A little lacklustre dinner on a Sunday. I have no basis of comparison, so I'm judging based on my palate. We ordered the tasting menu, £35pp X 2. The first wave was toasted corn and pork belly. Both were very salty. The second was seabass cerviche and palm heart. Both very sour! The third wave of beef and octopus were pretty decent. Loved the spiciness of the beans and chorizo. The beef was done well. The last course of pumpkin doughnut and cinnamon ice cream had a good balance. Service was below average. It was difficult to get the waitstaff's attention. When we did one of them came with a dissatisfied look. The night was busy and we struggled to have an fluid and enjoyable meal. I'd try other Peruvian and pass a more just review in the future.

Ceviche is a Peruvian restaurant and initially I thought was something different to try when you are in Central London. Was a bit disappointed with the service was given, guess I was expecting a British style service but my starters came and we couldn’t finish all when the mains came. Although I think the concept here is tapas specific where food is served when they are readily cooked. The octopus portion was so small that if that was your main meal it’s not worth it. I don’t think it’s worth the price of coming here for this. Not worth coming for sure. It’s nice if you want to try something different in this restaurant.

Food is very good but a bit too pricey for what it is personally. We ordered a few things and I was really looking forward to the octopus chorizo, I was quite sad that the octopus were really small chunks and you get a big piece of chorizo in between. For £16.5 I expected much bigger pieces of octopus. I did really enjoy the beef heart skewers.

PERUVIAN TASTING MENU💃 . Do you want to try something different? Explore a new cuisine in the heart of Soho? Then @cevicheuk is the place for you 👌 Inspired by Lima’s bohemian Barranco neighbourhood they serve small sharing plates and amazing Pisco cocktails 🍸 They also have pre-theatre menus, set menus and bottomless lunch! 🙌 . We tried their Discovery Menu (£35pp) - items with ⭐️ we recommend the most: . 🌽Crunchy Corn 🐽Crispy pulled pork rolls ⭐️ 🐟Don Ceviche with sea bass ⭐️ 🥑Beetroot causa 🐙Grilled octopus and chorizo ⭐️ 🍗Chicken pachamanca 🍩Pumpkin doughnuts, cinnamon icecream ⭐️ . We also tried their Pisco sour cocktails which were all super refreshing! 🍹 . 📍CEVICHE, SOHO 🚇Closest station: Tottenham Crt Road or Leicester square

Went for a dinner on a Friday night. The bar and the restaurant were packed. Not uncomfortably so, but just figured it would be hard to get a seat without reservations. The food, service, waiting time, prices, and general ambience were really good. Never felt like we had to wait. Staff were always nearby and checking in regularly. All the starters we had were pretty good. Favourite would have to be the crispy chicken and beef heart. Calamari was yum too, but when is it ever not? 😉 For the main I ordered the grilled octopus and chorizo -- and that was incredible. If you can eat meat, get it. You won't regret it. All in all, a good experience, one I'd be tempted to return for.

Average dining experience. The food wasn’t that amazing for the price. My favourites were the corn cake and the mushroom stew.

This restaurant is really good. The quality of the ingredients is very high and the dishes are delicious and unique and authentic. The drinks are nice, the service is very friendly. And it’s reasonably price. Everything you’d want in a restaurant. One of my favourite in London

As a Latin American individual who loves to cook, I was super excited to come and eat here. It was good. We had three of the ceviches. One was on point. The other two needed work. The citrus was way overdone and not as layered in flavour as leche de tigre in Peru. The anticuchos were fantastic and the donuts were yummy. It’s on the pricey side for the portion size.

Food is not bad, but not outstanding. The fried chicken was nice. This place is good for gluten-free diets! Service was excellent. Prices are reasonable.

Went there in a group and we ordered the set menu. Some really cool twists and surprises for me and my tastebuds. I do recommend this place highly.

First time to Ceviche Soho and Peruvian food experience, and I can't be more than happy! Amazing food and the guy who was taking care of us he was very friendly, helpful, and polite. Thank you to Demetri! 😊

Great place for dinner with friends. The food is good, but not fantastic. I liked the ambience, and it wasn't too loud to have a conversation. Atmosphere seemed pretty relaxed overall. Service was good as well, with dishes arriving without too much of a wait - very friendly staff! Some of the cocktails were on the small side though. Would come back here :)

Disappointed by food quality for price point. Sea bass and steak were good but ceviche was not good - fish tasted chewy and too much acid used with not enough counterbalance. The drink was good but multiple glasses of wine were off. Good selection of celiac friendly options

Enjoyed the food, I had a couple of starters, the pork rolls and the chicken and specially the latter was delicious and different. I also felt the portion sizes were good. However, my mocktail was a joke. @£6.50 for the smallest glass I've ever seen with mostly froth and barely any drink. I regret not complaining about it as it was ridiculous. Other than that, lovely food.

Food was alright, but too expensive for what it was. Predinner drinks where good. The wine was alright, but the first glass was off. Place was cute, but pretty loud

  • 1/5 Joseph M. 4 months ago on Google • 13 reviews
Loud, bad quality of food and they don’t even care about managing the restaurant in a good way nor improving. No responses to people messages and critics, they simply don’t care about it. The price for the Peruvian corn was so high and the pisco taste was not pisco but felt more like aguardiente. I am sure instead of answering they just dedicate themselves to remove comments. Very arrogant - this is not a real Peruvian place, don’t fall into this tourist trap - Peruvian food and drinks are better.

Been coming here for a while. A very good Peruvian restaurant in London. Very good ceviche and the price is not bad specially for the quality and presentation of the food.

I had a lunch here with a friend last Friday and it was a lovely time. Food quality is very good with pulled pork roll being the highlight. We had pisco sour, one raspberry and one passion fruit flavour, both was nice. Service was great. Ambience wise, the room can be a little bit brighter and if something can be done to stop cigarette smell getting inside the room, it would have been perfect. Overall I’d recommend.

This is literally my partner and I's favourite restaurant in Central London. Fantastic food, service and vibe, and like nowhere else we've been. Just seen it's closing though? Devastated. :(

One of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is superb, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, the margaritas perfect. I would highly recommend the discovery menu as this will give you a taste of everything and you can add extra dishes as you go along sampling the peruvian cuisine.

  • 3/5 Eashani C. 2 years ago on Google
Was really looking forward to trying this place out. The staff are lovely but the food was a bit of a let down. The ceviche was delicious and I guess it's what they're known for. The small plates were rather basic though. The price was fair for the food so that's a plus. The drinks were good. It got very loud by 7:30pm so I could barely hear my friend speak. Nice to try somewhere different though.

Jazzy place serving Peruvian ceviche with a yellow special recipe tiger sauce. Friendly staff. Great location. Cool place to just hang around in a casual mood with your friends. Portions are small so it’s better to order a few for everybody to nibble. Definite recommendation!

I must say I'm not a fan of fish, specially not raw fish. I must also say I liked the ceviche here, and will probably come back for more. Everything was delicious and super fresh, and the lady serving us was very nice and gave us some great advice for choosing our food and drinks.

  • 5/5 Natalie M. 3 years ago on Google
One of my favourite restaurants, always superb service and delicious food. Try the discovery menu and order more of what you like as you go along, and most definitely sample a well made cocktail or three.

This adorable restaurant has an upscale yet homey vibe to it. They offer tapas style dishes as well as full size mains. We tried a bit of both and were pleasantly surprised. Portions are decent sized and food was very flavorful. Tables are close together but we weren't bothered. Would recommend for a nice date night if you want to try something new!

Food is not the greatest. Definitely does not resemble what a Peruvian ceviche is. I bit disappointed with that. Hope customer's reviews help to improve the quality of food. Staff was polite and helpful though.

Had heard that this place is affordable but when you realise how small the portions are it really isn't! This photo shows one of the ceviche dishes which is very pretty but so small and cost £7. Maybe if they made it more clear that you need to order a few plates each it would make more sense. Also there are a few vegan options but no desserts.

  • 4/5 Hélène C. 3 years ago on Google
The pisco sours are great and the food is also very nice. However portions are really small and quite pricey for what you get.

  • 4/5 Claudio M. 3 years ago on Google
We enjoyed a nice meal here - restaurant has cool decor and a nice vibe. Service was fairly laid back so no one asked us if we enjoyed our meal until we paid the bill. Still was friendly enough. We enjoyed a delicious sea bass bao bun and a less enjoying pork roll to stat then waited quite a while for the ceviche, not that we were in any sort of a hurry. It was a busy night too, so understandable.. The Don ceviche (seabass) was excellent - flavours were amazing. The tune ceviche was lacking more delicate and as we shared, the seabass flavours totally overpowered the tuna so it felt alike it was missing something. All in all though, a nice evening!

Came on a Sunday night so place wasn’t too busy. With the new street closures, we were able to sit outside Whixh was fab! Ordered a mixture of starters, ceviche and mains. For starters we had the sea bass bao bun ( nice but a little expensive for what it is), chicken wings (delicious and a good portion size), pork rolls (pork was a little bland but the accompanying sauce was great). For ceviche we had the salmon (delicious) and their signature sea bass (kind of odd, weird presentation - not a fan) For mains we had tried the flambé beef (delicious, so tender and the chips were crispy and yum. Definitely must order), The squid (also delicious and super tender), the eggplant (nice but nothing special) and the chicken (very strong flavours Of coriander, a bit too overpowering) We also tried their pisco sours- a little on the small side especially as half the cup is egg white but the flavours were on point! A good meal but portions aren’t large so we ended up ordering more so the bill was on the high side

I looked forward to returning here. It's safe to say I wasn't disappointed. The service was brilliant and the dishes I had were delicious. There was a slight billing error at the end, but this was quickly rectified by staff. The atmosphere was very flat early on, but the place really started coming alive towards the end of my meal.

  • 4/5 Iza R. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent food and service but they are not COVID-proof, waiters have no masks and approach too closely so we didn’t really feel secure. Hope it will change as it would be great to come back! Mushroom stew (last photo) is to die for, even if this was the only item on the menu I would eat there every day! Great place for vegans.
