It's really hard to fault anything about this place. I just wish I lived nearer. Top-class trails are all immaculately maintained with some great features. Facilities are outstanding with decent food choices and spacious areas to sit. Staff were all friendly , particularly the workshop staff, who happily fixed a gear issue on my bike. The only downside is that the uplift takes quite a while, so get there early. I can't wait to return.

About to visit for fourth time, amazing place for riding, over forty trails so caters to all abilities, reasonable coaching & uplift bundles available too, friendly helpful staff (particularly with getting bikes on trailers). The uplift service is continous, access and parking is good, the shop, cafe & facilities are relatively new and well maintained, the jet washing station is a nice touch. Only downside I've encountered is sometimes a trail is shut due to work being done on it. It would be cool in future if there was a gondola like at Fort William.

Awesome place to visit. Worth the journey if you are travelling a long distance. Ideally spend a couple of days and stay locally or do on the way to another bike park. There is definately enough different runs to make it 2 days. The up lift is well worth it and you should book in advance especially in peak season. The runs are amazing and well maintained. The whole bike seems to be well run and the staff friendly and helpful. The food is okay and the beer was excellent ! I will be going again.

Great centre for mountain biking. The runs are great the atmosphere is fantastic very nice food at lunchtime (get in before 13:30 for more manageable queues 😉) and decent coffee with lovely cakes. The lifts up are very efficient, my son who spent a day and half says he barely waiter to go up. He could do 8 runs easily on a morning. I did the "ticket to ride" morning which was a brilliant introduction to mountain biking (which I've never done before) - all kit provided, we got 3 runs down Kermit which is both beautiful and so much fun to ride. Will definitely be back again. There was some confusion when I enquired in person about ticket to ride and was told it's full and you have to book 4 months in advance. I'm glad I checked online and corrected them that they do have availability. Nearly missed this wondeful experience. Similarly - I was told the kit does not included gloves and was guided to go and by a pair. Thankfully I didn't (but arranged to borrow) because on the day gloves were indeed supplied, so this could have been an expensive mistaken information. Apart from these two small frustration - fabulous place.

Had a great time having gone on a Monday so nice and quiet compared to the weekend. Was never waiting more than 5 mins for the uplift as there's always one waiting and ready. Shout out to Tracey who was super helpful in recommending routes to us throughout the entire day, really really nice guy. Will return, thanks AJ Tracey, Mr Live and Direct

My first time here on Saturday with a friend, we both absolutely loved it, we did all the blue runs apart from one. Found the trails very easy to follow and the way whole park was run is very similar to a decent ski resort, even down to the deck chairs and music playing at the main buildings. Very professionally run with a great hire department. We will definitely be returning.

We've had an excellent couple of days spent in beautiful Wales. Is there anywhere better in the UK for mountain bikers? We are novice bikers and thoroughly enjoyed our two days. Green routes are fun, blue routes a little harder and the reds we tried were a real challenge for us. We had one minor accident and the first aiders at base camp were fantastic. Patched us up and got us back on our way quickly and very efficiently. Thank you! Plenty of car parking and cafe/toilet facilities are surprisingly modern and clean. Check in was fast and easy. The Uplift is a must, the climb on a bike would be a challenge in itself. We never had to wait for a bus and the ten minutes bus ride to the top is essential if you plan on spending the day here. We will definitely be back!!

Brilliant. Love this place. The trails are first class and there’s something for everyone. I’m firmly a wheels on the ground type rider and absolutely love the more flowy trails, they’re utterly grin-inducing. The staff are great too - always helpful & friendly. The uplift itself is run very efficiently, and I don’t think I ever had to wait more than 30 seconds (this was a mid week visit - but even at weekends the wait isn’t horrendous). Even when the weather turns nasty and it’s lashing it down the trails drain really well - just chuck on your waterproofs and off you go. Can’t wait to go back.

Great day out as usual! Grades of trail for everyone from kids to pros. Clear information on all the trails, really good if you want to progress your skills. Well organised uplift, even when fully booked the wait is just a few minutes. Good selection of choices on the cafe menu, and all the essentials in the on site bike shop.

Amazing place, the selection or trails is unbelievable. Staff very friendly, facilities excellent, the uplift is super fast I think the longest we waited was around 2 minutes, and this was on good Friday in fantastic weather. Can't recommend enough 🤙

Our first visit. Both my son and I had a brilliant day! Great weather. Very dry and dusty, which brought its own challenges. Will definitely be back 😁

What an amazing place, well organized regards booking in and uplifts! If anything knee pads and elbow pads are a must!!, so easy to come off and do damage. Big thanks to the medical guy for patching me up, great guy! Can't wait to go again 🙌 One thing for management personnel think Merthyr rocks shouldn't be blue run, it needs to be a red!

Brilliant bike park, sets the bar very high in every department. Uplift pass was fantastic and highly recommended, bike hire was great, and the shop was well stocked. Every inch of trail was brilliant. Will definitely return.

Impressive set up. Very organised, knowledgeable and professional staff. Great cafe and good amount of covered rest areas and seating. Needs more, better parking, but otherwise this place is superb.

Great bike park and even better bike and hire shop. The staff are super friendly and the hire bikes are well maintained and suited to the local trails. They even were happy to wash my own bike for me as a favour. Highly recommend

I'm only starting my mtb journey but this place is definitely a must on the list for absolutely anybody. Staff is great and very chill. Good vibe, overall great place to spend weekend and forget about everything !

Fab area for MTB, lots to do. A couple of novice green trails. Fun rolling blue trails and more challenging red and black trails. Nothing like this where I live, happy to travel 2 hours for fun. The uplift is reasonably well organised although there are times when drivers are on breaks and the queue stacks up.

This place just keeps getting better and better - trails are always good (and now more of them) and the Visitors centre has got bigger and improved since my last visit 3 years ago. On top of that, I had an issue with my rear brake, the onsite workshop bled the brake and had me back on the trails in 30 minutes (while I had lunch) - great place, great people running it - the uplift drivers were all awesome too. Thanks - see you again soon.

We love Bike Park Wales! We're quite local but don't get the chance to go often now that the uplift more expensive, but it's always a fantastic day out. The trails are great (though I tend to stick to the blues). The staff are brilliant, really welcoming and friendly, and the facilities have really been taken up a notch with the latest investment. For me the only negative has been the installation of speakers outside at the Visitor Centre/Cafe/at the uplift. I found the music being played really intrusive and impossible to get away from, and quite disappointing given it would be nice to just enjoy the lovely countryside in peace. The music at the uplift and on the buses was really loud too, so I'd recommend anyone with sensory issues go armed with earplugs. I'll definitely be taking some next time. The only thing that could really be improved are the toilet and changing facilities. More than 2 ladies toilets and a changing room would be a great addition.

Fantastic day MTB with uplift that literally never stopped all day. Very Short waits and well maintained tracks. Reds fun and technical, blues fast and flowing. Staff friendly and helpful. Facilities were perfect. Finishing with a beer on the patio was perfect end to a perfect day. Mate borrowed a bike which was excellent. Only negative was price was very high for hire compared to other bike parks.

Our team (BIKEDOGGS) have been visiting the park since it first opened in 2013. It is our annual pilgrimage from Sussex, sometimes we make a couple of visits (always a whole weekend of awesome riding). The park and facilities have grown as have the variety of trails for all abilities and whatever the weather. We are already looking forward to our next visit in 2024, maybe before! Our June action packed weekend this year in the sun did not disappoint. I can’t wait to share this experience soon with my children. Thank you to all of the BPW team. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely amazing place, really well ran park. Came on my own for the weekend and joined the womans social ride on the Sunday. Barely any waiting for the uplift managed 8 runs on both days, staff were super friendly and helpful. Really happy with the bike workshop who fitted back brake pads for me at the end of Saturday so I was good to go first thing Sunday. Ladies day was awesome and the cake was amazing. Always leave this place with a smile, the trails are well maintained and great for progression. Added bonus was the photographer was about and got me some great action shots. Keep up the good work guys and gals you should be proud of yourselves.

I love BPW. It caters for a wide range of abilities from absolute beginners to pro riders and everyone in between. I have had coaching here and Justin and Griff are incredible at improving riding skills and confidence. Huge car park, cafe, shop, repair shop, bike hire, bike wash, bike uplift service which is recommended as its surprisingly tiring going downhill all day! The trails are being improved all the time, and are graded green, blue, red and black, similar to a ski resort. Knee pads are recommended. You don't have to wear a full face helmet, most beginners don't, more experienced riders do. Final advice... Pray for good weather.

A fantastic place to visit, a must for all mountain bikers to experience the trails. The whole center is extremely well organised, getting your uplift passes is straight forward, the uplift itself is easy once you first get shown. The trail grading is spot on all maintained really well and didn't have any problems with any of the trails grading it's nice to know you're going up in gradual increments if you wish too. The food was amazing it was actually the best food I had my entire stay all reasonably priced too. All the staff were happy to help and very welcoming. The only criticism is the way the bike repair shop takes bookings so you're unable to get any trail repairs done on site no matter how small of a job it is. I was told they're booked up for a week which isn't much help to people riding the trails, I understand it's a business that needs to make money so want to always be busy working on bikes but maybe if they have 1 bike engineer spare to help people riding the trails that day it would be a great help. However this didn't ruin my days riding i just had to get my bike repaired at an external bike shop. I would most definitely visit BPW again next year it's a great place to ride with immaculate vibes everywhere you go.
