A solid counter-service chicken joint with a homey feel and large portions and pleasant service. The chicken was moist with a crispy skin without being greasy. When I went I got my food in 2 minutes, but while I was eating (during the lunch rush) they had quite a few people pour in. Must have a good reputation among their clientele!

Wings were delicious. Sides of coleslaw and potatoe salad were just okay. Bought a chicken breast that was dry as the desert and overcooked. It was for my Aunt who is currently in the hospital with Cancer, and she finally got a bit of an appetite and wanted a Porter's breast.......but, she cud not eat it becuz it was so dry and cooked so hard.

I grew up on Porter's Chicken. Recently I've been back twice, the chicken is no longer cooked with love. It seemed rushed, barely there seasonings just a lot of salt, especially on the spicy chicken. The last time I went, it was cold and salty. I'm disappointed to say; they are not the same.

I had been driving by Porter's for some time. I decided to try it instead of KFC up the street from it. My mistake was not going to KFC. Porter's fried chicken was the most bland tasteless I had in a long time. It tasted like it had zero seasoning, not even salt or pepper!😝 And anybody who eats fried chicken knows it's seasoning is the key! And if you want to order it spicy there's an extra charge!😄 Come on Porter's get real!!!😄 My first and last experience there was a sad disappointment😪. P.S. you need to do way better getting customers in and out timely. Waited at least 20 minutes to get my order and I was the first and only person in there when I arrived!!😕

The food is fresh. The chicken is seasoned well. The sides taste pretty good and the service is always on point. Whenever I'm in the area I always go to Porters chicken and I've been going there for years. I definitely recommend Porters and will keep coming for years to come.

It is not a fancy place, but the chicken is delicious. When you eat it feels like your mother or grandmother made it. I don't know what sided taste like because I have never purchased. It is out of the way for me, but worth the drive.

Service - For some reason they didn't get my order ready, even though I had called in ahead of time and was waiting for it, so a bunch of customers that came in after me got their food before me. Finally someone in the back asked what I was waiting for and then I finally got my order. Thumbs down for service. Food - The food was great! They have really good fried chicken. Thumbs up for food.

Came in for lunch, we got there early enough that we didn't have to wait for our food very long. Fresh hot and delicious fried chicken. Seasoned well and a great price for a 3 piece meal. I know people who also use Porter's for parties, it's always a hit.

Get the children out of the kitchen!! We stopped by yesterday and the food was horrible!! The chicken and mashed potatoes had no flavor. The okra was under cooked without seasoning. We also had the jack salmon which had no seasoning and had a weird gamey taste to it. The best part of the meal was the hot sauce. Worst 20 bucks we've spent.

Best fried chicken in st. louis hands down. Always comes out hot and fresh, and the white meat is seasoned well and flavorful. Friendly employees and fast service too. Even the prices are great! Try the jalapeño poppers, they do a great job on them.

I love this place. The atmosphere is good, the food is always delicious, and the customer service is always great.
