LUNCH BUFFET AT SERENDIB Serendib is an Indian and Sri Lanakan restaurant in Jabi which offers authentic Indian, Sri Lankan and Asian cuisine. They host a Lunch buffet every Sunday and for International Women's day, I was invited to try out their Lunch buffet. They also offer a Breakfast Buffet. So what do I think: Before dining, the Head Chef went through each course and explained all the dishes to us. He also spoke about the kind of cuisine the restaurant offers. For starters, I had chicken noodle soup, vegetable samosas, chicken pie and different kinds of bread. The soup was warm and really tasty. It had chunks of noodles, chicken and veggies. The bread which included Sri Lankan bread were mildly flavoured with the herbs and spices they were infused with. The samosas and pie were decent. For mains, I tried a bit of everything. I had the chicken biryani, mashed potatoes, beef stew, steamed vegetables, chicken koththu roti, hot & spicy chicken and monogolian beef noodles. The chicken biryani featured rich Indian spices and chunks of chicken which we liked. The mash needed some more butter and cream. The beef stew was a rich and hearty dish quite similar to Nigerian stew. The chicken koththu roti tasted exactly butter. It was light and melted in your mouth. Our favourite thing from the mains was the Monogolian beef noodles. The beef was perfectly seasoned, the noodles had a great texture and the veggies still had their crunch. The best part about this dish is you get to watch while it is being made. Swipe to see it being made! For dessert, I had cheesecake, chocolate gateaux, custard, yoghurt, jelly and rainbow cake. The cheesecake and chocolate gateau were great and nicely sweet. The custard was infused with banana and had a mild sweetness. The yoghurt was slightly sour and light. The buffet cost 5500 naira and drinks are not inclusive. Another good thing about the buffet here is that they offer vegetarian options of every single dish I tried.

The location of this restaurant is very serene. It was easy to locate if you follow the map and the ambience of the place was generally good. The restaurant is at the top floor giving both indoor and on the roof dining experience. The waiters were polite, the food was good and it was a lovely place to take pictures. Downsides: the wait time was soooooo long! We waited hours for our meals to arrive , it was tiring. The drinks weren’t all that nice too except for the fruit punch. Their prices are reasonable though and overall my friends and I had a nice time.

This place has an amazing ambience and the food was so good, I even met the Chef, it was fun.

The waiters are very polite and professional but the local foods menu was substandard and didn't taste good. But they had good smoothies and Lassis.

Senerid Hotels and Suites offers you the best rates on hotels accommodation you can have around this area. The environment is serene, there's presence of armed security around which makes the environment encouraging. The restaurant and bar is also a section of the hotel the showcase class. Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages are served here.

Terrible food. Terrible service. My friend suggested we go here for breakfast and we both regretted it. It's quite expensive and the food and service are very poor

The serenity is amazing and the food delicious. I went on a Sunday for the buffet They have 2 packages; 6000 which covers all you can eat 8000 which also covers all you can eat with water, glass of wine, a glass of juice and Chapman. I had the best time as the staff were very helpful with explaining dishes. The customer service was the best and I’ll definitely visit there more often

First time here and honestly it was pretty amazing. Due to Covid19, it was very sparse (as in, I and my date were the only people there around 5pm).. We sat on the outside tables and it's honestly quite the site. Definitely great for pictures at that time when the sun is setting. It had an overall cool vibe

This is a great getaway spot as it is hidden in a residential area in Jabi district. It offers accommodation, bar and restaurant services. A very serene environment but gets quite lively at night. It is advisable to go with your car or get a cab-on-call because of how quiet the area is. Their services are generally good. Parking space is available.

I wrote a piece earlier about this place a couple of years ago and since then there has been a lot of improvement in the outlook and policy of the new management. For starters the place has enjoyed a fresh coat of paint and a few structural adjustment resulting in more comfort and service delivery. The staff are efficient, courteous and more professional. Rooms are cleaner, sheets fresh and complimentary drinks always in place. The restaurant and room rates have however gone through the roof and are not quite proportionate to the service. Meals are particularly expensive

This is one of the best restaurants in Abuja by far... freshly prepared, delicious and color-free food, variety of food options including Indian and SriLankan. Chef is warm and welcoming, and the view from terrace is so calm and beautiful. Keep it up.🎉

Beautiful scenery in a rooftop setting. Great air conditioning and warm/friendly staff. The cosmopolitan crowd make for a comfortable and all inclusive atmosphere.

The fresh pineapple juice with ginger is delicious. I strongly recommend it. Food is quite nice. Service staff could do with some customer service training.

The ambience is nice, but the food is kinda on the high side. So, if you don't have so much money you could eat outside or buy food to the hotel. Aside that, the hotel is a cool.

The restaurant and staff were very nice and professional and the pepper soup was really nice. But the hotel and staff not very hospitable.

Located in a serene environment with modern facilities, well trained and professional staff. They have a large bar, swimming pool though it is small sized and a medium sized gym for your fitness needs. The prices are moderate and fair, there's adequate security and relatively large parking space for cars

Serendip is a beautiful place, great service and cool atmosphere. However they need to do more with maintenance of the facility.

Staff were courteous and attentive, knew aboot the dishes and the wait time wasn't long. I wish they actually had the draught beer instead of just the beer decor, but the eastern food was great. Might not be some people's cup of tea but if you've got an esoteric palate, it's not bad at all

Had a nice Sunday Brunch here, it was a buffet of Sirilanka and I must say I enjoyed it. You should definitely Sunday with your family of friends if you are in abuja.
