If your a car person you need to visit this museum. There is plenty to look at and read and see from a vintage motorcycle wall to vintage race cars and everything in between. Friendly staff and a very tidy shop. Take some time because there is a lot to see! My family and I enjoyed this place immensely!

Fun place to see a great selection of antique cars and motorcycles. So many nice things to see and wonder about the past. Love the fact that they still work on them here and build all the wooden wheels in their own shop! Awesome...

Had a great time! Check it out if you are in the area, entry fee not expensive, and worth a look. Biggest con is they are strict on the no touching policy, so be cautious with little ones. Most of the area is air conditioned. Good place to get out and stretch your legs.

This place is super cool. Totally worth a stop-in. It's jam-packed with cool towing vehicles from new to old, and also the walls are lined with memorabilia. It's such a neat tribute to an industry that works very hard, and you hope you don't need, but certainly need when you do! Thanks!

We stopped in when the in-laws were here to visit. We all loved it. Three generations had an awesome time traveling back in time! Definitely a place to spend a couple of hours.

It all started more than 20 years ago when a group of dedicated towing professionals, the Friends of Towing, decided to recognize outstanding individuals in the towing and recovery industry worldwide, record the industry’s history, collect and display artifacts and memorabilia in a museum setting, and provide information about the industry to the public. The first Hall of Fame class consisted of 27 members and today has grown to include over 300 distinguished towing professionals.

Very friendly staff and excellent collection of vehicles. Highlights for us were the old motorcycle collection and early cars from the teens. Our kids enjoyed the museum too. Be sure to check them out when in Chattanooga or passing through!

Wow! What a hidden gem in Chattanooga!! Self guided tour, you could spend 15 minutes or 2 hours. With 2 boys (1 who LOVES car history & 1 would care less) we spent only 1 hours. But I wanted to stay longer. My only complaint is not enough about each car and it’s history. While each car is labeled with a short few sentences, I am there for the history and could always read more! We loved the museum and are definitely coming back!

Loved the working shop views. Lots to enjoy even before you enter the actual museum setting. Plenty of quality vintage bikes, cars, and trucks. Glad we visited.

This is a wonderful “museum”. I add quotes because it also allows you to see the working side of museum. You can see them restoring the gorgeous cars.

Hidden gem in the Chattanooga area! If you’re looking for a unique history about a subject you may not know a lot about, the Towing Museum is an interesting and uncommon experience. The history of the first tow truck, awesome unique displays of vintage trucks and even a place for kids to play with a working wrecker boom. Give this place a chance, you won’t walk away at least learning something new about a subject you never thought you’d be interested in. Recommended.

Great place for children to enjoy some big trucks. Great place for car enthusiasts to enjoy some automotive history. All around worth the money, especially when my son got to run the model tow truck. He felt like a King!

Great collection of old cars, motorcycles, and a few planes. My grandson is obsessed with cars so we took him to this museum while we were in Chattanooga. It has a variety of cars, brands, styles, etc. Layout is nice and we all enjoyed walking around and looking at everything. I would recommend this place to any car aficionado. Free parking at the Honest Charley Speed Shop next door.

Easy access and great self guided tour. You can actually absorb what you're seeing and not be overwhelmed. We live reasonably close and will probably go back. Great for all ages.

Such a neat place! Loved seeing TN history preserved in a way everyone can enjoy! For anyone who isn’t a car enthusiast, they have plenty of cool antiques from Coke, signs, & even some old cigarette machines.

Awesome classic old car and bike museum with old style atmosphere, where the guys also repair and renovate few other classics. Inside you can find cars from 30s to 90s like Porsche 356, Mini Cooper, Chevy Camaro RS, Ford F100 and many more... you can see there also store with the parts or workshop where they create a new parts... it is not so big but for a fan of American classics it is must see...

This was a $10 entry and no crowds on a Friday AM. Very interesting place it's actually a working shop so theres a chance you'll see them working. Small gift shop in the lobby had nice items as well. Loved the historic wall of bikes and motorcycles also. So many unique vehicles and history everywhere. Loved the story on the cash register.

This museum has a lot of unique vehicles on display, unfortunately they are crammed together to a point that you can only see the front of them. There's no space around them the see the interiors. It doesn't take more than an hour to see all of the planes, motorcycles, cars, trucks, busses, etc.

If you're visiting Chattanooga, you should really check out this automobile museum. We really enjoyed the whole entire experience from the people that work there, the cars and the way the cars and motorcycles are showcased. I took my 87-year-old dad, and it is wheelchair accessible. By the way, as you're facing the building's entrance, the parking is immediately to the right. There is no parking fee required.

Quick day visit to the famous Hot Rod Garage Museum of Corky Coker. Actual working restoration being done on site and vintage tire manufacturing at the site. Huge variety of automobiles, trucks, busses, motorcycles, and a few airplanes. Also antique machines and models. Well worth the cost of admission.

Awesome collection of antique autos, motorcycles, and planes! I didn’t know Chevrolet made a V8 engine before 1955. You gotta see this if you’re a car guy.

We're passing through town on our way to vacation and my wife suggested we stop here because my oldest loves cars. This was absolutely a great find and a must even if you aren't a car lover. Kids of all ages (myself, my teenagers, and my father-in-law) will enjoy the cars and the history behind them.

  • 5/5 Ashley C. 11 months ago on Google
We went with our family and fun for all ages! Our 4 yo son is very into cars and absolutely loved the variety of vehicles! The museum is kept very well and it’s beautiful to look at (signage, cars, vintage gas pumps). Also interesting to learn about the history. Very cool that you can watch the restoration/the work being done on cars as well. The staff was super friendly and kind. Definitely check it out!

This place is pretty cool. A lot of old cars and motorcycles. Some cars and bikes are over 100 years old. Bikes were Harley, Indian, and Excelsior. Cars were Ford, Packard, Buick, Chevy, Bentley, Ferrari, Porche, Federal, Cadillac and Pierce. Definitely a must see if you like the old Harleys and Indians

  • 5/5 Jose V. 1 year ago on Google
Great place! We enjoyed ourselves watching all the restored classic cars and hot rods. Everyone was very friendly! We definitely come back to visit when we are here again. If your a car enthusiast you will love it here!

Incredible place with a lot of vehicle history. I’m a car enthusiast, I must say I was highly impressed. My favorite was the 67 chevelle (my dream car). I’ll be back again.

  • 5/5 Austin K. 6 months ago on Google
If these cars could talk, oh the stories they could tell. To fully appreciate the historic and mechanical beauty of these vehicles, you have to come see them in person. With a wide array of early 20th century antique automobiles, motorcycles, and a few classic cars it is surely a sight to see. Some vehicles are peft in thier original condition, a few tastefully repaired, and some fully restored.

I spent some time working in the towing world. It was nice to see the history and to pay my respects at the memorial. It is worth the few hours of time to see it all. Pice was 10.00 to get in.

This place was great. I love trucks and can appreciate all the tow truck guys because i own a old truck ive had to have towed many times. This place shows great respect to those guys. Disappointed extremely that they no longer have the stuffed tow truck that would have been the cherry on top of my Tennesse trip.

  • 5/5 Owen S. 3 years ago on Google
A nice little museum that had a broad scope of the towing industry. I went in not knowing what to expect and came out full of interesting facts about towing. It is definitely the weirdest museum I have been to, but that did not change how good it was.

  • 5/5 Amanda W. 4 years ago on Google
This place truly is amazing. Not only is everything inside amazing, put the people who put this place together and make this place run. I had the honor and pleasure of visiting for Museum Weekend, and I was blown away. Everyone made me feel like family here. The museum has so many awesome tow trucks, and awesome artifacts to see. The walls are lined with years and years of museum inductees. So much knowledge in one place. You also have to take a moment to visit the Wall of the Fallen to pay your respects. The gift shop is not only just towing related, but has SO MANY COOL THINGS!!! And they are open Sundays! (Great for last minute gifts). I highly suggest checking this place out if you are a gearhead, love old vehicles, or love tow trucks! Also definately consider becoming a member and supporting the museum!

  • 5/5 Brandon C. 3 years ago on Google
The tour was very cool. There are many different tow trucks from over the years. You cannot touch most of them, but there is a small truck that kids can play in. My son loved seeing all the trucks. They even have a large collection of tow toys and a huge gift shop.

(Translated by Google) It is a museum not to be missed if you are passing through Chattanooga, otherwise make the detour, it is worth it. Although I am not a fan of road vehicles, I was impressed by the number and variety of tugs on site and by the wealth of information provided on the history of these trucks.
