This is a must visit restaurant. They have a really good beer and drink selection, tasty appetizers and a good variety of entre's. The food tasted really fresh, and the service provided was great. The ambiance of the restaurant made everything even better.

Prime Rib Cocktail is delicious. El Perucho is also a great choice. Draft beer is always nice & cold.

Food is always delicious no matter what you get, employees are very kind and pleasant. Service could be better but they are knowledgeable and it's still really good compared to most places, I give it an 8/10. They have a wide variety of beers and drinks which is really cool. Honestly have never been disappointed eating and drinking here, always a pleasure.

First time at this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The ambiance and food were superb. I will come again for another date night dinner. I ordered the wings and loaded fries🤤delicious. Main course prime rib and hamburger 🍔 both excellent and appetizing. The server CRISTOBAL was very attentive and courteous.👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had the prime rib and was delicious! Good service here and very good food. The drink menu is also very varied. Would recommend if looking for a nice place to have dinner with family or friends.

Stopped by for dinner one day and we had the "cabra brava and camaron capatraz" they were both delicious and I recommend both. For dinner we had the prime rib and the nopalito salmon.. all the food was phenomenal. The service was top notch. If you are ever in Laredo TX this is a must visit restaurant.

I've always liked the atmosphere, a cozy-like feeling that gives this place but the food is ok. I ordered fish tacos on my last visit and the corn tortilla was dry tearing in half when I grabbed the taco for the first bite. I couldn't continue eating like that and only one napkin provided. Places like this, you shouldn't be asking for extra napkins. Also, I think they should remove the small tables for 2 people. It singles-you out your on a date or people assume your on a date and it might get you in trouble if your not. Also, tables are too small, down to the floor. Why would they assign such a small table if they see your clearly more then 6'3. $85 for dry corn tortilla fish tacos and 3 drinks, it's more for the location only that most of us return.

Our favorite place to eat for many years. Everything on the menu is delicious, and the drinks are always on point! My wife's favorite is the fish tacos, and the Capataz burger is my daughter's favorite with a healthy serving of chorizo and cheese and a side of perfectly seasoned fries.

Love this place! Lots of options to choose from including local beers and speciality cocktails. The menu isn’t large which means the chefs prepare each meal fresh so you’re guaranteed a hot plate. This place is perfect for casual drinks with friends or special occasion dinners. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a local favorite.

It was a pleasantly average experience. I did enjoy the meal and left satisfied. The coconut salmon was over cooked and on a bed of plain rice. Had two cocktails, both contained more ice than liquid. I know my booze, these were under poured. Paid cash and had to ask for change. Received a single bill rather than a variety to leave a tip. Worth a trip but I will try other places before returning.

I came to Laredo for Business and after a Board meeting I came to the bar to get a drink a quick bite to eat. I had a wonderful recommendation of food by Joey (a female bartender) and even better service and conversations. I will defientaly come back here and sit at the bar. If you come here ask for Joey and she will make sure you have a wonderful experience.

Every item that we ordered was excellent! Tamarind orange bacon chicken wings are a must! We don't have any negative thing to say, honestly. I love the ambience, decor. Such a classy rustic place with unique food!

Visited this establishment last weekend for takeout dinner. Ordered Prime Rib w/ Mac& Cheese and the Fish and Chips. Prime rib was on point as well as Mac&cheese. However I would not order the fish and chips again. French fries were tasty but fish was two square pieces that reminded me of grocery store frozen fish or some old skool lunch room fish..🙃 blah and too thin/ crispy. Not much for the price!

It was a bit crowded. Service was great. Fries were good. Ordered the 23 Oz prime rib... pretty sure I got the smaller size and it was not very flavorful.

Went to Capitaz with a skeptical mind set seeing the menu cuz I don't eat rare vegetables called on the menu. I ate the half chicken breast with a cup of beans n French fries n was very well satisfied. The waitress was very gracious n knowledgeable of the menu. Restaurant was very crowded but expected being today was Mother's Day. Had a great experience with my daughter n boyfriend n family enjoying family time. Happy to meet up with David - Mgr of Restaurant, after so many years past. Would gladly recommend El Capataz to enjoy eating at this Restaurant. My Hats Off!!

Food is always Gourmet quality! A bit pricey but, you get what you pay for. Always eat here when I'm in Laredo. Services and management excellent as well!

Amazing restaurant. The ambiance is very nice. Great place to sit at the bar or come for a great dinner whether on date night or with coworkers. My waiter, Jose, was very attentive and helpful. He made great recommendations. I had the Nopalito salmon which was amazing!

Everything was delicious! The Peruvian chicken was excellent! (The beans need work) we have a beautiful time here for Mother's day and a Birthday. I wish I had a bigger stomach to try more of their menu.
