So beautiful I almost cried a little! This is definitely a romantic destination restaurant for people who are looking for aesthetics and fine service. The venue was smaller than I expected (which made it more intimate), but every bit as stunning: the fairy light studded foliage, the mirrors and the sky lights... just a dreamy, ethereal space. And the staff went above and beyond to make sure our evening was special. The menu is limited, and the food, whilst fine quality haute cuisine, would not have earned a 5* from me on its own. Seriously good, but not culinary perfection - wouldn't be worth the price without the service and ambience. Plus the wine markup is brutal! However, as a romantic dining experience, I think you'd struggle to top this in London. This is one is for a sparkly, luxurious experience rather than for hardcore foodies. Disclaimer: the food is in no way bad, very good in fact, but if that's what your primary concern is, there are other places that do it far better. Come here to propose, not for the tasting menu.

I spent two months booking for this lovey conservatory room and I can say definitely worth it. I believe this is one of the best spots in the restaurant. The service level is phenomenal, you will have a really polite and professional team serving you. Chicken is a bit salty for me but perfectly cooked, the wine list is beyond expectations, and the dessert is a harmonious combination of apple and berries. Nothing too sweat. Really refreshing. The environment is nothing but Wow…no wonder it is well-known for being romantic. Everything is perfectly presented. The room is warm enough for you to enjoy and relax and there is cloakroom avail for ladies.

My partner booked Clos Maggiore as a surprise - we had been planning to visit for over a year, and honestly, the wait was worth it! We both ordered the vegetarian tasting menu, and it was nothing but a delight. The food was delicious and the service was superb; there was even a sommelier who helped us pick the perfect wine with our meal. The atmosphere was fantastic and gorgeous, classy and romantic. We would definitely come here again.

Came for Christmas dinner. Atmosphere is excellent, very picturesque. Service is very good and very attentive. We had decent cocktails (Clos fashioned was nice). Bread rolls were quite delicious. Starters (crab tartlet and rabbit terrine) were ok. Tart was served cold, which was a surprise and disappointment. For mains, we ordered the duck breast and Cornish stone bass and a side of truffle mash. The mash was by far the best dish of the night (all that butter I guess). The duck was ok. Stone bass underwhelming, although the sauce was delicious. For dessert we shared the Valrhona Chocolate. We were impressed by how good it was, exceeding our expectations from the previous courses. In the whole, the food was good. Nothing amazing, and nothing to salivate over or recommend. The atmosphere and service are both excellent. You should set expectations accordingly. My most important tip, we reserved this months in advance. I assumed that meant we would be given a good table. Not so. I had the bright idea one day, as we visit the area regularly, to stop at the restaurant and ask for a ‘good table’. They moved us (presumably from a bad table) to the main dining area. I recommend you call to request a good table as first come, first allocated to the dining area does not necessarily apply.

Came here for my 30th birthday celebration - I had heard the vibes were good but food was average so I was pleasantly surprised when both the food was excellent and vibes were on point! We ordered the tasting menu which was absolutely delicious and Gilles took great care to explain each dish and made sure we could enjoy it to the fullest. Decorations were lovely and service was great - the dishes came fairly quickly after the previous course was finished, but didn't feel rushed, which is what I prefer. Would definitely come back - had a great time!

Most romantic restaurant in London. The decor, ambiance and service were all on point. The meal itself was delicious too. They accommodated my vegetarian wife’s diet and she also loved her meal. Located in a trendy neighborhood that’s great to walk at before or after the meal.

We were hosted by the wonderful Gilles. A super classic, authentic restaurant with a team of professionals. All the dishes we ate at the restaurant were rich in flavors, sophisticated (but not too much) and so so delicious. If you are in London you must run there.

We really enjoyed the masterpiece of this French restaurant. New Year's Eve dinner was so special and delicious. £400 for such a romantic dinner was value for money. After the welcoming bread, the first come out was an appetiser. Cornish crab, brown crab Aioli, Caviar. Different levels of taste appeared. The other one was Hereford steak tartaric, cured egg yolk. Both were super delicious. 5 stars Second in the menu was Scottish smoked salmon cannelloni, cured Loch duart salmon, trout roe champagne vinaigrette. 2 fantastic salmon taste. Both salmons were totally different but surprisingly compliment each other quite well. For the wine pairing, we were presented with wine from Loire Valley 2022, Lyon, 5 stars Third in the menu was my favourite and dying for. Pressed confit duck leg terrine, toasted pistachios, cranberry gel. The taste of duck was so out of this world. But toasted pistachios was too hard for me. The wine pairing from Beaujolais. 5 stars Fourth in the menu was Cronish Wild turbot, native lobster, cucumber, and caviar. My wife star of the night. She liked it so much until the last drop of the sauce. She was so attracted by the foam-alike that covered the whole dish. Wine pairing was from Brut Paris. Very special wine. 5 stars Rare breed beef fillet, Jerusalem artichokes, wild mushroom, Wiltshire black truffles was the fifth in the menu. Medium steak with great sauce. Conforting and addictive. Pairing wine from Bordeaux. 5 stars Lastly, come the dessert. It was just mediocre. But the wine was so special, kind of sweet wine with honey and apricot. Sauternes, Chateau Briatte, Bordeaux. Wonderful combination. 5 stars Each course comes out smoothly, on time, and excellent table service. Each course and wine was well explained. The total time taken was 2 hours.

Outstanding food outstanding service! The portions are perfectly sized so you can reasonably eat a starter, main, and side per person or share a few starters for your table. I ordered the duck and it was perfectly cooked to medium as I ordered. The green beans were wonderfully crisp and complimented both of our meals nicely. The starters were delicious, I highly recommend the scallops and heirloom tomatoes. Certainly order a cocktail as well, the presentation is so fun and whimsical. Otherwise, the service was exceptional. Angelo did a wonderful job especially considering he was the only server in the upstairs room that evening. Request Angelo and enjoy a relaxing meal!

The fabulous experience with delicious cuisine, amazing atmosphere, and great service! It’s also a good place to take some photos. Highly recommend people visit here. I and my friend had lunch set, ordering starters crabs radish and scallops, main dishes lamb, and dessert with something strawberry champagne soup as well as Vanilla Cream Brûlée. The scallops are fresh and the lamb is tender. Crabs and radish tastes refreshing. Desserts are good as well.

5 stars all round for Clos Maggiore conveniently located with Covent Garden. My wife and I were on our honeymoon in April 2023 and had been looking forward weeks in advance (we booked one while we were still in Singapore) to this lunch date, after our friend living in London highly recommended this as the most romantic restaurant in London. I am so glad she did! The service was excellent with the perfect level of attention for our table even as they were getting busy. The French-European cuisine was so sumptuous with its high quality ingredients. And the floral arrangements all over with the flower arch was beautiful for couple time and photo taking. Pleasantly surprised the meal was reasonably priced too! Thank you for such a lovely time 🙏🏻 It was a big highlight of our honeymoon!

Absolutely amazing!! A birthday treat for my wife, we had the set theatre menu which includes champagne! £195 for the three of us! we ordered 2 glasses of wine and extra desserts! The steak tartare being my favourite, a work of art and tasted divine! We will be going back to try the tasting menu! Thank you Clos Maggiore for a wonderful experience!

Me and my boyfriend had an anniversary dinner earlier this month here. I’ve been meaning to leave a review on this establishment but I kept forgetting to do so. Clos Maggiore has to genuinely be one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. The food was absolutely incredible every dish was seasoned to perfection. The inside of the restaurant was so beautiful, we were both in genuine awe. The service was impeccable also, with all the servers ensuring our water was constantly filled and ensuring we were having a good time. We had such an amazing evening here and for anniversary dinners there is nowhere I could recommend more than this place. We both want to say a massive thank you to every server that looked after us that evening and made our night that much better.

London’s most romantic restaurant is a special and luxuriant. Having dinner in the extraordinary conservatory” (where the glass roof opens on summer days and a warming fire is lit in the winter”) as that is how the magic happens and it needs to be booked many months in advance. Classic and well-presented French-inspired cuisine and the immense wine list. One of my favourite places in London.

We spent our anniversary here. The premises are beautiful, the waitresses are top notch. It should be taken into account that two people will not eat here for less than €200. The minus was that the waiter did not ask us if we would like a side dish with the main dish ☹️

A really lovely restaurant with impeccable service, I can't think of anywhere else I have been so well cared for. We ate from the set menu and the food was delicious, I would highly recommend the truffle mash side dish! They have an extensive wine list which ranges in price from approx £30 upwards. Warm bread rolls, beautifully presented dishes, fabulous staff, great ambience, comfortable seating, clean and sweet smelling toilets! I would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning. I would give more than five stars if it was possible!

Lovely restaurant with lovely staff. The food is exceptional (I had the asparagus soup and the chicken breast and they were both really good. In terms of deserts, if you’re not lactose intolerant I’d definitely recommend you skip the sweets and go for the charcuterie board - it’s divine. And do you know the best part? It was our anniversary and not only did they take into account our ask to stay near the fireplace but also offered us a celebratory cupcake. Thank you for being kind and for making us feel so welcomed. We’ll be definitely return. P.S.: they don’t serve the tasting menu after 9:30pm so bear that in mind if you would like to go for it.

10/10 Food and service! We were 30mins late to our anniversary booking for 5pm, staff were super helpful in holding our table during such a busy period. Although they said we would need to leave by 7pm, I assumed they would make us feel rushed out the door, but instead staff made us feel warm and welcome 🤗. Dinner was delicious, portion size was average, nothing overly large or annoyingly small. Decor was beautiful, filled with Christmas decorations whilst the fire logs burned in the centre of the room. I would describe it as cozy cabin in the city 🥂❤️ 10/10 would visit again

Had a nice weekend lunch here. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and the whole atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. Weekend set lunch menu is reasonably priced at £45pp, and a free glass of bubbles is a nice touch. I also appreciate they offered us extra buns of bread. The only negative for me was the dessert - pecan tart was slightly disappointing. Overall a good experience and would recommend it for weekend lunch.

We celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday here as a family. It was a wonderful experience all in all. The food was delicious, and especially aesthetically pleasing! We had beetroot and lentil soup as starters, and risotto, beef and duck breast as mains. Everyone’s been super satisfied with what they had. We then had cheesecake and some cheese as desserts. They even served a lovely small complimentary birthday cake as I mentioned the birthday in my reservation note. The staff was lovely!! Also the music was super smooth and nice. Can’t recommend enough, especially for special occasions.

Lovely 5-course tasting menu , together with classic wine pairing. Wonderful food presentation, like the scottish scallops most , the mustard seed for the lamb I s a bit too strong to my taste. A Great place for anniversary celebration. Good table distance and staff observe covid guidelines and all wear masks , makes us feel safe dining in this beautiful place . Can consider providing steamed hot towels or hand sanitiser to disinfect hands. Had to wait like 10 mins before staff came to the table and take order. Also , when consuming the second course , staff informed us that they ran out of the dessert ( apple ) for the tasting menu . During the 4th course , when I asked , they said the chef has replenished the apple dessert , only when I had the last course , they said the apple dessert ran out again and gave us the chocolate ones. A bit of confusion. Otherwise, service was really good and the staff helped take a lot of beautiful pictures . Reserve in advance .

This place had been on my date night list for a while and we finally made it last night. Our table was in the ‘flower’ room. It was so beautiful, cosy and romantic all at the same time. Staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was lovely. Food was absolutely divine - we went for the tasting menu. The chef combined the fish options from the ‘meat’ one and the veggie options from the vegetarian one for us. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve had. My partner felt the same. Would definitely recommend!

We went to Clos Maggiore first time about 8 years ago and we were already impressed by this venue then. We decided to go back and the experience was nothing short of incredible! The ambience of the restaurant is so intimate and classy. Food not only tastes delicious but the presentation is on point. Our server Laura was lovely, kind and knowledgeable. We had an anniversary lunch on a Sunday as we couldn’t get a table for 3-4 months for an dinner date due to the restaurant being fully booked. From the moment we were greeted at the door, and shown to our table the whole experience was very memorable. The menu may be a little limited for some, but we both found something we wanted and enjoyed. The atmosphere was relaxed yet you felt you could ask and get anything from the staff. I love my food and couldn’t fault the crab tartlet as a starter, then duck as a main. I didn’t have room for dessert - although the cheese looked very tempting. Highly recommended if you feel like spoiling yourself on a special occasion.

the holiday season decoration was perfect, food was good. price was also reasonable for weekday lunch set because it includes a glass of wine. was quite happy with overall experience. offered a mini cupcake cuz I stated it was a birthday celebration. minus one star is for the attitude of staff. I understand that some people might complain about their pictures taken accidentally so the waiters have to inform you that you should be careful when taking photos at the place. but the way he said it was somewhat rude and did not feel good about it.

We had the pre-theatre menu and everything from the food to the cocktails and the service was quite lovely. As you’re eating and drinking, the ambience gets better and better and the photos online really doesn’t do the restaurant justice ! If you want a truly romantic dinner, Clos Maggiore is the place to go !

I've been looking to visit your restaurant for a long time, but for one reason or another, it never happened. Finally, my boyfriend managed to surprise me with a table for my birthday! The whole venue is stunning, definitely very impressive and elegant but cozy and comfortable at the same time. We decided to go for the tasting menu which was absolutely a great choice. The food was delicious, my favourite was the scallop and the lamb! I also want to thank Silard, our sommelier who advised us with the best choice of wine!
