Before
reading
the
review,
if
you
do
read
it,
please
understand
I
have
nothing
to
compare
this
'experience'
to.
For
my
wife
and
I
this
was
our
first
fine
dining
experience.
Don't
get
me
wrong,
we've
been
to
some
lovely
places
but
have
always
paid
about
a
quarter
of
the
prices
on
this
particular
menu.
Also,
having
never
frequented
anywhere
as
grand
as
a
restaurant
on
the
top
of
the
Hilton
Hotel,
I
was
a
little
nervous
as
to
how
a
regular
everyday
working
man
from
Yorkshire
would
feel
and
would
be
treated.
Any
thoughts
or
fears
were
quashed
immediately
as
we
stepped
out
of
the
lift.
We
were
greeted
warmly,
and
being
a
little
early,
asked
if
we
would
like
to
have
a
drink
first
in
the
10⁰
Bar
adjacent.
We
took
up
the
offer
and
that
was
also
amazing,
see
separate
review.
From
that
very
first
step
onto
the
top
floor,
to
the
step
back
into
the
lift,
the
staff
were
impeccable
As
we
were
shown
to
our
table
with
a
window
view
all
staff
acknowledged
our
passing
with
a
smile
and
a
hello.
We
truly
felt
like
royalty.
We
ordered
our
drinks
to
start
and
then
our
main
courses.
We
were
considering
the
taster
menu
but
wasn't
sure
if
we'd
manage
5
courses,
the
minimum.
A
good
decision
too
as
we
were
given
some
appetisers
followed
by
a
small
bread
selection
before
our
mains
arrived.
We
were
asked
many
times
if
we
needed
anything
else,
drinks
etc,
but
by
no
means
was
there
any
pressure
to
order.
For
my
main
I
had
Hogget,
farced
saddle,
boulangere,
wild
garlic
&
sheep’s
curd
with
a
side
Pomme
purée.
It
came
presented,
as
you'd
expect,
like
a
work
of
art.
The
taste
was
extraordinary.
As
said
previous,
I
have
never
dined
anywhere
near
as
luxurious
before,
so
I
have
nothing
to
compare
it
to,
so
I
can't.
If
asked
if
it
was
worth
4
or
5
times
what
I
would
normally
pay
for
a
main
course,
absolutely
yes.
An
absolute
delicious
attack
on
your
taste
buds.
My
wife
had
Cornish
cod
A’la
grenobloise,
kohlrabi,
sourdough.
I
can't
say
how
nice
she
found
it,
I
know
she
did,
she
really
enjoyed
it
and,
again,
came
presented
extremely
well.
For
dessert
I
had
Poire
William,
Jivara
chocolate,
eau
de
vie,
mascarpone.
This
was
presented,
again,
amazingly
well
and
was
a
ball
of
ice
cream,
encased
in
another
ball
of
ice
cream
surrounded
by
a
shell
of
'something'
topped
with
a
wafer,
cream
and
gold
leaf.
My
wife
had
Duck
egg
custard
tart,
Yorkshire
rhubarb,
lemon
balm.
Yes,
it
was
an
egg
Custard
really
fancilly
presented
but
tasted
like
no
other
egg
Custard
before.
All
in
all
an
absolutely
fantastic
2hrs.
There's
a
15%
service
charge
added
but
I
added
more
myself.
Without
hesitation
and
without
doubt
would
I
would
recommend

Absolutely
