This used to be one of my favourite places for food but it has gone down considerably in my opinion. Food not available and service has gone down hill. Ordered on app and after 20 minutes had to go and ask for our drinks. Was nearly 30 minutes before food arrived and was quite disappointing. Poor portion sizes compared to previous visits. Hopefully this is just a blip and not an ongoing trend for this pub!

Undoubtedly my favourite Wetherspoons pub so far. Very clean and well laid out. Fantastic provisions for social distancing. Extremely friendly and helpful staff serving exceptionally tasty, hot and reasonably priced food. There's a car park right opposite which is handy if you're not visiting on foot. Once seated, ordering was a breeze as I always use their app. The food was delivered very quickly and the portions were good. The male restroom was spotless and maintained to the highest standards too. I'm sure I'll be visiting here more frequently when in the area. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Steak was inedible. Asked for it medium it came more than well done. Apparently fresh off the grill yet had no grill marks. May as well have boiled the steak. Good drinks at a tidy price, really like the pitchers. After drinking in spoons me and my mates went another pub, came back to spoons after about an hour only to be told they don’t accept college ID as proof of age. This is fair enough, I can respect the rules. But when we were literally there drinking an hour earlier this is such a joke. It was a meme bet of staff who had clearly just come on shift and had an attitude problem. We explained we were there drinking earlier so it shouldn’t be an issue and a number of the staff who had served us earlier in the day came and vouched for us. Despite this the member of staff who was dealing with us refused to serve us. On top of all that he then told us we had to leave as it was past 9pm. Absolute joke this member of staff was. Usually have a good time at spoons…

Food weatherspoons standard. I had fried breakfast and a coffee. Breakfast nice, apart from sausages, bit dry. Staff nice and pleasant. Atmosphere was mainly locals vibe.

The food is so up and down, but its not even day by day it's meal by meal, what I mean by this is one side of the family could have a nice dinner and the other half could be stone cold and not what they ordered. The inconsistency is incredible. Cheap and cheerful, it is spoons after all. Staff are not bad, not the worst spoons staff I've encountered.

Pub 6/13 of our Golden Mile! Now, I don’t know if the drinks were truly hitting the spot by now, but this was one of my best Spoons encounters to date. The pint was perfect and their curry and chips were the best I’ve had from there! Even decided to throw a cocktail in for good measure! Drink up, let’s boo boo!

It's fine. You know what you're getting. They have daily specials. Skinny burger was decent and scampi was nice. It's always a safe choice

Veryyy lively atmosphere, a little too loud. Food was good but let down in places. Five bean chilli on jacket potato was cold, garlic bread was undercooked and super greasy. Chicken strips and loaded chips were great though so made up well!!

Nathan was our server this afternoon and we felt he deserved his own review as he welcomed us with an amazing atmosphere took the time to understand our order although it was completed, and easily gave us everything we needed, he is an asset to your team!

Drinks were good and fantastic value. The tables were manky and the food okay only. I know "spoons" can be good as a chain. I was a regular in Warminster and have dined a few times in two "Spoons" in Weymouth, all of whom have been fantastic in cleanliness, prices and quality.

Myself and two guests had a nice meal at Wetherspoons Aberdare and the free refills of tea, coffee and chocolate are a nice touch. It was quite busy when we were there but the service was great, the staff were friendly and efficient, We didn't have to wait long for our food. It was an enjoyable visit and good value for money.

To be honest, I wouldn't take my dog to this place to eat off the floor. The staff was lazy. All I wanted was a hot drink, 20 minutes later they refined the Auto hot drinks machine, Then waited 10 minutes for a clean cup. It's pretty much the last decent pub grub you'll find in this beautiful Village. It's because of Wetherspoons all the other pubs has vanished just like the American Indians. Witherspoons isn't your friendly Village pub, It's to strip our Villages of all its competitors. This towns turning into a Ghost Town. War memorials on every corner. It's so pretty and a very friendly Villagers. It's a shame Wetherspoons is taking over. If you don't support Wetherspoons it will shut down & you will have your Village pubs back. Your council is to blame for the break up of your beautiful Village lifestyle. If your looking for honesty. Forget Wetherspoons food & buy Iceland It's cheaper & the 🍽 cutlery will be properly cleaned.

Slave treatment of the poor staff. Skeleton crew run ragged. No wonder hospitality industry can't hire staff. Dirty tables uncleared of plates. Blame lies firmly with the employer NOT the staff. COME ON WETHERSPOON. UP YOUR GAME. YOU TREATED STAFF APPALLINGLY WITH COVID AND SACKED THEM ALL. INCREASE SALARIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS.

It's a Wetherspoons. Food is cheap, looks cheap and tastes cheap. Coffee is really bitter, but you can get a refillable cup that opens the world of tea and chocolate (when it's available). Ladies loos are located upstairs up the weirdest staircase I've seen in a while. Disabled loo is on the upper ground floor, if you're wheelchair bound, you'll need to come in via the back. Service is fab. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

We come here regularly for the fab Weatherspoons breakfast with unlimited hot drinks. We use the table app, sit down, order on your smart phone and the food and drinks appear promptly. The staff here are great, very quick service, delicious food and overall a friendly pub!

10 of us went there for a few drinks and the child's area was in a complete mess with food and drinks everywhere, we had to go to another area and there were plates and food on a few more tables left there so we had to move a few clean small tables together to accommodate us. The "clean" tables still had some food and stickiness on them and we had to wipe them over OURSELVES. After we finished our drinks none of the other tables in the children area or by us had still been cleaned and we were there well over 1 hour, and who knows how long the tables had been like that before we got there. Place is very dirty and I wouldn't recommend anyone going there.

Nice cold fresh beer. Fish was very small though and skimpy on chips. Lovely Manager on duty, always pleasant and helpful even when she's busy.

Table was dirty when we sat down nothing major salt, water rings etc. Something you think they'd sort when they cleared the table previously. Ordered some basic food, All Day Brunch using the app, delivered drinks quickly food shortly after, food was warm not hot. All in all it was ok, not great I'd go back but I wouldn't recommend the place

Lovely mixed grill as always, steak was cooked just right despite it being thin. Well done chef! Beer variety here is amazing.
