For its price, the food was so-so, the service was exceptionally slow, beautiful interior design. We ordered a 2-course for lunch, and also a shepherd’s pie. I guess it wasn’t great we came in hungry. The appetiser (salad - soy with peanuts bang bang salad) came after 15 mins of ordering - which was acceptable. It were too much sauce though, really too accentuated, but the spice was just right. The Salmon steak that was supposed to come with the two course, came after 40 minutes of ordered, plus we had to remind the staff. (fine ingredients but cooked with an average style, wasn’t cooked hot) Also the Shepherd’s pie - beef and lamb and some potato on top, which wasn’t served hot enough. For its price, I really expected more. The interior is lovely though and they have private parties. The service is just so slow though I wouldn’t add anything extra to the order. People next to me asked the same, to hurry up with the dishes.

Lovely and relaxing environment to enjoy a breakfast on a Sunday morning. I had the eggs benedict, and the eggs were cooked perfectly and went well with the shredded ham. My only criticism was that the sauce was a little on the cold side for my liking, and toast was cold, so I couldn't melt the butter. I'm sure if I had raised it with the waitress, they would have been happy to rectify. Overall, it was very good, and I will be back.

I had a very bad experience at the restaurant. My son orders a steak. I asked for a sauce with out any alcohol. They told me both mushroom and pepper sauce contain alcohol. Who would give alcohol to their child !??? I asked for help to fry some mushrooms with a Milk make a sauce for me. Alcohol free. They didn’t accept. This place just has a name. Customer service is zero. The hamburger was over cooked. It’s very disappointing such a nice place. Big name. Costomer service is so bad. I think it’s over price.

Yet another hit of excellent restaurants to dine at as that very special treat This being my second Ivy Brasserie the other being in Wimbledon Village . Admittedly on the expensive side particular if your meal includes a good bottle of wine In my case the occasion was a Christmas present from my elder brother. Decor entering ,was like a hall of eglomise mirrors come merino lightning stunning pictures on every wall draws you in . Well dressed dineing tables throughout Some in quiet corners and most attentive staff. Food outstanding having respectively a Start of souffle of wild mushrooms With main of ,tempura, squid tenticals along with wild foraged mushrooms and truffle linguine. Numbered desserts ,teas and coffee. Was delighted to discover that there is a disabled toilet available on the ground floor orherwise it's very steep steps up to the first floor not recommended iif like me you have difficulty First floor is where you'll also find private dining rooms to book eg celebratory Strongly advised to book ahead. One for your dairy

The Ivy in Richmond is located conveniently off the main shopping street. 🛍. We parked nearby, on the green ( not literally. 🤣). Plenty of parking on a Wednesday late morning in October. The usual expected decor that all the ivy establishments have. Cosy and unique. We where looked after like royalty. Such wonderful service. Nowhere else is as good in my experience. A delicious 😋 lunch was had. Fabulous experience. 🥳

What can I say as a tourist about my experience with such a great restaurant like Ivy cafe in Richmond. Coz I can say much about it. The Ivy Cafe Richmond is a popular restaurant located in Richmond, London. The atmosphere is upscale and sophisticated, with an elegant decor and cozy seating areas. Although the tables is near each others but you will forget that as soon as your meal come and start tasting the great food. The menu is inspired by British cuisine with a modern twist, offering a variety of dishes to suit different tastes. One of the standout dishes on the menu is the Shepherd's Pie, which is both hearty and flavorful. Other popular dishes include the Ivy Burger, the Crispy Duck Salad, and the Chocolate Bombe dessert. I will praise the attentive and friendly service, as well as the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, The Ivy Cafe Richmond is a great choice for a special occasion or a night out with friends or family.

The food was average, dull, needs a lot of taste. the service was one of the most annoying things I’ve ever witnessed, the lady that acted as a messenger to the manager was an absolute mess, she did not have any kind of manners or logic in her talk I was looking forward to this visit but I won’t visit this place ever again nor I will recommend it to anyone ever again.

I haven't been to this Ivy cafe location in years and I have to say I will return for breakfast. I had a fabulous veggie breakfast. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly (often places don't cook the white fully). The volume of food was too much for me but might not be for others. Great quality and taste. Oh, mine was also gluten free. 😁

First time in a Ivy Cafe and definitely a place to return. Great atmosphere and good service. The food was also really nice. I particularly enjoyed the courgette fritters as a starter and the monkfish and prawns curry - two dishes I recommend.

Visited the Ivy today for the first time at Richmond with my mum and sister for breakfast. It was a special occasion and Karl who served us was amazing, welcoming and has great attention to detail. He made the visit extra special for us. We had an amazing time, all staff smiling and making the experience one to remember. Highly recommended and ask for Karl to serve you or sit by the window, that might be his section:-)

We went for the afternoon tea at the Ivy Cafe and we booked beforehand. What made our experience very memorable was the attentive and accommodating staff who went above and beyond from recommendations to preparing a birthday surprise for my little sister. It was one of the best examples of great customer service that we have seen during this trip to the UK. We will surely recommend it and visit again.

Spontaneously decided to finally try Ivy for the first time and we were not disappointed. The food was tasty, ambience and service amazing and attentive. We did not try any of the desserts but to be fair, they looked delicious. Next time! Well done and thank you💫

A favourite venue to visit before a rugby match at Twickenham. Our group enjoyed the various dishes with the only negatives being the dry burger and overly salted fries. Overall, another good visit and we shall return.

A night out at The Ivy Richmond, very tasty food. It was a seafood night with 🐟 dishes and a side of zucchini fries. All very yummy. Calm and pleasant dinning atmosphere, although the wall decors were a little busy for my own likely but it is classic so it fits. The team were very friendly as well.

Little that I cannot say about this place that gives it less than 5 stars. Absolutely loved every bit of our experience here. Food was top notch, my steak was cooked perfectly, the blackened cod was tender and juicy, and the lamb bolognese pasta for my child was delicious. Great cocktails too, my only wish was for more time to try out other cocktails. For dessert, we had the chocolate bombe which I think the three of us licked the plate clean. Will definitely be back, as our 4 year old was super happy with the food. Only recommendation would be to provide some kids activity such as coloring pads etc.

Visited on 21st December. Really loved the interiors of this place, very pretty. Lots of greens and gold and it had an oriental style vibe to it. I had the rib eye on the bone which was flavoursome and I would recommend it. The service was good considering how busy it was in the run up to Christmas. I would come back.

Highly recommend for a nice meal and overall pleasant experience. Staff were polite, friendly, thoughtful and accomodating, noting allergies. I went for my birthday with my family on a Saturday night. Food was tasty, portions were great and the environment was buzzing, all wrapped up in an attentive and efficient service given it was a typically busy Saturday evening. Ordered a steak medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. Vegan and vegetarian menu available too on request. Exceptional, a treat and definitely worth visiting The Ivy in Richmond if you can afford it.

Recommend for casual or more celebratory occasions, they have a very good menu and it’s not expensive! We have been many times and come back again! I guess, and they gave me 2 cakes for my BD, how sweet!

Busy, making the most of covid restrictions being eased, very little mask wearing of both patrons and staff. Told we had 1h45m for out table but left us there for closer to 2h30m. Service excellent - friendly, chatty, efficient. Food generally good but a bit disappointed by the lobster linguine. Heavy on the tomato, chilli was almost absent and required quite a lot of the chilli oil and flakes they serve on the side. Not much lobster either. I'd say this is typical of the Ivy's that have sprung up.

I always enjoy eating here. The service is excellent, very attentive without being intrusive and you don't feel rushed or pressurised. The food is excellent too and very consistent. The decor is beautiful and very stylish and colourful. The upstairs Isabella room is very nice and perfect for a private function. I highly recommend this place.

Their weekday set menu is extremely good value. 2 or 3 course options. Very nice cocktails.

Beautiful place but the service was patchy. Hosts are very obliging however we were given a pretty unceremonious bums' rush with 3 minutes to vacate our (very small) table ahead of the next diners. I guess you don't come here to relax or have an intimate dining experience, which is a shame because the food is pretty good and the art deco setting is lush.

Went for late lunch early dinner for a family meal. So mant G&T's to choose from and the one we had was so good with excellent presentation. Staff and food very good. We shared a desert which was delicious. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

We had a lovely birthday dinner at The Ivy in Richmond. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was very good and we had a lovely cocktail and a bottle of portuguese whine along. Loved the kids ice cream where they get a tray of sweets to build their own dream ice cream.

I come here relatively often and recently had the afternoon tea for the first time. It was okay! Not bad my any means whatsoever but I can’t say it blew me away. My recommendations for improvements would be to have more savory options. The selection had far too many sweet things for me. Also the portion was huge - we could not finish everything. During previous times I went for dinner. I truly think the ivy is okay. It never stands out in my mind as food I would want to come back for - but if it’s there and I’m hungry I guess I’ll go in. I don’t recommend the Asia menu - I haven’t had anything that was actually spicy or authentic. It all felt like what British people imagine Asian food is. They obviously forgot what real Asian food is from the days of the colonization. The best dish I had here was the scallops as a main but in a different branch. That’s the only thing I would personally get if I am here

  • 3/5 Beatriz Pastrana M. 2 years ago on Google
Really great service, not sure the food is anything to write home about perhaps it was the choice of dishes? Prawn cocktail was ok, the scallops were beautifully cooked but the Parmesan foam didn’t taste of anything… Veal dish was good and well cooked, but the lobster linguini with chilli had little chilli in it. The sticky toffee pudding was great but the apple tart had so much Calvados it tasted of raw alcohol. I’m not sure I’ll be going back to eat here any time soon

Outstanding birthday lunch in the Isabella room. The bright, festive space really enhanced the celebration. Staff were friendly and meticulous in their service. They helped make a special day truly memorable. Menu was excellent and satisfied all 22 of us - young and old!

Great breakfast and service. We went for my wife’s birthday and in the booking I mentioned it is birthday and after we finished the food they brought her a small cake with a candle. Lovely gesture

Civilized portions in a fancy-posh environment in Richmond. Staff is very friendly and attentive to every detail. We had a cheese soufflé as appetizer, shepherds pie for me and chicken parmigiana with a fried egg as “top of mountain” (weird combination) for my wife. Wife’s choice resulted in something incompatible with what we would expect from a parmigiana. My shepherds pie was reasonable, nothing really outstanding, although, as I said, it was in a civilized amount. I had an IPA made in Scotland which resulted to be very good. Again, the place is really beautiful but to link the beauty of the place with the value of the food experience is too much. Not sure if I will return.

I went for a special occasion with my daughter. The food was great and the service was exceptional, really because of Maura. She was an amazing waitress and always made sure we had everything we needed. The only big blip were two fishy smelling Bellinis. I had to close my nose because my daughter was too embarrassed to complain about the smelly glasses. Upon check out Maura insisted that this had to be accounted for in the final bill. If it wasn’t for Maura this would have been a three star review.

I took my wife for lunch, lovely cocktails, great bar service, great food service, great food. A fantastic place, so beautiful, amazing decor. My wife told me that the ladies powder room looks amazing. Definitely a place to go and to re-visit for myself. Thank you "The Ivy Team"

Good food and cocktails. The restaurant itself is nicer than the food served, which is good but nothing memorable or outstanding. I was hoping to try their cheese sufflé, but it's only available in their dinner menu.

  • 5/5 Jonathan C. 2 years ago on Google
We enjoyed this meal from start to finish. The service was outstanding - friendly, welcoming and professional. The restaurant is beautiful inside with a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere. The food was equally brilliant. Following some nibbles (the truffle arancini were particularly good) my wife had the cheese soufflé and I had the duck liver parfait, which had an interesting presentation. Both were great starters but the main of lobster linguine we both had was outstanding, arriving with a generous helping of lobster meat. It was a dish to remember. My wife had the chocolate bombe whilst I had the apple tart with calvados flambé. Both dishes had some theatre provided by the excellent waiting staff. I highly recommend treating yourself to what is an unforgettable experience.

My partner & I took my mother here for afternoon tea and I can't deny it was worth every penny. Every bite from the scones to the sandwiches was delightful. Definitely a real treat for the taste buds. If the food isn't want you're looking for take a look at the drinks menu... You won't be disappointed.
