Been a few times over the years and this by far, was the best experience. Took my daughter who loved it, was constantly going on about the "blackbird" and she loved it. She left even happier with her SR71 toy. Definitely a place for someone to spend the day solo or with friends & family, so much to see and take in.

I had the great pleasure of delivering some training for the guys who work on the land warfare section of Duxford Museum., repairing and maintaining the various working armoured vehicles. It was fascinating to hear the history and stories behind the various display vehicles. The guys maintaining the vehicles do this voluntarily and keep alive what, in my view, is the best section of the museum. Fantastic job! But the whole museum is fantastic, and you need a whole day to take it all in.

Probably the best experience ever and absolutely worth the entrance fee. Spent all day there. Most of the planes were practicing for the weekend airshow so we got a free display. Added bonus. Excellent day out

Recommended location. Allow at least 3 hours, but one could spend all day here. A great selection of aircraft and exhibits. Recommend you buy tickets beforehand and get there early but also enquire as to whether there is a flying schedule for the day — a ride in a Spitfire might be something you’d like.

Excellent day out to see aircraft and displays from WWI through to 1990. Allow several hours to explore. The hangers where the aircraft are displayed are large, dry and warm. The walk between each hanger can take 10 minutes. There is a mobility bus service on site to aid those who find the distances involved between exhibit halls too much. Tickets are around £20-£30 per adult.

We loved every minute of our visit. There is so much to see that we didn't get to go to all the hangars. We will definitely be going back again. The staff are amazing and the tour we did of the Lancaster was so informative and interesting. Wonderful day out if you live History and aviation.

Very big place, lots to see. Friendly and helpful staff. You can hear great stories. Toilets were in each building, lots of benches outside to seat have your lunch. There is a massive gift shop and cafe next to it, which I would rate 3 out of 5, as it was quite messy, didnt see anyone cleaning around and ordered some food and tea. Didn't get the tea. In the end, when asked again about it, they made the wrong tea as we specifically asked for black tea, no milk. But overall, it's a great place to spend your day. It takes a while to walk around. I started from 10 am and stayed till 3:30/ 4 pm.

Went on a Thursday and was very impressed. There is more here than you think. Lots of planes and placards with info on them so you get a back story. I hired a motorised buggy for the day due to mobility issues. All grounds are flat and shelters are easy to get into. Lots of seating dotted around the place so you can rest. We'll worth a visit. Staff very helpful. We got a bonus of a few planes flying overhead. There is a restaurant half way round or in the American shelter there is a cafe which smells sandwiches, rolls, cakes, sausage rolls etc. Good for lunch. I paid £20 for 3 of us, which was 1 drink each and something to eat.

A great day out for all ages. We went with children and grandparents. All enjoyed the visit. It's a long day out and even in a full day you probably won't see everything. The tank museum was the biggest hit. The volunteers and staff are very knowledgeable. It's amazing to be able to get up close to so many planes and vehicles.

Really enjoyed going to duxford. So much to look at, cafes are spread out which Is great. You don't need to walk miles to get a cuppa. I enjoyed watching the planes take off and doing acrobatics in the air. There were toilets placed through out the site.

Beautiful historic and well preserved museum. Lovely air shows and great day out. It’s massive so bring your walking shoes. Great for kids on a nice day. Best avoid wet days at 80% of the place is outdoor.

Fantastic place to visit. Took my 14 year old son thinking he may it enjoy it. Instead he loved it! So much to see. Ended up taking over 400 photos. So it's easy to get to just off the M11. Your can't miss it. Entrance price is reasonable at around £26 for adult and £15 for my son. The whole place is enormous with around 7 hangars and had a runway. Old planes are constantly taking off all day which was brilliant. Spitfires, hurricanes and other WWII planes. You can get quite close for take off and very close when they are wheeled back to the hangers. The number of planes on site is ridiculous. A few favourites of mine were the Spitfires, hurricanes, Lancaster's, Tornados GR4, Lightening, Concorde (which you get to walk through), Vulcan, Blackbird, F15, Hercules, A10 Tankbuster, MIG21.. The list goes on. Apart from the planes there was a hangar for land warfare with many tanks, artillery etc. There was plenty of outside space between hangars for places to picnic and watch the planes taking off including a kids playground. Nice cafe and shop on site. Not busy at all so no queuing. So many things to see. Take a visit your won't regret it.

Such an amazing day at Duxford museum. Not enough words to describe the story of each item, plane or volunteer. Highly recommended

Been a member for 2 years (well in 2nd year). If you live nearby well worth the money. I have 2 young children who can't get enough. Lots of interaction and fun things to do. Cafe is good but food selection is a bit limited. We often bring a picnic. The land warfare is particularly good. There are still exhibitions I've not seen.

Fantastic! Great aircraft collection, with many operational! Personal would answer any questions (Lancaster blokes are great). The history of the airfield and the people that were stationed there is great.

Amazing museum. Might think it’s expensive to get in but definitely worth it and if you make the day of it you definitely get your money’s worth. Plenty to look at and can even explore the smaller buildings. Tank and American hanger are worth the walk to the other end. Cafe is reasonably priced and clean. Would definitely recommend and revisit. Five star from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Attended 'The Americans flying day. Great to see Sally B airborne and on static. Fantastic aerial display and very friendly amiable atmosphere. Good living history displays and usual exhibits. Martin Shaw was also rolled out to provide guest commentary!

Not only an airfield, but also a wonderful museum. I think no matter you fancy airplanes or not, you can have a good day here. Nice view, variety of facilities, and lots of things related to planes are all included.

We had a fantastic couple of days wandering around the displays, seeing many of the decommissioned aircraft. On a personal note, I was impressed with my young son's knowledge of all the aircraft. It's a great family day. The only comment I would make is that the restaurant needs a few more items on the menu. The food was good but the choice was limited. There's space to picnic under the trees on a sunny day which is great. My father enjoyed a spin in the Harvard which inspired a trip down memory lane as he flew Harvards 60+ years ago.

A really fascinating day out. Mutch more than I expected. The Concorde was awesome: smaller than I expected but with a complex flight deck. The Concorde was a testing Concorde so it had some of the test gear inside. The American aircraft hanger was awesome. The blackbird SR71 was a lot less smooth than I expected. There was also a B52 (we suspect they had to chop parts of the wings off to get it into the hanger!) The battle of Britain hanger had some superb war time aircraft. Definitely need to visit again. I was also amazed that our landing fee included a 2hr ticket!

One of our favourite places to visit. Such a big place so never feels busy. Loads of fascinating displays. Everywhere is clean and there are loads of benches, toilets cafe etc. We'll sticked shop. Only downside is its a bit on the expensive side to get in, but we'll worth the price for a memorable day out.

An incredible day, really difficult to explain quite how informative it was. Fantastic staff in Flight Academy. Wonderful to meet a proper grade A hero that played a part in maintaining our freedom. To see all the Spitfires being refurbished and flying was incredible. To stand there beneath iconic aircraft like the Lancaster and the Vulcan was inspiring. To hear the excitement of my Grandson as he spotted the Vulcan that my father had told him about brought back so many memories for me. To see some of the equipment that my own grandfather was developing as part of his role as a civilian instructor attached to the RAF during the war was quite amazing. Go here ........ soon.

Super place to visit. Lots to see. Takes a day to see it all. Ensure you have a map guide so nothing is missed. Many information boards. Extra charge to fly in a vintage plane or aerial sightseeing. Little high on the entrance fee, shop prices and food outlets. Small bus takes public to furthest hanger. Toilets in every hanger. Disabled friendly.
