Incredible resort in a quiet and beautiful part of Sicily. Amazing facilities from restaurants to spa to pools to gym to golf and to rooms. The spa plunge pools are incredibly special. Special bonus was a real world-class Muay Thai instructor. Wonderful service throughout. Only thing to keep in mind is that you will likely stay on the resort for most food options, but there is good variety. Also not so far from Planeta winery, so make sure to book the wine tour! (it's a world class winery and is recently famous from a tv show).

AVERAGE AVERAGE AVERAGE at best. Rooms: extremely small, loaded with bulky dark furniture, depressing, doors and windows are not well isolated, that rain & wind comes into the room, ice cold floors Maybe suites or villas are better. But deluxe and superior rooms are like a prison. Bed is very uncomfortable too, so forget getting good night sleep. The hotel is extremely stingy with amenities in the room/spa. Nothing is in the room, not even a glass or kettle/tea or toothbrush. You need to call the reception for every little thing you need in the room. Unbelievable and unacceptable for the prices they charge per night. They are the opposite of anticipatory service. Spa: outdoor pools are good, BUT there is not a single shower that works in the whole spa area (either hot water is broken or cold water). I think they need full maintenance. Pay attention that you can't just go to Spa anytime you want. There are limited time slots to book in advance, even to use the pool. The beds in the spa are also uncomfortable. The beds around the main pool are nice. Amenities in the spa is close to none. You need to ask for everything! Towel, shampoo, anything, always need to run after people and ask for it. In the spa area, the best feature is the steam room. The best I've ever seen. Resort facilities: mostly closed in April during our visit. No beach, no beach club, no main pool (it's not even heated to 20 degrees). Most restaurants are closed. There are only 2 options you have for lunch and dinner with such a small menu and choices. Not to forget going to the nearest town for food will take 1 hour each way and costs 150euro. Restaurants indoors are also cold. There is basically no heating available, and in April, it's 5 degrees Celsius in this region. So bring very warm clothes. Inside the restaurant is so cold that everyone is keeping winter jackets on while eating there. The beach is in bad condition and dirty, even in good weather it's not possible to swim in the sea. As there are huge rocks and no beautiful accessible beach. It's also very windy, so there are big storms and waves most of the time. I sincerely believe that without the golf, the resort can't stand by itself as a vacation destination. It's really a bad choice, I'm ashamed that I chose this resort for my family. Food: Pasta is good. But in general, the motto should be "flavorless, watery, expensive." From breakfast to dinner! If you have allergies to seafood, then basically nothing left to eat. So it's not good for any dietary restrictions. The fine dining is just an average Italian restaurant. The other restaurant with pizza had the worst wet pizza of my life. Pizza took a shower before coming to our table. Avoid all pizzas there. The price of food is higher than fine dining restaurants in Zurich Switzerland. Not to forget the location is extremely remote and getting in & out of the resort costs min 300 euro (if you don't have your own car with you). The positives in this resort are: all staff speaking good English , they are friendly and nature is extremely beautiful. Steam room in the spa area is also one of a kind.

I wish I could have stayed there. I've called three times from 8.55am to 9.25 this morning. Waiting on classical music then put on hold my call, after 5 minutes I hanged up and tried again. Another person answered and kindly ask my phone number, justifying they have might been busy. We just wanted informations to book for 3 nights stay next week. It's 9.58am and no one called back. I believe for a five star is simply not acceptable in 2022, in Sicily, in one of the best place on Earth to bounce clients this manner and consider them zero, for a hotel that sells at 600 euros per night. Simply unacceptable. Very sorry for us, for Italians and tourists in hands of such little care. So sad.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff. Definitely a lot of staff which gives over the top service. Everyone that works here, says as long as your happy. What a great attitude. If you book this hotel and love cooking, definitely take the pasta cooking class. Chef Alberto was absolutely incredible, what a talent. And Angela our interpreter and #1 server is the kindest most enthusiastic person I’ve met in all my years traveling. What a pleasure. Of course the Spa was spectacular. If you play golf, views of the ocean is amazing. Last but not least, the food was incredible. Amara restaurant on the premises is a must. It sits on the edge of the ocean. The seafood is some of the best one can offer. If you have an interest in going to Sicily- I would highly recommend. Then definitively try to stay at this resort. You will NOT be disappointed whatsoever.

Very nice resort for golfing and family recreation either at the resort or seaside. Just outside of beautiful Sciacca !!

Five star luxury. A wonderful place for a family retreat. Superb service. Many restaurants. The service, food and setting at the seaside restaurant, Amare, was so stellar that we ate there both nights of our visit. Antonio manages the restaurant perfectly.

Well maintained golf resort set in extensive grounds with a selection of rooms, apartments and villas. Staff are very polite, welcoming and helpful. The concierge is excellent. Valet parking. Several restaurants (fish, pizza, formal). Set next to the sea a small beach (imported sand, cleaned and levelled daily) with water sports (PADI diving centre). Two large outdoor swimming pools. The dedicated spa building includes a steam room, infrared sauna, gym, treatment rooms, four outdoor thalassotherapy pools and a heated indoor pool. Free to use pedal bikes are available with no booking required.

Did not stay on the grounds but had a fantastic day golfing at the course. I have been spoiled with playing top US courses including Torrey Pines. This course ranks right up there. First class amenities, service and facilities set on the perfect Mediterranean backdrop. A memorable day for sure.

The course was in good condition but the staff (security) were not at all helpful and it seemed like everything was a chore. Our round took over five hours because of slow play by others but that was not the resort’s fault-just made the day worse. The slow play also meant there was no food available when we finished. Not what I expected

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Verdura for our second stay, the first one being in 2013. The experience was spectacular. Everything, from the attentive staff to the delightful kids club and the exquisite food, was outstanding. Highly recommended for those seeking a top-notch stay, especially if you have young children. Special thanks to Rita for helping us book our trip for next year. We are looking forward to returning in August 2024

I am just leaving this beautiful resort. My experience was amazing although the weather regrettably was bad however I still had great time thanks to the activities they offer. I was upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable and with an amazing sea view. All the common areas are well maintained and the staff went above and beyond. Special thank to Max at the Spa ( a must do!) , Cristian the bar manager and Davide have been so nice and fun, really made my evenings, Giampaolo at the breakfast and dinner at Amare took excellent care of us, top notch! Filena who made the check in. I highly suggest this resort when traveling around Sicily, you will love it

What a lovely resort to unwind and get your much needed rest and relaxation! The staff and service were exceptional. The views are breathtaking. It's not too far away from the little town Sciacca. We enjoyed every little moment of it.

We have been coming to Verdura for over 10 years and it is our preferred family vacation! The location is a dream, the rooms and restaurants and Spa outstanding and it simply guarantees a relaxing time. The staff and service is exceptional, especially our dear Flavia with her amazing guest relations team - it feels like coming home thanks to her and their service and dedication, and atmosphere across the resort. If you are a golf lover you are in for a treat, and same for spa treatments with the best teams and most relaxing environment. Make sure to get an aperitivo at the bar and enjoy the Sicilian sunset. Also location is perfect for easy day trips by boat or car to the most spectacular historic sights or hidden beaches. We are already looking forward to next year! Thank you dear Verdura team from the Bibra family 😍

What an incredibly beautiful resort! The staff is beyond friendly and the service excellent throughout. It is obvious that the people that work there really love what they do. The choice of restaurants allows for a great variety of food- must try is the Sicilian Night at Liola. Rooms spacious, superbly cleaned, fantastic beds. Super Kids and Teen Club with experimental kitchen and dedicated pool area. The spa is to die for and the thalasso pools offer great relaxation. We’ll be back soon!

Rocco Forte redefines luxury family vacation, making it ultra chic and super fun. This is 7 star luxury at its finest. I have the utmost admiration for what the Rocco Forte family and company has done here at Verdura. The service level with every interaction, whether it be with the reception, the concierge, the waiters, the pool staff, the in-room dining or golf staff is of the highest caliber. Even the housekeeping understands their role in hospitality and elevating your experience, tailoring their service to your habits and needs. The housekeeper saw that we had toddler clothes in the room and so, without even requesting it, she had them bring over a small foot stool for the bathroom and small bed fences so the children would sleep safely. The staff is well educated, well put together and extremely well trained. The rooms and facilities are spacious, bright and tastefully decorated with high end furniture, finishes and plush bedding. The restaurants are beautiful. Liola was one of our favorites. The facilities are incredible. The gym is clean, bright and spacious. There is golf, tennis, soccer and fitness classes, as well as a spa. The west golf course has incredible views. The kids club is huge, well furnished both inside and outside. The staff speaks english, french, italian and german but probably more languages that I may not have heard. Our girls are 3-4 and do not like to be seperated from us but, the staff at the kids club made them feel welcome. Because one of our children was under 4, we reserved the nursery and got the same babysitter every day. The girls were so excited to go back every day and LOVED their time at the kids club. After Verdura, we toured the rest of sicily and stayed at some of the most notable resorts but nothing came close to the Verdura resort. We came to Verdura as a family of 10 and vowed to come back every summer. To Mr. Rocco Forte, this place is a lifetime masterpiece. Congratulations!

Wonderful stay. Beautiful beach, golf course, pool and spa areas. It was never crowded. Very accommodating and caring staff from the moment we arrived. There were plenty of golf carts and bikes to get around the resort as well. Deborah from the guest experiences team deserves special mention. She helped me setup several delightful surprises for my wife, since this was our first stop of our honeymoon. Deborah also connected us with a fantastic local photographer. During the photoshoot, she drove us around the resort in a golf cart to make sure we got plenty of time at all of the most beautiful locations. She translated for us and the photographer the whole time. Thank you Deborah for going above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay!

Extraordinary experience. Elegant and high end facilities. Great service. And the golf… the first day I played on the west course and I found it stunning. But the second day I played on the east course - a links course - and now I think it’s the most beautiful course I’ve ever played. Can’t wait to bring the lads with me next time

Overall we had a wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, the view overlooking the ocean is beautiful. The hotelbeach is very nice, despite being a bit stoney. There are a lot of different (yet very pricey) activities bookable at the reception and the spa is a treat. The breakfast is wholesome and of high quality. The staff is very polite and courteous. Unfortunately, there are a few negative points that have to be mentioned. Mainly, the restaurants are incredibly overpriced and the food is mediocre at best. The food is mostly bland. I would recommend to go out every evening. There was another not desastrous, but quite annoying issue. The bycicles provided to navigate the resort, were underserviced (i.e. flat tires) and there were way too few for all the guests.

Beautiful resort located in an enchanting corner of Sicily. Offers numerous options both in terms of water sports but also padel, football, tennis and of course golf. The service is up to the category, the restaurants are good but breakfast is the highlight of the dining experience. The rooms, as often happens in Italy, would need to be renovated to make them modern and in line with the category of the hotel.

Marvelous! We had to defer our trip in July until October because the celebrant, my son in law, was in the ICU the day before departure with Verdura being our first reservation. Not only were Verdura employees compassionate when I called to cancel but also upon arrival in November, they upgraded us to their best Villa which was absolutely lovely. The view was expansive and the restaurants were excellent as was the service. Everything possible was done to enhance our visit. Definitely include this property on your itinerary!!!

This hotel is truly exceptional, rivaling some of the world's most renowned luxury accommodations. Guests can expect outstanding service, with the attentive staff always ready to address any concern, regardless of its size. Boasting some of the most exquisite pools in all of Sicily, the hotel features an indoor pool at the spa that is perfect for lap swimming. The culinary experience here is simply unforgettable, with the hotel producing its own olive oil from on-site olive groves. Fresh oranges and other fruits are also grown on the property. Due to the hotel's remote location, guests will likely enjoy their meals at the in-house restaurants. The drink selection is unparalleled, particularly the delectable orgeat. Recreational activities abound, with top-notch tennis instruction from Ricardo and Martin, and complimentary bikes available for guests to cycle around the picturesque grounds. While the off-season may offer fewer options, spring and summer visits promise an unforgettable experience. It's always a good idea to check the weather before arriving. Although the shoreline may be rocky and not suitable for walking, the hotel has created a stunning beach area with soft sand for guests to enjoy. Families will appreciate the dedicated children's facilities available.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Verdura Resort, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. This resort is a true gem nestled on the south coast of Sicily, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding countryside. The staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with all the amenities one could need. The food at the resort was simply divine, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from and using only the freshest local ingredients. The resort offers a variety of activities, including golf, tennis, and water sports, as well as a state-of-the-art gym and a luxurious spa. The stunning infinity pool was the perfect place to relax and take in the stunning views. A very special thanks to Veronica for organize a wonderful Birthday for my wife with all the request i had. Also a big thank you for Tom for teaching us in Golf. Overall, the Verdura Resort exceeded all of my expectations, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It truly deserves every one of its five stars. See you next year.

Great experience, from the moment you drive in to the property. The staff is extremely well trained to make you feel welcomed and in serene. No bossing you around or telling you can't do this can't do that. Very friendly staff, super service all around, gorgeous room, amazing views, gorgeous golf course. Of course all the restaurants in the grounds are over priced, but that is to expect. If you are adventurer and have a vehicle I would recommend to check out the near by towns and restaurants for your meals.

What an amazing place! We had a little problem on arrival but it was sorted very quickly, the staff were brilliant and very helpful. Loads to do for kids of all ages and also for adults. I would highly recommend Verdura for a holiday.

A lovely hotel with very friendly service, a good spa and water sports. The infrastructure is a bit dated - frequent power cuts and only intermittent Wi-Fi during our stay. Also a number of the resort restaurants were closed on different nights but on a positive note it encouraged us to visit the lovely town of Sciacca for dinner.

Thank you very much for making me happy for our holiday. We stay in this lovely resort. We had one of the Villa located in the resort. A very special place. We loved the food of the breakfast and the restaurants are in the resort. We have tried the Sicilian Evening, the fusión restaurant and the Zagará and there were all very good. The staff was very gentile and helpfull. We tried the Irene spa , large and confortable pools. I will love to go back

This is a wonderful resort, ideal for a family holiday but also for a couple wanting to just rest and relax. The hotel grounds are huge, the resort is surrounded by the golf course so the rooms, common areas, beach and sports faclities are all secluded and not crowded at all. I definitely recommend staying in the Villas, just 5 minutes away from the resort with your own private golf cart, as they provide total privacy and a stunning private pools long enough to have a good swim. They have 2 or 3 bedrooms, a private patio for cocktails or lunch, and the interior design is just stunning - all first class furniture and appliances. The food at the resort is very good, with a wide choice ranging from the bar area, Amare restaurant, Liolà from which you see the most beautiful sunsets, Zagara the fine dining one - all throughout, the smiles and kindness of the staff is the final touch for the most relaxing and pleasant holiday.

  • 2/5 Phil C. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic locations- service is ok at best. Maurizio at the restaurant is awful. He greets you one night and has no idea who you are the next night and he is rude. Antonino at the beach is the best and should be rewarded. Who ever runs the place is more interested in how the staff looks then how they do things. This was our second time- unfortunatelly the last- the pool- the pool - the pool- can you please clean it- there is rust all over the edges- Rocco- we expect better from you

Great location with stunning views, great restaurants, excellent choice of activities for the whole family. The golf course is well maintained and a joy to play. The staff are very friendly across the whole resort and Eleonora from guest services did a fantastic job. Definitely will come back. Grazie Mille!

Indeed outstanding describes this wonderful resort! The entire staff, waiters, bartenders, reception support, shop attendants, spa staff (fantastic), room service, house cleaning, and bell staff at Verdure Resort are genuinely excellent! These individuals are definitely on par with other 5-start hotels. Plus, no doubt the in-house management group of this resort fully grasps the concept of luxury accommodations and catering to somewhat opulent travelers. Some general comments: Although we were previously aware of this consideration, a scenic drive of approximately 70 minutes is required to reach this special place from Palermo airport. However, the time flew by as our driver answered our questions and provided us with a mini tour-guide-like atmosphere during our trip. The cuisine at Verdura Resort is very good at all dining venues in the resort, but Amore is the ultimate location. Nothing like dining on the Mediterranean Sea! The daily breakfast was always a great start to our day, and the patio bar/restaurant by the pool provides a relaxed setting for lunch. An insider tip, take the speedboat ride down the coast. Great views and swimming in a 3ft deep salty lagoon in the sea was incredible. The shops in the resort were far beyond our expectations, given the range of items available for purchase (swimsuits and golf shirts to Italian designer dresses and shoes). It’s worth mentioning again, that the service provided by the entire staff in all dining areas was simply excellent! The rooms and in-room accommodations are very nice, and the view of the sea from our room was perfect. We did not play golf, bummer, the temperature was 38-39 celsius, but both courses looked great! The views of the sea are visible from almost every venue on the resort property, and the sunsets are spectacular. The expansive multi-level infinity pool is both incredibly relaxing and a hot spot for the entire resort. In short, as a family, we are fortunate to enjoy trips to fantastic hotels and resorts in some of the most desirable locations across the globe, and we truly enjoyed our stay at this magnificent place. Most importantly, we will definitely come back! Thank you to everyone at Verdura Resort - Doyle Family.

Views, service and location - the perfect balance between all three conditions makes this an excellent location to visit and enjoy. Perfect for sun and sea activities, with amazing pools and even a private beach with excellent service. Watersports and additionals may be a bit pricey, however these are completely optional and you are never pressed to purchase these services. All food outlets and bars are amazing with service and product to match.

What an amazing relaxing experience. The staff are great, the property exceptional and food was perfect from room service to eating in both restaurants. We will definitely come back and refer many guests to this place. It has everything one could ask for. We only used the spa which is also excellent.
