Seemed rather disorganised on social distancing and general management of guests for safety, even though staff were in full masks and lovely as always. Also food not as good as usual with the exception of the fabulous crunchies dessert.

Gorgeous little restaurant that's bigger on the inside than it looks. Really liked the decor too, as well as the heated outdoor area at the front. The food was amazing, lots of inventive veggie options, nice selection of wines, and service was 10/10.

Staff was super nice, and the overall vibe is pretty cool. The menu is a bit limited because it is so expensive. I got the scallops which was an appetizer, but was comically small. Very good food, service, and quality, but value not so good.

  • 3/5 Anna 3 years ago on Google
I was ver much looking forward to this, i came with some friends of mine who had been many times before and had recommended this place. Unfortunately it was very disappointing, the food was very bland - tasteless. For example; Mushroom Eclairs or Aubergine did not taste of much, same with the Cauliflower who for £15 was drizzled with a bit of Creme Fraiche but again there was not much to it. What saved the night was the bread with mushroom butter and Chorizo Balls. Although the service was great, we were told numerous times that we had to order quickly as they needed the table back ( which made us feel uncomfortable ) and there was a bit of a confusion as some dishes weren’t coming out and we waited a long time for them before we asked if they had been forgotten which they weren’t but they were waiting for us to eat the first dishes first which was a bit annoying as with tapas it is nice to have bits here and there from all dishes you order. The ratings for this place are great and it may work for some but it didn’t work for us.

  • 5/5 katrina f. 2 years ago on Google
Insanely innovative and exciting cooking in a really informal setting. It's easy just to order a few things and share, and the English wine is very delicious. We ordered 2 starters, 3 main courses and a side for 4 people but couldn't resist sharing 2 puddings as well. It's also worth ordering one of the mushroom and marmite eclairs each to get the evening underway - they are exquisite! The staff are extremely friendly and it's good value for money, as well as being the most unpretentious establishment around.
