A small but very enjoyable walk around Treharris park. Lovely wood carvings dotted around the park. The rhododendrons were stunning. A great little find. Dogs welcome but must be under control.

A Magical Park that is being conserved and restored by a group of people called Lark in the Park. We meet every Thursday at 10.30am at the gates- on hold currently. Come along to see this Edwardian Lady. The council led team are still restoring during lockdown. Ponds have been restored and carvings happening. Much planned for the future with projects for each section and hopefully more future events. Over the last 2 years a series of work has begun. Just breathe in the beauty.

An absolute beauty of a park, what a hidden gem. It would make a fantastic events and wedding venue. Would love to see a cafe or snack shack, more litter bins and additional play equipment to the paddling pool and swings area. The toilets need to be open. The kids still loved playing here, including hide and seek. Great for picnics. Massive football and rugby pitches.

Love the park but lack of regular toilet facilities is a pain. I understand the problem during covid but it was just as bad before the epidemic started. Somewhere to have a coffee regularly in the main park would be good too.

It was a nice, very hilly park with steep hills to climb. We enjoyed the wood carvings and plenty of seats to sit down. But for someone who hasn’t been there before we didn’t know that there was a small car in the park, as there was no sign to say car park this way. I stopped the gardeners van and asked. So we drove through the gates and then we were still lost finding the car park. So I had to ask again which road to take. It’s very confusing for new comers. Maybe try and make it a bit more friendly with sign posts pointing the way as it was up the top way at the back. All the workers there were very friendly and helpful though.

Fantastic place with views over to the Welsh Coal mining experience and Gelliwion mountain. A waterfall is spectacular when there has been heavy rainfall. Just head to the top road from the path

Beautiful park with a blend of ancient, natural forest mixed with new and managed plants and flowerbeds. For a small park it has a good number of features, including a bandstand and a paddling pool. There are streams and a waterfall, and nice wood carvings dotted around the path. Shame there's dogs mess everywhere along the paths. Otherwise, it's good place to bring young kids to kill an hour or so. There are a couple of swings, a small slide and some new/modern outdoor instruments for the little ones to bang away at. Weird that most of the good stuff is outside of the play area fencing.

Lived in the area for a few years and it's a cool place to walk the dogs. The only issue was finding rubbish kids leave behind. Especially by the old band stand.

Love the place, nice to see more people up there today. Just wish there was more for the kids.

Great Park and lovely to see volunteers restoring the forgotten place be nice to see if the council restore the things like tennis courts Park and zip line and bowling green would also love to see if the cannons could be restored and maybe fetch similar back like when I was a child

Lovely quiet park, nice to walk round with the kids, couple of swings, lovely paths to walk round and find the many wooden carved sculptures, bandstand and cannon. Unfortunately its been left by the council so there are no toilets open, the once popular swim pool is no longer in use and the bowls club and tennis court has been shut down. Such a lovely place to spend time but very neglected. New trees have been planted by local community trying to fund it to keep it open. Such a shame the council have neglected to see what a hidden gem to the local people that need such a lovely place to take their children to walk and play. Top two fields open space for rugby or football. Really tight turning we missed it twice as it is signposted but on a white board and if coming from opposite direction you will not be able to make the turn, it looks like a lane or someone's driveway.

Lovely walk, quite hilly. Very quiet. Our favourite Sunday morning walking spot. Beautiful trees and flowers.
