A great Filipino restaurant here in McAllen, Texas. A lot of food selections - from main dishes to desserts. A great place for people who don’t have time to cook or just want to enjoy the day without having to worry what to prepare for meals. Very convenient for dine-in or to go orders. The food is not always warm, though. I wish they could keep them warm enough while the food is sitting in their trays. Also would be great if the restaurant would not use anymore disposables, or at least paper plates. Would be nice if it becomes environment friendly. This restaurant also caters. It also has a big store at the rear part of the restaurant. It has enough parking spaces during a busy day

The menu they had online e was nothing like what they had "ready" .....was really co fusion g asked her for a menu and even that didn't match what we read online. Heard they had amazing seafood pancitand dumplings they had nothing remotely close. He chose something g else from the menu and she this one is made with pig blood it's not the same......um okay WE LEFT Seemed like she just wanted to sell whatever was already cooked in the warmers.

Another great first try...was helped with the food and its contents from the beginning and offered different items. Food was super delicious and well served plus had the fresh taste. Restaurant was very clean and spacious,Lumpias are really good and will definitely return again!

I went today for the first time ever. They messed up my order. Not sure what the first picture is but it was suppose to be pancit. This was some type of peanut butter pork. Not very good. However. I wanted krispy pata because I been craving it for over 5 years… perfection. I need a Fillipina gf who can cook🤣🫃🏾

Excellent food and fantastic customer service. It was our first time here and we were given samples of as many things as we wanted, the servers were polite and enthusiastic. Everything was flavorful and well cooked and seasoned. The restaurant was very clean and neat and looks like a pleasant spot to eat and catch up with friends. They have great deals on Groupon as well. Will be back!

First time at this place, everything was yummy definitely going back again to try something else , fresh food and good service ..

If you are looking for Philippine food, this is the right place. They have pantsit, rice, menudo, lechón, lumpias, adobo, desserts and more. Also you can order big trays for events or dinners at home or work. I had a big deal from Groupon so I bought a $12 dlls coupon valid for $20 dlls in the restaurant for plates to go. So I got 2 plates with 3 different portions each one and 2 different desserts. At the end I just paid like $4 dlls. Not bad.

Delicious food! Don't be shy about asking for samples on your first visit. Everything is delicious! Entrees are beef, pork, and chicken. Great portion size, and it's already served to you in a to-go container.

I have been to this place multiple times for Customers. I will be honest I was skeptical. But OMG I was given a sample as I waited for an order. I my must BAR NONE HANDS DOWN that was the BEST PORK, Beef and noodles with VEGGIES. I have ever tasted. That sample got them a New customer. Ive never tasted something so amazing!

This place is great! They have to-go options or you can order different dishes from their menu. The lumpia was my favorite, but the pancit and puto dessert were a close second. Can't wait to be back!

This place is AMAZING!! I wanted to try everything. There aren't many Filipino restaurants around Columbus (only 2 that I know of), so this was a special treat during my trip to McAllen. The person who recommended it to me wasn't kidding - excellent service, delicious food!! It will be my regular stop whenever I'm in McAllen for work!! The meat dishes are so tender, they melt in your mouth, and complimented with the pancit noodles or rice, really balances out the rich seasonings! Of course, don't forget the fresh made desserts to top it off either!! They really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy both your meal and experience of this cultural cuisine!

Unbelieveable! My wife and I waited a very long time for someone to take our order. A woman in an apron was sitting at a table taking with a friend. We rang the bell twice (5 min apart) another lady came by the serving line pushing a cart. She looked at us and kept going to the kitchen. I could she her through the window get on her phone. We waited a few more.minutes and left. If this is how they treat their customers (also pilipino), oh my God! Shameful. We ha e other choices for pilipino food so we will never go there again.

Food is great but service can be frustrating. Stood in line to purchase a product from their grocery spot since they asked another customer to wait in line earlier. Then they proceeded to let two other customers cut the line to purchase baked goods. Which resulted in me waiting in line over 10 minutes just to find out they couldn't sell me the product since it didn't have a price. I understand the need to treat your more regular customers well, but sure made for an annoying time on my end. I will finally give Cabalen a try.

Our first time & it was absolutely delicious. Everything was so flavorful. Will definitely be coming back.
