Central Guest House is a nice enough though a tad expensive hotel at the top of a very steep mountain. Got a very warm welcome from Denise who was very helpful. I had an en suite room which was clean but a bit dated which had a great view of the surrounding area. There is a communal lounge with a microwave etc and also communal shower room. Make sure you get your handbrake tightened before you stay here! I would definitely stay here again but won't get as drunk in the village and then have to tackle that hill!

A lovely B&B with a warm welcome. The rooms we had (a double and a twin) were both nicely furnished, with comfortable beds and spotless en-suites. The included breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay again.

Booked to stay 3 nights at a very reasonable price, The owners are fantastic, easy to talk to and very accommodating. Although there was a problem with my booking (was booked in for two rooms despite only booking one and being a solo traveller this fault was either last minute or Expedia messed up not the owners) The room I’ve been in is very clean and well maintained, same for the en-suite bathroom, hot and cold water. The bed is awesome, mattress is very comfortable along with the duvet and pillows, the optional breakfast again amazing. The building itself is very clean and well maintained. Overall I would highly recommended this place if you’re ever in the Cardiff/Rhondda area, as great links to the valleys via the A470, trains or bus

Excellent rooms and facilities. Very good customer care. Location is lovely... with beautiful sights. Good parking. Top of a hill and near to A470.

Denise is a lovely woman and super friendly. So friendly and owns a lovely B and B, would genuinely say it was a pleasant experience spending my time there, while working in the area.

I received a very warm welcome, the owners John and Denise are both lovely and have kept a beautiful B&B to a high standard. Rooms are beautiful, ideal location, lovely shower and en suite. Very happy with the service I received during my stay, thank you very much!

Lovely place. Charming hosts and very comfortable rooms. Only downside is it's at the top of a steep hill. I used a taxi service.

A comfortable B&B that sits at the top of a very steep hill. Car parking available at the front of the house, make sure your handbrake is fully functioning. Denise the owner is welcoming, the rooms are basic but comfortable and breakfast is served in a cozy dining room. For me the ensuite shower was great, water was hot and plentiful. No fluctuations, stayed hot throughout. Good location for a quick visit to see our friends and the sat nav got us there without a problem. If we need to visit the area again then would check if we could be accommodated here before we looked elsewhere. One point to note, at the time of writing this review, the card machine is out of action so cash is needed to settle the bill.

I would personally not recommed this b&b! I had just been evicted with a baby and 2 young children. I was told not to eat in bedroom and also not to eat in the lounge. No kitchen facilities upstairs for young families with babies as need microwave so had to run down the stairs at 1am and 4am to do a bottle for my baby. I was placed their by the council for 4 nights so had no choice. Partner used to travel from barry every day to help me but he was left outside plenty of times in the rain whilst waiting for me then when I was moving out a young girl approached me and she said you are aloud visitors but only in the day time which is clearly acceptable. Sometimes we’d walk around in the rain thinking of somewhere to go when he could of come inside for a coffee and helped with my baby etc.
