I went there at night and I couldn't stop but marveled at how beautiful the environment was. From the outside, it looked like just a regular restaurant but once you enter, you'll be wowed! There is an open event center at the back where you can host a beautiful live band, wedding reception,... I guess all types of events. I had their fisherman okro soup and semo. It was delicious! The service was professional and I had value for my money. Will definitely recommend it for friends hangout and for intimate date with your loved one. I'll definitely make it one of my favorite hangout spots in lagos.

If I could eat here everyday I would! The ambience feels like a place you come home to after a long day for a meal & some drinks. You’d often find it packed with people having the best conversation in the most relaxed atmosphere. They have an outside sitting area which is equally stunning and has a calm vibe that’s shields your from all the noisy traffic ebb & flow. The food is worth every dime, at least I can speak for their swallow. The size is also a great match for the price. Their service does seem a bit slow, it’s important you order the minute you arrive, if you can even order before showing up, it’d save you a lot of time. They also need to employ a couple more waiters to help reduce the wait time.

An upscale restaurant located at Joel Ogunniake Street Ikeja opposite the popular Duchess Hospital. My visit was for a business meeting and the restaurant had a great ambiance although I felt there was need foe some more lightning in the upper terrace where I was. Service was commendable and in all it was a great experience.

The food tastes okay but it takes too long to prepare. It's dimly lit with good aesthetic. There's an indoor and outdoor sitting area and it has a mini parking lot.

The space looks pretty good, and is perfect for casual dates, and dining with friends & family. The food was pretty good. However, my date didn’t enjoy her meal (savoury feast). Her rice didn’t taste that good… kudos on the jumbo crispy prawns though. The white rice came in small portions, but the goat curry was really good. The chicken Peppersoup was also so good (would definitely recommend), but I had to wait too long for something that was a starter (it took longer than the 15 minutes that I was told to wait for). Also, I only got 2 pieces of bread rolls to come with it. The staff are very polite and helpful though.

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant, the staff were friendly and professional; atmosphere was calm and the food on point. I had their seafood okra with pounded yam and I enjoyed every bite.

Was quite excited to go here following reviews I've seen from people. It's well located and easy to find. The restaurant has great seating arrangements and sections for solo and groups, which is nice. I love the fact that their menu incorporates traditional meals and they are mostly affordable. However, the food itself that I had was quite bland and came in small portion. Would have loved if it could at least pretend to pass as fried rice. It was merely coloured rice with veggies in my own opinion. The chicken came in too much sauce and I had to wait extra time for plantain. Asides this, the service was okay. On subsequent visits, might settle for another meal option.

It's much bigger than the restaurant in vi. Wide variety of food. And the sit out is very nicely done. Some expansion work going on, so literally more to come. Parking is decent and as expected, the food is nice. There's a vibe about GRA...

Returning after 4 years, I'm amazed that their quality remains just as high. It's really impressive! Personally, I'm a big fan of their seafood okra dish. I also gave their Yam porridge and fish pepper soup a shot as takeout – and let me tell you, the yam porridge was a delightful mix of snail, beef, and more. It was so satisfying and delicious. My only suggestion is that their takeout bowl could use a bit more pizzazz – it's not as fancy as the food inside!

Yellow chili situated at Ogunnaike street GRA. They have a very nice ambience and good serving too. The food is affordable and delicious. The waiters are courteous and polite. The food is top notch. The Chapman is very nice. They have a very touch and clean environment suitable for children and dates. Also they have private places and different sections where you can sit. I went there with my friends and I had a blast. In all, it is a very good restaurant.

Yellow Chilli has the most delicious and amazing food offerings. Never had a complaint about the food despite the fact that I patronize the restaurant a lot. I won’t be quick to forget their seafood okra with pounded yam. What about their shrimps? Oh my God!!

It is very homely and the customer service is top-notch! But we were served a weird tasting appetizer, which was corrected immediately. All in all, I had a wonderful experience.

Had lunch there and I really enjoyed the meal. The environment was serene and comfortable. Customer service was also good although it did seem like they were a bit understaffed at the time. They also have a really beautiful park and space at the back of the restaurant where you can take cool pictures like I did!

It's okay I guess, real cool place to hangout if you're not particular about food. We were a group of 7... And between us all and our very varied orders the food was at most bleh. Nothing impressive. We gisted a while though, really comfy place and nice aesthetics but I was looking forward to the food and nope ...

The ambience was good and we (a table of 7) were able to get a proper sitting arrangement very quickly on a Sunday afternoon which I expected to be crowded. However, the Jollof fiesta which I ordered was far from what I expected. The rice tasted inorganic like intensely flavoured seafood and garlic chips. I don't know how they managed to do that to the rice. Even the pieces of diced chicken in the rice tasted exactly like the rice. I couldn't enjoy any single spoon of the food much less finish the food. It was barely manageable at best. But I believe it was my personal tastes that made it seem so. The Fried rice fiesta, Okra + Ogbono and Seafood Okra that the rest of my group ordered was fine. So if you want to go for a peaceful ambience and relatively quick service, it is recommended. However if you are not a fan of seafood or garlic OR you like Jollof rice with a specific taste and texture, don't go for the Jollof fiesta. The Tutti Fruity drink was a delight though.

Loved the fried prawns and fried rice was the best, just scan the QR code for the menu! I wanted to try the white rice with stew, plantains and Stockfish but recommend the fried rice & prawns combo for anyone. Plus I didn't have to wait long, the food was ready in about 10-15 minutes. Just an FYI they close at 10:00PM

Yellow chilli has a reputation of class from way back. The island branch is a reflection of ikeja GRA branch with excellence. Family fun time and also added good time. Always recommended.

Lovely place to grab a meal. They have a variety of local and continental dishes. My friends say their seafood okro is to die for. I like their Afang soup and go for their farmers pottage as well.

I loved it here. The songs that were playing sef made sense lol. The food is great. The fried rice was quite bland sha. The meats were soft and sweet. The stew was also tasty. The Chapman drink was also lovely. The customer service 5/5. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a nice cozy ambience.

Nice place for both business and personal lunch or dinner. Although I have been here before it came as a surprise that there are other areas within the building where guest can seat. There is also bar upstairs and more seating spaces available. Moving upstairs allowed me to see the next attraction. By this day in August 2021 at Yellow Chilli, a new seating area has been built and completely furnished. This new section is hidden away at the back of the property and will be open to guests very soon.

Ambiance: The ambiance is beautiful and the place is spacious. It was fully packed there so we had to sit outside, which wasn’t all that bad(you have to look out for flies and all though). I particularly love where we sat, it was secluded and “low key” The Staff: The staffs were quiet courteous considering the crowd they had to deal with that day, it shows they are well trained. Although we had to go search for the initially but they did good. The Food: I ordered the fried rice fiesta, it was really nice, it’s a combination of seafood, veggies and diced chicken. I could taste the spice in the rice and it was perfect, I recommend you eat the rice with the chicken. It will blow your mind. I always ordered the Hot Chicken wings, it wasn’t exactly wings and it was not hot for me but my date on the other hand could not eat because it was too hot for him. Might need to watch out for that. The Drink: I ordered a non alcoholic drink named “Rock sand” I really do not understand the drink to be honest, my date said it tasted like “mis-mag” lol. I like it tho, with the weird aftertaste. There’s a fountain in front of the restaurant that should be worked on as it splashes water on the floor. Parking is also an issue. I recommend visiting.

And so after some recommendations I decided to try out yellow chili and well let's just say it didn't quite live up to the hype, the ambience here is lovely it looks posh and carries an aura of exclusivity, service here is prompt I didn't have to wait long for any request, the food however was so so, not bad but nothing for me to shout about i had pounded yam and efo, whilst the pounded yam was nice couldn't say much about the vegetable, another sore point was the rest room which stank to high heavens, I couldn't even use it which is quite disappointing for somewhere that looks posh. By and large it's an ok place barring the toilet wouldn't mind coming back here

The Nigerian sea soup okro and pounded yam was delicious 😋 that pictures of the food was forgotten to be taken at first sight 🤣 and the menu. The ambience was very relaxing. The outside sitting area is very relaxing and ŕeally good for happy hours. The price of food and drinks are moderate The location is very accessible in Ikeja GRA. We walked in for dinner on a Tuesday night and sat at one of their well arranged table of three The attendant Ifeanyi was quick, efficient and friendly. He helped to package a quick takeaway package for our dinner even though they were already gone past their regular closing hour & the food didn’t disappoint! I even returned the next morning for breakfast (earlier than their usual opening hour of 10am) and got similar service! We later came back with some friends for launch & all I can say is that It was a gem I found and can’t wait to return whenever I visit Lagos

It was during Easter and it was so busy. Most of the food was unavailable I guess because of the number of people that was there. The fish in the sea food okro wasn't well done but the was tasty. The pounded yam was not but if you eat much one portion wont be enough. The bitter leaf soup with goat meat was nice. The customer service was great, the staff were so spoilt

Yellow Chilli Restaurant has always been one of my favourite go to restaurants in Lagos. I was glad to find out that they had opened another branch in Ikeja where I had to stay on my recent visit to Lagos as against Victoria Island.....and to crown it all on the same street I stayed on. The jollof rice fiesta is still the same creamy and tasy jollof rice as it used to be. My friend got hooked to it and has adopted it too 😜 The ambience is grandeur.

Yellow chilli is nice, beautiful scenery and great ambiance. Weekends are not great days for visits because you might have to wait for others to be done. Food is quite pricey. I'll recommend local dishes for those who wanna try out. A budget of #5000 should do for a single serving and a glass of drink

Located at the heart of Ikeja, you can easily drive to the airport in less than 20 minutes when there's no traffic. It's a place to hang out with spouse or loved ones. I attended a Luncheon that accommodated about 50 persons at the VIP lounge where melodious music serenade. It was a wow experience. Had fun, I ordered for Tweezers, a mild cocktail drink and buffet was served. The vegetables are nice. Trust me, you will enjoy the place when you visit. Their customer relations is top notch.

Ordered food for pick-up, we were told to pick up before 8pm because they close due to COVID, got there within the time, but still the food was not ready, had to wait beyond 8pm to pick the food up. They gave us the food without napkins or cutlery. The experience takes the taste of the food away.

Never disappointing restaurant to have good meal, the Ikeja restaurant has a great ambience, more spacious with garden space to sit down.

I love the ambience! It has a very chilled and relaxing vibe, which greatly improved the overall experience. It’s quite big as well, so different seating positions to choose from. On comfort, I didn’t really like the chairs. The back rest is so far in that it is impossible to actually seat comfortably and eat at the same time. On the food, the portions are okay. I enjoyed the pepper soup- although if you really like peppery food, you may find it lacking. I had pounded yam and nsala soup which was okay, but the soup was a bit salty. My friend had fried rice and assorted meat in sauce and the sauce was EXTREMELY salty. (I don’t know if it was a one-off thing, but you may just bear this in mind if you visit) Service is great and wait time is reasonable. Pricing is really great as well. We had starters and mains, and spent just about 15k.

The meal was good.. Tried their Afang soup with pounded yam and it was lovely. You can't be in a hurry and visit Yellow Chilli. Seems to me like orders are prepared on demand (I'll neee to verify this). Cool atmosphere with background music 🎶 You have to be patient for the food to be ready and in situations where the seats are all occupied.

The food was Yummy and the Margarita was authentic, My edika ikong was well sauced and spiced but those who had the rice and seafood felt the seafood could have used more seasoning, Will i go Yellow chilli again? Yes i surely will 😊 even if it's just for another Margarita

We went out to have our Office Christmas Lunch at Yellow Chilli and it was an interesting experience. There wasn't enough parking but the gatemen found a way we could park safely. It was my first time in the Restaurant and it is welcoming with the cool atmosphere and retinue of waiters who are well schooled in service. We waited quite a while to get our order but when it came, it was worth it. Each one of the 5 of us ordered something different from the menu which has a mix of Nigerian and Continental Cuisine. The food was good and the portions were healthy. The restaurant was full with light music playing soft enough to hear yourselves talk. The men's bathroom was small but neat and tidy. It was a pleasant experience and I look forward to having another meal there.

I was at the Yellow Chilli Restaurant for my School Reunion. It is a very nice and cosy place, ideal for family outings and for intimate dining with your partner. The facilities are very nice with indoor and outdoor dining and bar; the service is very good; and the atmosphere very beautiful Unfortunately, I don't know about the costs because I was there just for a reunion

In contrast to how it appears from the outside, the atmosphere is quite nice and spacious. I couldn't get their signature seafood okro, but I did get their fiesta jollof rice, which didn't look as good as it tasted. The nkwobi was far too small. Wasn't the best choice for a starter. Overall, it's a good place, but not one to visit if you're starving because food isn't always served on time.😄

I had a wonderful experience, they had nice food nice drinks, I say the space is okay too, nothing to fancy or unfancy (if there's a word like that). Rest room are neat and comfortable. Setting inside is moderately fair... The food is the top on the list... Shuu... And it's affordable.

Everything here looks and tastes good. It doesn't have a large parking space but the environment is neat and airy. The staff here are attentive, fast and quite polite. Table ranges from Table-for-two to six. The food takes atleast 20mins to get served and the wait time is worth it. Jollof rice tastes exactly like party jollof, well cooked with all the right spices. The hot chicken wings were juicy, bones soft and filling. The isi-ewu was the star for me. Well cooked, soft, and it came paired with plantains. I couldn't get up after the food. The mocktails and cocktails were good too. Silver swing and Chapman, do try these. The restrooms were clean and smelt very good. There's a little garden where you could take pictures. From the food to the space and the staff, 100% recommend.

The seafood Okoro was horrible, and I was disappointed as this was my first experience with them. The Okoro was not freshly made, and the fish tasted like it had gone bad. For health reasons, they should not be selling spoiled food. I am leaving a review in the hopes that they can improve and not risk spoiling their business.

So since I’ve hyped this restaurant in a previous review here, I feel it’s only proper to give an update. Do not order takeouts from this restaurant, if you have to , ensure that you scrutinize before making payment. I have found over time that they drop the quality and quantity of their food whenever you’re ordering takeouts, as most times, customers have already received their orders and can hardly make any complaints. This has happened to me more than once. Today I ordered ISI Ewu on takeouts and made the mistake of not opening it before leaving the restaurant. Needless to say, it was a mess!!! It looked like boiled meat with oil dripping from it , very poor in quality. Even the size was far less than what they offer in the native pot when they serve you at the restaurant. I felt so ripped!!! 11k ISI Ewu looking like this!!! I have uploaded a few photos for evidence. Yellow Chilli, Ikeja Gra, I used to be a loyal customer…. Check out my previous reviews. Don’t know how you mess up Mojito!. This was awful! Very awful! They really just gave me water and sugar! With a sprinkle of mint. This seefood Okro that’s the bomb! Very good!
