This Zoo was amazing. What stood out to me the most was the enclosures the animals are in. They have tons of grass, shade and are well kept. The most remarkable I've ever seen in a zoo. I'm usually left feeling sad looking at animals in enclosures at the Philadelphia Zoo and Elmwood Zoo, but this place has it done right. It is reasonably priced for both admission and the giraffe experience. The gemstone mining at the end was a favorite of my oldest. I brought my two kids and we spent about 4 hours there just really checking out the animals and reading all the info boards. Which, if you've ever been to the Philadelphia Zoo, you know that is an impossibility with how crowded it is. We will definitely be back and would love to support this zoo more seeing how well taken care of their rescues are!

We love this zoo! The highlight of this zoo is the ability to feed goats, sheep, alpaca and donkeys. They are a small zoo but they have a lot to see! We love checking out the bears, lions, zebras and even the koi fish!! Don’t forget to check out the giraffe when you are there. They offer a giraffe feeding option for $5.

Wonderful staff always helpful. Great open air zoo. Beautiful free range peacocks are fun to watch. Walk the zoo then sit down for a snack/lunch. Great day trip for any age kiddo.

One of the best and easiest zoos to get to. Keep in mind the zoo is not gigantic, but has a large amount of animals. I would definitely recommend visiting this zoo if you have kids or even just a date with someone. It’s not expensive and most the time you can just show up and get tickets. The best part to me is it’s not overly crowded and you can take time to look at the animals. *** keep in mind you might have to buy tickets in advance to make sure you check before you go***

Cute little zoo. We spend a bit more than an hour in there and liked feeding the giraffes ($5 per feed/ 3 lettuce leaves). The entry is a bit pricey overall. Check for coupons online!

We love the zoo, being local gives us the option to purchase season passes and do more frequent trips to visit all the animals. Friendly staff and cute gift shop. The snack bar serves up great spicy sausage. Get an orange zoo cup and you can feed the alpacas, goats, donkeys.. its a great way to spend a couple hours.

We went to see the Christmas lights. I will definitely put this on the calendar for next year. Beautiful display. Plus the money goes towards taking care of the animals.

My 3yr grandson loves animals, so i decided to bring him here. It's much smaller than the MD zoo, however he was able to walk the entire zoo without needing to be picked up. All of the animals are rescues, so they don't appear to be in the best of health, but there were tons of caretakers and they all took great pride in caring fir them. We purchased some feed for the animals and he had a great time.

Wonderful growing little zoo. Hope to see much more improvement! Need to work on the layout as it does not flow to see all the exhibits without a lot of back tracking. But you can see how much they care for these animals. I don't think I've ever been to zoo that was so loud with happy animals in my life! It was truly amazing!

All the animals are friendly and often come near the gates. They have specific animals to feed and times to feed their giraffe which only cost 5 dollars. We spent 39 dollars through Local Flavor and spent around an hour and half there. It is a small zoo. They have a cute gift shop and a snack area where you can purchase items. Many of the animals here have been rescued which is so neat. Definitely worth a trip. Animals include: Giraffe Zebras Camels Porcupines Lions Black, grizzly and brown bears Tigers Pigs, chickens, horses, llamas, goatsand donkeys Monkeys Peacocks Wallabies And a few more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I adore the concept of rescuing animals. I am not an animal expert, but when we visited, quite a few of the larger animals seemed to have zero energy or interest in anything. Perhaps they were all sleepy at the same time? I don't know. The cougar was pacing back in forth in a worn path in its cage. The brown bear was standing motionless staring at nothing. The smaller animals seemed much more lively. The petting zoo aspect of the park was great. My toddler loved the sheep, goats, and donkeys, as did myself and my husband. We really enjoyed getting to feed them and her interacting with them. The reptile house was closed, I guess there's some construction. Some areas were REALLY stinky, but I think that just comes with small zoo territory. The staff were all very nice and friendly while also busy and attentive to the animals. We will probably come back and visit on another day and see if perhaps that was just a sleepy animal day.

This was such a fun place to visit!! From the staff to the furred and feathered folk, you couldn't ask for friendlier interactions!! Just be on the lookout for the whimpering alpaca... if you get too close while feeding him, he'll steal your food cup right out of your hand and eat every last bit of it 😄

Cute small zoo! Close & easy to get through with very young children. A lot of the exhibited animals are rescues, which I love! Didn't really take pictures except of my husband & our baby. One of our favorites was the 3 legged wolf & his dog friend! 😭💖 Also, the wallabies & muntjacs ran right to the fence to say hello!

Love this zoo! The animals are treated well, good enclosures with tons of shade and activities for each animal, and very friendly staff. Decent price and spacious parking. This zoo is great for kids too!

Great Zoo! Took our grandson on a whim and we had a great time. The crowds were small; saw some great animals, got to feed some animals! Overall great place so close to home

It was really great. A very friendly family oriented place. Staff was nice and the families were. The zoo was big enough for my 3 little ones. It's a perfect place.

Very cute zoo in the middle of the corn fields!!! Ample space for social distancing and the staff seem to love the animals and care for them the best they can . We were pleasantly surprised to see a lot of exotic animals as well! My kids made their own scavenger hunt for the peacock ( it was on top of the reptile house roof ) which they loved . Definitely visit the large cats We loved it

If you have a sensitive heart when it comes to animals, I recommend not visiting this zoo. It’s quite alarming. I would say these animals are surviving. Not thriving. It’s shocking to see an arctic wolf covered in mud in a chain link enclosure with zero grass. Seeing apex predators pacing back and forth in their cages exuded anxiety. I’m sure these animals are loved and fed….. but we left without seeing all the animals because we just couldn’t.

I've been here a couple times and really like this zoo. It's not the biggest, but you can tell the animals are very well cared for and the staff genuinely loves them. Today I saw a keeper talking sweet to the cougar (Nicole) and you could tell that this person genuinely loved her job. I recommend getting a cup of animal feed at the entrance - there are so many to feed!

Took our two year old grandson recently and he loved it all. Small size made it easy for us to see all of it with ease. Animals are well cared for and the variety was more than I expected. Many are rescues. Any questions we had were answered by caregivers with ease and they were friendly and look like they have real connections with the animals. Our grandson was thrilled with the tigers and loved seeing all the chickens and roosters. The giant teddy bear at the entrance made him excited to start the visit. Thank you for all the hard work on behalf of the animals. We will definitely return!

First time back to the zoo in 20 years and was not disappointed. Great variety of animals. Very nice exhibits that replicate the animals natural habitat while providing guest with multiple viewing areas. They are currently requiring guest make appointments to enter the zoo which actually works very well. This helps control the number of guests entering at a time and spreads the crowd out nicely. Great walking zoo. We were there for 4 and a half hours and saw about 95% of the zoo. We were taking our time and could have seen the entire zoo if we spent less time at each exhibit. But it's hard not to spend extra time viewing the beautiful animals they house. Can't wait to go back.

Very cool. I never thought I would see exotic or wild animals that close in my life. The bears and barn animals are our favorite. You can feed the barn animals. The peacocks roam free. It's a wonderful place.

We enjoyed our visit on a weekday. The animals seemed well taken care of and healthy. Very nice little zoo!The Sicilian donkey was my favorite.

Nice and clean smaller zoo. The animals all looked happy, healthy and very clean. You can see everything in about two hours at a relaxed pace. I love that there were so many rescue animals, I thought that was very nice to give homes to so many animals in need. Feeding the goats and alpacas was fun too. Everyone had a great time, will be coming back!

Found this place while out killing time waiting to pick up our daughter from North Bay camp. Very nice little zoo. I love the fact that almost all the animals were rescued

Me my daughter n grandson Brody last June 2022 a hot day for the animals so they hide in the trees n there paddock but much much bigger better n more animals. Loved the day we had together… just wish we could have seen others w/o paying more just to feed , they should have dinners to earn money for the zoo or other money events ? Not ask already paying customers to pay more …

Great lil gem of a zoo! Not crowded and easy to walk. Loads of interaction with animals via feeding and petting! Most appropriate for elementary aged children but all ages may appreciate. If you hate long lines, crowds and huge distances between you and the animal, this is the place to be. Some complain that it is not as pristine as some of the big brand zoos but our family enjoys the down to earth and enjoyed atmosphere here. Kids don’t like to be in better homes & gardening magazine style houses -that’s what adults want. So, again this is a lovely place for children to get their hands a bit slobbery and have experiences with the animals😁.

Great local zoo! They have a nice mix of animals including the classic staples: lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, zebras and plumpton also has a large petting zoo area. All the animals are well taken care of and in the petting zoo many of the animals will let you pet them with no food required. My daughter loved this baby goat and it just wanted petting the whole time, which made her day!

This was my first trip to Plumpton Park Zoo. I normally am not a fan of Zoos. But the staff here was very knowledgeable on every animal. They spoke about their care, enrichment, and how they are all rescues. The zoo was clean. I will go back again for sure.

This is the best zoo I've been to. It seems like a small place but they have all the animals you expect to see in a zoo!

The most amazing zoo ever. Mix of farm and zoo environment. Many species of animals from peacocks to giraffes to Sicilian donkeys. Highly recommend if you are in Maryland for a weekend trip.

Great zoo for small children. Some maintenance could to be done and signage needs to be improved to some enclosures. Love that most of the animals were rescued. It was fun feeding the animals- including the giraffe! I definitely recommend this zoo. I would go again.

We visited this zoo for a birthday party. Kids really enjoyed this place. It is perfect for young kids. Its walkable, not very big, has many animals including giraffe, tigers, bears, cougar, fox, bird varieties & many more. Will definitely visit again.

This is a great little zoo that my grandkids love. You get to feed the animals and you also able to pet them. You can purchase food here without breaking the bank which is a great bonus for me.

Disappointing. We chose this Zoo as an enjoyable activity for our young children to do with both sets of Grandparents, one of whom was visiting from overseas. It was a Thursday afternoon and unbeknownst to us, was during a time that they had decorated for halloween. Such a struggle to spend so much of our time trying to shield the children’s innocent eyes from the scary and creepy displays around the place! Our toddlers were confused and unsettled by the things they did see and that made my wife angry. We were there to enjoy the animals and time together as a family as this made it difficult. We were extremely disappointed!
