Stayed for a couple of nights on a trip to Bike Park wales. Six of us stayed, our room had plenty of space, a recent refurbished ensuite, was clean and tidy. Nice dining area with kettle, microwave and fridge, bottled water and fresh orange along with breakfast bits. The bike store is locable with power for an ebike charger, parking right outside. Landlord very helpful. We will be staying here for the next trips.

I don't usually write reviews, but this place was so good I had to! Probably one of the friendliest places I've been too. We are currently having a family/friends get-together for a family members 40th birthday at a local campsite. We decided on the Saturday night to go to the pub for food and drink. We got there quite late, and they weren't serving food. However, the lovely gent behind the bar (presumably the landlord) said we were more than welcome to order in a takeaway to eat inside the pub. He even gave a recommendation for a local chinese and offered to call them for us. When the food arrived, he even brought out plates, cutlery, and napkins for us. The place itself had a friendly atmosphere, drinks were cheap, and tasted great 👍 After spending a couple of hours there, some of us (we were a large group) asked him to order a taxi to take us back to campsite. He tried to call but couldn't get through, so he drove us up there himself!!! If you want to experience Welsh hospitality at its finest, this is the place to go!

Stopped for a quick pint after BPW, very friendly barman gave us some top notch places to try for food, which we did!

Fancied a nice pint in an offbeat pub, got there about 1 pm today, was closed and looked like it is no longer a pub. Please correct me if I am wrong ? Seems so many pubs , listed on Google maps are closed, post Covid.

Stayed here as the boss booked us lodgings while working away. We were absolutely thrilled when we walked in to so such a welcome pub, and even more delighted to see our accommodation. Pete has shown a true passion for how he maintains his venues! We are absolutely booking here for a holiday later this year!!

2nd visit to this little pub tucked away in Abercanaid. Owners have expanded to make this also a bunkhouse with easy access to Bike Park Wales. Freindly reception. Nice pint. Good price. Very clean. Watched the rugby and hot dogs at half time. Thanks. Will be back.

Booked here for a recent trip to BikePark Wales, the accommodation was great with everything you could need and even a room to store our bikes. Peter and his wife were so friendly and accommodating nothing was an issue, pub downstairs was great and cheap prices. Will definitely be returning next time we book the BikePark amazing

This is the perfect spot for visiting The Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales and so much besides. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds really comfortable. Nice modern, spacious bathrooms with great showers. The breakfast area has all the essentials for a quick, simple breakfast and a plentiful supply of coffee, biscuits, water, fresh milk etc. Peter is an amazing host and the pub is really friendly too.

Night out at the Colliers Arms whilst staying at Gethin Lodge for a weekend at Bike Park Wales. A really friendly welcome and good banter with the landlord and locals. The beer was perfect and good value. They don't serve food but encouraged us to order a takeaway and get it delivered to the pub. It takes a while to get the takeaway delivered so order as soon as you arrive if you're hungry.
