The food is good, but not that amazing. The crab starter is nice but the lamb is too salty, sides just okay. The waiters are busy serving alcohol and did not spare too much attention on our table. My friend reported it to the manager but he just gave his name card without any compensation. Generally it is a nice place to date or taking pictures with the city views.

Of course the view is spectacular and you're paying the premium for it. It was a lovely view. Service was Michelin level excellent and the wine was expansive as expected. Cocktails were refreshing with unexpected twists. Food was where we felt let down. Starters: Devon crab with Asian inspired flavors was light, airy, and pleasing to the palate. The Rabbit Ballantine was poorly executed with a rubbery, can't-cut-it-with-our-knives wrapping and coco beans so undercooked we decided not to eat them. Main: We ordered the côte de bœuf for 2. The beef itself was delicious and cooked just right leaving us with both lovely medium-rare steak and crispy fat edges. But the chips were far from the Michelin level chips you can get at, say, Dinner or Bibendum Oyster Bar. Both the béarnaise and peppercorn sauce were off on their texture with flavors that overpowered the beef, which is quite a feat. And the accompanying salad was Instagram cute, but actually impossible to eat without dumping them out and spending a couple minutes chopping it up so you can put a bite on your fork instead of an entire huge leaf. Perhaps we could have ordered better, but really, everything on the menu should be executed at the level the view—and price tag—warrants.

Amazing ambiance and very attentive service. The bread & butter before the meal was delicious. My sea bass was delicate. However the soufflé with black cherry sorbet was disappointing at best. Although the texture was perfect, no flavor at all. Plus, presentation was just ok. That’s why I give it 4 stars.

My partner gifted me this experience before Christmas. They excel in all aspects, from start to finish: location, atmosphere, service, food. Every plate was carefully designed and presented by the staff. Good wine pairing recommendation by the sommelier. Deserving of the Michelin star!

It was a great experience and a memorable day. We visited for my Birthday; it was a great location with breathtaking views and a great experience from the entrance to the end; it was Good. The food was excellent, and they did a nice touch for the birthday celebration; the only issue was the long wait for the drinks…Each time, I needed to hope someone would come…As you have a waiter assigned to you to deliver the dishes to your table, Sasha, I think it was ours; he was very polite and knowledgeable and explained all the dishes upon serving them. Very cosy, suitable for business meetings or romantic nights, we spend around £300 - 2 people. The area that Could/should improve will be drinks - As we struggled to get the drinks going on our table, even asked multiple people but never got the drinks, ...they did not live up to their overall standards. Had to wait a long time to get seen or be able to ask for more drinks - Or could they have someone go around to ensure tables are not lagging? Thank You.

Excellent service. Food very good. Beautiful views of London. Lighting moody so makes for romantic meal but has an upbeat music and vibe so also good for business meetings. Crowd mix of professionals, tourists and couples / families. To arrive take side entrance, security check and leave coat in the cloakroom downstairs. Smart dress would suit the setting.

Loved this place! The staff is well trained, polite, careful with our needs and very welcoming. The waiters are happy to answer all our questions regarding the food. The view is breathtaking and the atmosphere is cosy. It’s a quite place perfect for a date or to catch up with friends. The food is delicious and the portions are generous.

I once dined at City Social before in 2018. That was the time when both food quality and service was superb. My recent dining experience at City Social, however, was frankly appalling...given this restaurant is michelin star rated. 1. Staff was very unattentive, and the restaurant wasn't even near full capacity (my booking was at 6:30pm). Me and my partner are normally the patient type, but that early evening took them very long just to get a simple drinks and dining menu. They just simply didn't taking care of their customers. They also failed to satisfy our booking request (we requested a table by the window with an outside view, and those tables were all vacant at that time, but that's fine). 2. Staff was not professionally trained. When our pork cheek dish was being served, the sauce being poured down on the food was in fact got spilled and splashed on the side of the plate, making the dishing less appealing than it's meant to be. 3. If the above two points wasn't even appalling enough, here's one that's very worrying. I was having this starter dish - crispy squid bowl. Having a few pieces, I felt chewing on something sharp and hard which almost hurt my mouth. So I spilled it out, turned out it was a foreign object shaping like a 3cm long but thin wooden or metal-like pick (see photos). Being alarmed by this shock finding, I immediately reported this to the staff. We appreciated the staff was attentive (in this unusal situation) and has understood our concern, and the manager also quickly apologized for the unusally poor food preparation (or actually more like a health & safety concern...even the restaurant didn't know what that was!) However given this restaurant is michelin star rated, I felt this was a very very uncomfortable experience and very unforgivable. We've been kindly offered the same dish to be re-made for us at no extra cost, but still, we were here dining at your well-reputated place, expecting a fine-dining experience, and in the end what we received was an absolutely disasteous nightmare. We didn't want to make a scene out of it, hence we paid the full bill for the evening and left. (oh and by the way, it also took them long enough to get the bill to us!)

They deleted my post 2 times… I would say that dining here was not a very pleasant experience. And this restaurant is racist. We reported to manager David, he promised a feedback on the next day after 9th June but they haven’t yet. I booked dinner at this restaurant for my birthday on 9th June for table for 6. From the security check downstairs to the staff at the front desk, the service experience was very perfect. However, I would like to say here that a waiter who served us and David, the manager of the restaurant, were very unprofessional and brought us a very uncomfortable experience. First of all, we had a few small problems in the dining room, such as the wrong water, small flying insects on the bread, the wrong amount of food. However, the waiters were very arrogant, did not apologize, and all claimed that these were normal. So we were not satisfied with the service and removed the service charge, but at the end of the meal, the waiter showed obvious impatience and bad attitude. Because of this attitude, we reflected to the restaurant staff wearing suits when we left after dinner, in fact, just to help them improve their service level in the future. But when David, the manager, came in and talked to us, he was very arrogant and said that he would reflect but not apologize, and that there had never been a problem in their restaurant in 10 years. I was speechless because we thought it was discrimination and doubted their professional attitude, and the experience also ruined our wonderful birthday night and caused psychological damage to us. I don't know what kind of reform the management department of this restaurant will make after that, I hope I will never encounter such a restaurant again.

Thoroughly enjoyed experience here. Both Bar and Restaurant. Ambience and Service was exceptional. Bar - great views, great cocktails. Restaurant - thoroughly enjoyed. Especially loved my Starter and Dessert (Devon Crab, and Rhubarb Eton Mess with Almond Ice cream respectively) - both Heavenly. Only downside - partner Vegan. Vegan menu wasn't great. Found courgette risotto very very salty. Otherwise, RECOMMEND.

Visited on 27/01/22. Service was a little slow but we weren't in any rush. The staff were friendly, there was one guy in particular that was soooo lovely and accommodating but unfortunately I didn't get his name. Food was absolutely fantastic, probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Views were incredible. They even brought out a complimentary dessert for my partners birthday. Would definitely return!!

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was so outstanding, I can still remember how that ravioli tasted and the best tarte tatin I've had. The service was on point and a really great ambiance with the subtle lighting, a couch that's embracing you towards a beautiful city view.

It's the best meal I've had in a long while. Everything was faultless food wise. My highlights were probably the risotto and the lemon parfait but I also thoroughly enjoyed the rabbit ballotine and the lamb (three ways) which was cooked to perfection. 10/10 experience. To top it all off, as well as a great settings with amazing views, the service matched the food quality to be equally excellent (great recommendations from our very friendly, but not overbearing, waiting staff). Lovely evening on all accounts, I'll be back.

The food here is exceptional and it deserved its Michelin star! Every dish was cooked to perfection. In a couple of recent reviews I presume that some key staff were off at that time, because this time it was class all the way. The sharing dishes are a great idea which just adds to the experience. The lobster ravioli and scallops tartare must be tried and the veal chop sharing dish was perfection. The only negative was that we were being pressured to have another bottle of wine. I know they have to do this but there's only a need to ask once. I am also not a fan of the wine being poured for us. I advise pouring your own for an even split! Another reason to visit is the view which is incredible from the 24th floor!

Our first experience of a Michelin star restaurant and I have to say it was a very enjoyable experience. It's not something I would do very often, as of course you might expect it's quite expensive. However, the whole experience was excellent, from the food and service to the amazing views that you get by being on the 24th floor in a tower block. A great place to visit for a special occasion, this was my sons 21st birthday.

A Culinary Extravaganza in London! Prepare to have your taste buds taken on an unforgettable journey at City Social, the acclaimed one-star Michelin restaurant curated by the culinary virtuoso, Jason Atherton. Located in the vibrant heart of London, this gastronomic gem is a haven for food enthusiasts seeking a sensational dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the elegant ambience embraced me, setting the stage for an extraordinary culinary adventure. The attentive staff guided me through the menu, and I eagerly dove into a feast for the senses. First, the seared scallops arrived, a captivating symphony of flavours. The plump scallops, delicately seared to perfection, released a succulent sweetness that harmonized with each bite. It was a tantalizing start to the culinary journey that lay ahead. Next up was the raviolo, a true work of art on a plate. As I cut into the delicate pasta, a luscious filling oozed out, revealing a medley of flavours that danced on my palate. The raviolo was a culinary revelation, leaving me craving for more. The halal rib eye steaks were an absolute showstopper. Cooked with utmost precision, the tender meat boasted a heavenly charred exterior while remaining irresistibly juicy within. With each bite, I savoured the robust flavours that burst forth, creating a carnivorous delight that delighted my senses. To complement the exquisite dishes, I indulged in the mocktails crafted by City Social's talented mixologists. The Virgin Fizz, with its refreshing citrusy zing, and the Pin Con Nada, a tropical concoction bursting with fruity notes, were the perfect accompaniments to the flavoursome fare. Every aspect of my dining experience at City Social was a testament to Jason Atherton's culinary prowess. The attention to detail, the exceptional flavours, and the impeccable service culminated in a truly unforgettable evening. Don't miss the opportunity to embark on your own gastronomic journey at City Social and let your taste buds revel in the extraordinary creations that await you. Thank you for a wonderful evening and a table by the window. My wife and I had a lovely evening

What a wonderful experience! The food was delicious through all three courses that we choose, where the duck was a favorite. The service was much appreciated and contributed to the ambience. Lastly, the sommelier was outstanding and really brought the wine experience to life.

Had a wonderful meal for a special occasion here. Service was amazing and exceeded all expectations. My boyfriend proposed to me and the staff was so accommodating! They arranged a tour round the restaurant, showing us the wonderful views after our meal, and showed us the private chef’s table room, where my boyfriend proposed to me. They had left the flowers he had bought in the room and they helped us capture the moment. They congratulated us after, and made it such a magical moment. Luckily there was a room free and they gave us time to take the moment in. The drinks were lovely, and the starters were delicious. The scallop was served with barbecued corn, yuzu and roe butter sauce, which was a wonderful combination. The beef tartare served with shimeji, miso mayonnaise, with salt and vinegar crouton was beautifully presented and great textures. The lamb saddle and belly, though a little salty, had a lovely sauce to go with it, the meat was very well cooked, and the white asparagus cut through the heaviness of the meat. The tulip was beautiful. Ribeye steak was well cooked and well balanced with all the accompaniments. Nothing that attracted us on the dessert menu, but the food was wonderful enough and the bread was lovely with the salted butter, as well as the onion butter. But the menu changes, so maybe the next time we visit we will like the dessert offerings. The only negative was that there was a long wait between finishing the starters and the mains arriving. It was quite a business atmosphere, but it was a weekday in The City. We had a lovely table looking towards The Gherkin and it felt intimate enough. We were not close to other tables. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions. The service is absolutely amazing.

What a beautiful venue to celebrate a special occasion. The staff were amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made a fuss for my son's graduation and made us feel honoured guests. The food was incredible. I was able to access a vast range of gluten free options, adapted from the main menu, and for once, did not feel I was having a diluted culinary experience for having coeliac disease! The views were stunning and we shall definitely return in the future.

Visited City Social for a Saturday night dinner and was very impressed by the food, service and location. We went for the shared cote de boeuf for our main and it was fantastic - beautifully charred outside and a tender, pink interior. Our crab starter was also great and the tonka bean souffle for dessert was tremendous. The venue itself is great, particularly sitting by the windows in the cocktail bar area and admiring the fantastic views. Would love to come here again and try some of the other menu items and hopefully will get the chance to do so.

Awesome food, awesome service, awesome views. Very personable staff, I didn’t feel out of place or in a stuff environment at all and was made to feel at home the second we arrived. Props to the kitchen team for producing such quality yet hearty British fare. It’s rare to leave a place like this with a full stomach. They even sent us a complimentary dessert as we was celebrating our anniversary. Special mention for the tart tatin which was excellent.

Came here for cocktails with friends. It would be worth it just for the incredible view on London (has nothing to envy to the Shard, you can literally see most of the city) but the cocktails are honestly some of the best you can find in the Big Smoke. The bar food was also exceptionally good (for being bar grubs), haven't been to their restaurant but I'm sure that's excellent too. Service is also on point and very attentive. Booking recommended.

Really great experience. Nice London view at night. Staff frendly and attentive. The vegetarian options are really good, everything cooked with care and valuing all the ingredients of the dishes. After all, it is the minimum expected from a Michelin restaurant. Deserts plant based as well and vegeterian. Nice all the care for the vegeterian and vegan options.

A great place to visit with stellar views over the city of London. We booked the bar. I've visited the bar before and knew what to expect, but tonight the service was a little slow. We ordered food, unfortunately we did not get to eat it as I had an emergency call and had to leave immediately, but we explained this to the staff and we only got charged for the drinks and the nibbles we had. Atmosphere is great, but the music was a bit too loud for my liking. Food here is great, the bar menu is small, but you will not be disappointed with your order. I'd recommend the fish and chips and the burger. Price-wise, about right for location and type of establishment, but portion sizes are generous and filling. Another visit for a lovely lunch at the bar. Again no issues with the food or service. I ordered the beef rib and it was delicious! Soft, rich and so flavorful!

Lovely space and amazing views. We were given the wine list when shown to our table and it was then 30-40mins and only after asking that the food menus were brought. I get that they want you to order wines but the food menus should be given when you sit at your table. In fairness the food came pretty quickly once ordered and the quality and especially the presentations was very high.

Great place to go for food and also a drink. The restaurant has is split in half with a bar on one side and the seated restaurant on the other side. Views of the city are great. Staff are attentive, seemed like we briefly got forgotten for a moment but the rest of the night they were very attentive onwards. Food is great, given in small portions so might not be for those who compare price to portion size. Though I think the pricing is okay The staff are well knowledgable in the menu and have great recommendations for the menu. Great place to talk business, catch up, or a romantic dinner £500 ish spent with 3 people

I went as part of a group for a birthday and we all thought the food was mostly very good! The duck and lamb were definitely our favorites. The service was very good and everyone was very helpful and attentive. The one disappointment was the desert, we found the ice cream didn’t have much flavour at all. The sorbet and complementary birthday desert were lovely though. We’ll definitely be back again.

Amazing experience!! We ordered sea bass and duck and it was very flavorsome, the execution flavor and presentation wise was on spot. The quality of the food was very good and worth paying for. The service was also very great, felt welcomed and the staffs were helpful. Atmosphere was mesmerizing with the restaurant being on the 24TH floor, we were able to see London from up top while dining.

I have no words. Quite possibly my favorite dining experience ever. First of all, we were sat at a great table and the sun was starting to go down. We were greeted by such friendly staff and started off with incredible cocktails (fantastic dirty martinis here). Then the bread and butter came (for free) - we got refills. The butter is out of this world - this is French level butter. I could eat that butter with everything. We then each got different starters, with the scallops being my absolute favorite. And I don’t usually like scallops. We then got the lamb and the seabass, and split a bottle of wine. I cannot stress how incredible everything was - and honestly quite affordable considering everything we got (mind you I’m comparing to New York pricing). Come here please and you’ll thank me later.

Lovely views and decent food and cocktails but terrible service. I went as part of a work event for about 20 people with expectation of seating for 730pm with starters arriving at 745. We didn’t see starters until gone 830 and mains didn’t arrive until gone 1030pm. The staff started setting up for dessert at gone 11pm but most guests, including myself didn’t get dessert as we had to leave for travel plans to get home. The staff acted surprised that people were leaving but this is really terrible service for a high class restaurant and the views don’t make up for it. Definitely will not return.

The atmosphere was beautiful and as with all restaurants situated at that height, we had a beautiful view of London to go with our meal. Our food was great (as is expected of a Michelin Star restaurant) and selected from the vegetarian menu. You require a reservation but we visited at about 3:30pm on a Monday so we were able to walk in without one.

A restaurant with a view and a statement location. It's about the view and ambiance for me here. A setting that overlooks the city of London, lighting that focuses on your party, cocktails and a clientele who are dressed for an occasion. The tasting menu is accessible, has a michelin star and the chefs are really on point when it comes to cooking skills. What impresses me is the kitchen must have a high level of consistency given the number of tables they have to serve. It possibly explains why the tasting menu is 4 courses, where I wish the tasting menu had more of an opporunitiy to show off what the chefs can do. The wine list is impressive and the sommelier was a joy to speak with. Staff wise, like most places they're a little short handed which left us waiting on a post dinner drink, but when able they really go the extra mile. Very grateful for a tour around the kitchen and how they make a table feel at ease. It's a lovely restaurant and imagine the private dinning here over the night lights of the City is magical. Probably one of the most accessible stars I've eaten at though left wanting to see a little more (and suspect the potential is there). It is a very popular place for a memorable, romantic evening.

Nice view over London and very good service. I would have given 5 stars if the wine was not so ridiculously expensive. I'm French and I know how much French, Spanish and Italian wines are worth. Please make an effort to sell them at a correct price.
