Lovely place with a gorgeous view, there's also an old church and cemetery right next to the pub, the cemetery is open to the public. Fun Fact: famous Welsh runner Guto Nyth Bran is buried here

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday and had the lamb shank. Best I've ever had, slow roasted , tender and so flavourful. Great service as well.

I love this place. Everyone loves this place on the top of a mountain beautiful views driving up, I used to walk up with my parents a long time ago, so lovely people, beautiful beer garden, pet friendly, plenty of places surrounding to walk the dog. I drive up now many years later (I moved away), and it's still as lovely as it was. Very comfy and friendly with open fires 5*

Visited on a Sunday for Sunday lunch, celebrating a birthday. Excellent day out...good service and food and the girls serving seemed more than happy in their job even though they were very busy. Tidy size car park...we came up from Graigwen, and have to say a terrible road and was advised to go back to Pontypridd/Cardiff via Ynysybwl and I would highly recommend that would be the better route to take.

Lovely meal next to a cosy fire. Good selection of beers and ciders on tap. Staff and locals were very friendly. Great location with miles of country walks. Food was tasty and good value with a children's menu as well.

Always friendly pub with lovely atmosphere I recommend a visit to the church. Ask at the bar for the key.

The Sunday roasts here are excellent. Staff are always friendly, and it’s a lovely area to walk around. Some downsides are that there is a motocross site not too far, so on the weekends you can usually hear the scramblers in the background. Great pub, good food, recommended if you’re in the area.

Always loved this place..remember going there since I was a kid with my dad and all the characters there....the old landlord now buried across the pub in the church..Alan the farm...too many to recall . Somehow it is still charming but feels smaller and more tatty these days. Roaring log fire and cosy atmosphere..however did not have any Baileys or even a substitute which is a bit strange in a pub!

Fantastic service, lovely food at reasonable prices, the girl serving us went out of her way to be helpful with arrangements to bring my father in law in in his wheelchair and get him seated. Will definitely go back

A lovely homely and super friendly pub near walks and a very historical and interesting church where Guto Nyth bran is laid to rest. Great food , bar snacks also available. Ample parking and beer garden. Dogs welcomed.

Popped in for a pint and a sandwich. Both top notch.... Well worth it. Graveyard across the road was our target. They shot parts of a Dr Who episode there. The Hungry Earth. Wife's a fan. The pub and bar were a brilliant bonus. Staff were fantastic. I'm from Maesycwmmer.... Live in Sheffield.

This was my first visit for 30 years and was pleasantly surprised, not only by the surroundings but also the size of the hotel. The food was excellent, was served quickly and very hot. Staff were friendly and served with a smile. Only downside was the state of the car park. Please get it repaired to avoid loss of customers.

This is just lovely. Good quantity is great and quality is superb. Prices are VERY competitive. £10 cheaper than many similar establishments for two people to eat and drink there! And service with a smile! Well done guys!

Really interesting drive to get there and a wonderful old church across the road. I don't recommend the drive in the winter. Real old pub with a very nice restaurant to one side. Good varied menu which was reasonably priced. Service was pleasant without being overbearing. A few items were not available such as espresso and some dessert items but it has such a nice laid back atmosphere it didn't faze me. I think it's probably a very good steak restaurant, but I had faggots chips peas and gravy which was really good. I couldn't eat it all. Enjoyed our visit. Also an area to sit outside.

Booked 4 weeks in advance, Took my family there last week, 8 of us, including my 3 year old daughter who is constantly on the go running around, the food was great, huge portions, nothing was to much for the staff, very friendly, great atmosphere, they do their absolute best to make sure everyone is happy, my daughter recommended me & she did not disappoint, she swore by it, I could go on but it speaks for itself, highly recommended 🙌.
