The place is at a nice spot and food is decent. However, they took more than 1h to serve us, it was full of flies and they did not have any dessert.

Great history,a slave market which all slaves that had to go to Assores,Madera, Europe,North and South America had to be sold or traded in the slave market where the Pelourinho is located about 3 meters from the center of the slave market.

Really nice restaurant, seems the only in town where locals and tourists mix and where prices are reasonable

Der Pranger im Zentrum der Alten Stadt wurde zwischen 1512 und 1520 als Symbol der städtischen Macht und der königlichen Justiz erbaut. Hier wurden die Akten des Stadtrats öffentlich verlesen und Verstöße bestraft. Es war ein privilegierter Ort für den Handelsaustausch, vorwiegend Sklaven und andere Produkte des Landes.

Nice village with a long history. Well worth visiting. There are a some restaurants around for lunch.

Not much evidence of the former slave market. Nice view of the beach front, a couple of restaurants and a few craft stalls.

Oldest Town on the island. Most of the buildings remained from historic times and can still be seen. There is also an archeological find about 5 minutes walk in the valley. Ibcant remember how far back it dates as I saw it only when they had just discovered it. I will update if I find more I fo.

Sehr schöner kleiner Ort.

Kann man nur empfehlen, gegrillt wird auf einer halben Öltonne. So Stelle ich mir ein Strandlokal vor. Essen super. Alles top und super nett, im Kaffee braucht man nicht unbedingt probieren.

Der Pelourinho ist eine Säule (Pranger)und diente als Zeichen der Macht. Er wurde restauriert. Sowohl der Platz, wie auch die gesamte alte Hauptstadt sind sehr klein und komplett dörflich. In maximal 2 Stunden hat man alles gesehen. Wir waren eher enttäuscht. Säule, Kirche und alte Festung -das war es dann schon. Kleiner Strand noch. Man kann das Taxi gleich für die Rückfahrt mit buchen und warten lassen.

We were on a tour of Cidade Velho and this restaurant was our stop for lunch. We were able to select our fresh fish from several options placed on display and 15-20 minutes later our lunch was prepared and ready for us. It was actually the best fish I had during my week long visit to Praia. We had outdoor seating that was adjacent to the ocean and a great breeze. It was a casual yet lively place to enjoy a leisurely meal. I would recommend the restaurant to others as a nice place to enjoy a meal.

Esta situado na praça local onde se pode passar algum tempo visitando as redondezas sem pressas... relaxando e aproveitando o ambiente descontraído que reina na zona...ver o por do sol na praia e simplesmente desfrutar de tudo.

Nice central spot to meet or find transportation. Some locals will try to sell you their products, but always friendly. Also there’s free public wifi in this spot that’s pretty good in case you need to connect

Historical place! In the past, symbol of Justice and Crown ( Portuguese colonial ) but also symbol of torture ( African Slaves).

Atendimento péssimo Pouca ou nada de simpatia má formação e o frango assado queimado e não do momento é restaurante cheio de cães e gatos não recomendo.
